- This video is for anyone trying to find wheels that would fit over their brakes, whether you are thinking of installing a big brake kit or already installed a big brake kit. The information in this video takes the guesswork out of brake clearances, saving you time and money.
Most BBK companies will have available to download or by request brake templates for your application, so look them up or get in contact with your desired brake manufacturer.
In my case, the Caliper and Rotor combination that I went with is unusual and no one has a template available, so I made my own. For the Genesis Brembo Calipers and Nissan Rogue 3rd Row Seat Rotors, 42/42mm Pistons, 320x28mm Rotors, bolted onto a 5x114 Honda/Acura wheel hub. Should you be attempting this brake swap, get in contact with me for the template.
Looking forward to be taking this setup to the track and seeing how they perform!!! Авто/Мото
I think i’ll be going with this brakes and wheels too. Thx for all the info!
what is the distance of the wheel hub face to the horizontal flat of the caliper for measurement that is needed for the wheel spoke clearances? I don't see it in your template.
My RPF1 clearance is a nightmare with my BBK. It has the recommended 2mm clearance, but only if the wheel weights are positioned as outward as possible.
Gibby's Garage Yea, RPF1 has a very tight barrel when compared to other wheels of the same size, sadly I won’t be able to run them in the front anymore, maybe in the rears in the future
@@FormulaDeltaOG It's truly their own downside. Strong, light, and relatively cheap otherwise.
Gibby's Garage I love the design of the spokes as well, definitely wish they would do a redesign with new technology in manufacturing and either start a new model or update the current rpf1 line to have a slightly larger barrel while keeping the weight down
Hello,
Where can I download your template?
Thank you for the awesome content and information
Hey what was the offset on the RPF1? I'm looking to get 18x9 +35 but it looks like that might not fit without a spacer?
The RPF1s in this video is 17x9 +35, it was tight on the barrel. Might work with 18x9 and a spacer
Where can I get genesis coupe brembo profile?
