My health & why stopped posting

  • Back at you with an update on everything. This is why I disapeared from social media in relative terms. It seems so strange to go from posting to RUclips multiple times per week to how things are now and that goes for my main 'It's Jonny Keeley' channel too.
Hopefully this makes a bit of sense.

Hey Johnny, it's so nice to hear from you again! I've really missed seeing your videos. I'm sorry to hear about the health struggles you've been going through - those headaches and eye issues sound absolutely awful. I can't imagine how draining that must have been for you physically and creatively. I'm glad to hear things seem to be improving now. Please don't feel rushed to get back to your normal posting schedule right away though - focus on your recovery and wellbeing. We fans will just be thrilled for any new content when you're ready. I'm excited to see where your creativity takes you next. Wishing you all the best as you continue healing. You've got this, my friend! We'll be here cheering you on whenever you post next. I'm new here, but "health" caught my eye. I am also a photographer largely sidelined four years ago with all kinds of strange physiological issues and for me, the culprit is ME/CFS, long-cov. Neurologic issues, brain fog, weird pains, and many more. It can act very differently among different individuals. Not suggesting it's your issue, but it has crushed me and you never know. Hope you heal fast and I look forward to following your story - cheers!

Hi Jonny! Mate, you have my deepest empathy with regards to being in pain and not being able to produce any videos. Last year I had to have surgery to have a massive bladder stone removed! I'm talking 7.5cm across! I've never known pain like it! Needless to say, I haven't been able to make many videos myself during the past year, because also I had to obviously recover from the surgery as well!
Anyway, I do hope you manage to get to the bottom of what is causing your health problems. All the best.

    • @charliejg
      @charliejg 6 месяцев назад

Damn, that's a large one. I also had to have surgery for a bladder stone, but mine was caught sooner at 3cm. What's interesting is that the reason it was caught was because I had a kidney stone attack. I passed an 8mm stone while on vacation in Florida. When I went in for an ultrasound the guy said 2cm. I thought he was joking. Of course, a kidney stone that big would be ridiculous!

Your/our bodies have ways of telling us to stop or make changes with something in our life’s because something is wrong. I’m not a doctor, but I would venture that this is stress manifesting itself physically. I went through it recently myself. I was feeling really narky all the time, really unsettled, wound up to the max all the time, not sleeping… pain in my neck, head and back…. eventually had an inclination to go and get a blood pressure test and sure enough it’s 207/124 plus… that’s pushing heart attack territory. A few months down the line the blood pressure is down, I’m more settled… I’m not driving or pushing myself as much as I once did. It’s working. Listen to your body mate. Hope you get it sorted.

Good to see you back on my screen. Proof, if any were needed, that you fall into the category of genuine and honest people. Wishing you the best of luck resolving your health issues. I also agree that social media can unfortunately lead to more negativity and challenge than enjoyment and satisfaction. Its no wonder that it impinges detrimentally on our mental health and it seems now to induce more stress and less of the promised positivity of interaction and beneficial engagement. Best wishes and I look forward to learning more from you soon (but only when you're ready to "get out there".

Hi Jonny, speaking as both a Mental Health Professional and as someone who (nominally) puts out videos on more than one channel AND as someone with Health needs that have drastically restricted my output, much of what you say resonates. My channels are of course tiny in comparison and I do not need them for income fortunately. Burnout IS very real and the Stats on it are not good either. Typically, when burnout occurs and performance declines, it is not fully reversible. You can see it in all walks of life from Sports, to performing arts, music and typically roles that require high mental intensity. I have one of those jobs and am aware I'm burnt out. Recognition is the first step to dealing with the problem. However, I don't recommend trying to get back to where you were before. Instead, consider what is your main goal/need. Is creative satisfaction most important, or monetary reward? Focus on the thing that give you a sense of achievement and reward at the expense of the thing which stresses you. Doing both will inevitably lead to burnout again and a worse outcome. Adapting to change, rather than denying it is key here. If you think, I'm making this up on the fly, I'm not, it is all part of a recognised theory of Mind called Roy's Adaptation theory. As for me, I can longer do Sunrises, Sunsets even are a challenge. But I still make images and have gone down a very different route and am still getting that sense of achievement, albeit in a very different way. I still have goals, but they are different ones. Hope all goes well for you in your recovery.

    Dear Jonny.
You have just answered your health problems.
Your body is reacting to the burnout you are experiencing. Stress probably too. Which is a killer, which we seem to have forgotten about.
If I were in your shoes, I would go and see a Nutritionalist to see what nutrients and minerals you are lacking. Ask them to do a complete blood test, to check your platelets and so on.
Give the body the tools it requires to heal itself.
I had fibromyalgia for 6 years, I had to cure myself as the so called doctors were not able to help me at all. I'm 100% today.
Rest, family time, love and happiness are the most important things in life. We can wait.
    Dave.

First of all -- al the best to your and for your health !!
then -- to be honest, we all know that humanity went through the biggest kind of experimental treatment ever in 2021 and 2022 ( for some even in 2023) and many young people died suddenly and totally unexpectedly , and not only young people , but of all ages .
And healthy people became very sick and so on -- we are aware of this more or less, even though the information get suppressed , there is no debate about the extreme high excess mortality rate and so on.
I can just advice everybody, even the unvaxed people, try to discharge whatever does not belong in your body ! Take natokinase, take zeolith and chlorella, but take care how to do it and which elements your body also needs and which things you should supplement it with !! ( certain vitamins, vitamin D for sure, but also C and B, and many more things are nowadays more important than ever before )
And one advice -- do no be too trustworthy towards big pharma !
