  • Vermont-based duo Carling & Will - featuring Carling Berkhout and William Seeders Mosheim - perform their own tune, "Indian Summer" at the Fretboard Journal. Berkhout is playing a Seeders-built 12" Dobson Special open-back banjo while Mosheim plays a 1947 Gibson LG-2.

    Very Kora sounding and dead on what Indian Summer feels like. Beautifully played and composed. I've not heard a Banjo played like this. Lovely!

    Your banjo sounds like a harp on the high notes. I'm sure I've never heard that from a banjo before, and I've been playing since 1975. Just lovely.

      @@carberk11 Thanks for the tip - looking this up on Zepp's site apparently it's also called "Little Birdie" alternate tuning.
