  • Cattle Panel Greenhouse has been started . Our first ever greehouse build and first on the homestead. The day 1 was a success, framed out end walls and came up with some homemade tie downs. Stick around for day 2 .
Special thanks to "Blessed and Beautiful Homestead"

Love this build, and your style of teaching. Very thorough, simple and detailed. We might do a version of this with plastic and see how it fares for our Texas panhandle wind. Bet we could convert to polycarbonate panels if needed. The strapping is probably a good idea, we'll be sure to use that. Might do a spring-controlled louvered vent above the door facing east with an intake on north corner. We have dust storms from south and west to also contend with in spring/summer.

I ordered 6mil plastic from amazon . If you double layer it'll last a lot longer . When plastic gets in ill show it in Day 2 video

@@ChristianHillHomeStead With 2' sides, seems it could be widened a foot or two and still have >6 foot headroom.
      God's Son is back btw.

I have to say, I don't think those tie-downs are going to function very good. Besides that, looking good enough to get the job done!👍

True i thought the same way , but we have had a few tornadic storms, and high winds arou d 80+ and tie downs have held pretty good . I did decided to move them and wrap them around the 2x4s instead of just anchoring the tie downs to the 2x4s. . We do enjoy the feedback thank you .

@@ChristianHillHomeStead yeah, I thought wrapping them made more sense while I was watching. When I saw you with the cut off wheel, I thought you were going to use the hole for a screw or something. 😏

@@brad0805 yea we learn as we go . But now im glad i changed setup . Theres no way the screws wouldve last without splitting the frame . Now we got to see if it will survive this winter. . Next greenhouse will have more prep and thought into it
