As someone who found the MMZ games a bit too hard (for a portable system at least), I'm so glad I got to see why this character kicks so much ass firsthand. Thank you for that, ZX!
Heartless so that's why ZX Advent felt a little unfair. But I still beat it with out using the triggers due to Mario kart 7 destroying my triggers on my 3ds.
I just beat this game yesterday (I have played all classic, x and zero games up to this point and I say this game has to be one of my faves now) and I actually got to the secret boss without knowing about it or being spoiled and when I saw him my face was in pain from smiling so much
Here's an idea. Bring back a classic ability from the X series. When he's at half health, he uses Sougenmu (Twin Dream) and they both try to murder you. Or just add Rekkoha to Tenshouha.
This was one hell of a fun fight! Felt like the culmination of all the Mega Man skills i'd acquired in my childhood being put to use. Made sure to save a file right outside this guy's door so I could fight 'em whenever.
Omega is only difficult the first couple of times you fight him. I think it's because, up to that point, bosses have had walls you can jump off of, and were generally big and/or stationary. Often times being slow as well, or having long windups or cooldowns before and after attacks. Omega on the other hand simply rushes you, giving you no time to figure out a pattern. He has just enough attacks to trip you up. After you learn him though, he's just another boss.
Late response I know, but at I thought the same thing. At the very least, it makes sense from a mathematical standpoint: anything multiplied by zero is still zero.
oh boy, more late responses. It still would make sense in the whole scheme of how Model X works. In the X series, X, the titular character, uses a variable weapons system in order to harness the abilities of opponents he defeats. A cosmetic change to absorbing and being able to use the weapons he gains from enemies is a colour change, when any of these external weapons are equipped. In the ZX series, Model X works similarly to the variable weapons system found in the Classic and X series, aside from the fact that it only works while in conjunction with or while in possession of another Biometal, allowing for the usage of a Double Rock-On/Double Megamerge, which is Model X's primary ability. If we use the context above, linking the Double Rock-On System in ZX to the Variable Weapons System in X and Classic, it's pretty safe to assume that Model ZX is either primarily Model X taking main control of the 2 Models, inheriting the other Model's appearance and granting some sort of buff to the original Model's Abilities (In Model ZX's case that would be the Buster Shot) or the 2nd Model taking main control with Model X as support, once again, still being part of the design by inheriting the colours and granting a new move.
When I saw him the first time, I was like ''NO, NOPE NOPE, Not doing this, you can't do this to me, game!'' What followed was a marathon of death after death after many deaths... It was glorious
My theory is that Omega is loyal to who (or what)ever let's it cause the most devastation. It'll be loyal to you only because it cannot kill things when it's just a biometal.
Listening to this after the Mythos version came out makes this version sound really soft. I didn't have any such thoughts when I originally played through the game when it came out, mind. Back then, the music sounded as amazingly hectic and in-your-face as Omega's souped-up AI.
I still remember him defeating me over a hundred times in hard mode by just a single swing. Damn i was sweating while changing Models constantly. My hand was so stiff and it was intense, i can't beat him with just a sword and a gun so i switch constantly. He was hard in MegaMan Zero 3 to defeat but ZX was completely harder than i imagined. He was milliseconds faster than me in ZX. It felt like eternity has passed and i destroyed him after trial and error. Damn it brings back memories and sweet trauma when i hear this music.
It puzzles me how some ppl tell me that they had a hard time with Omega in Z3 while i defeated all 3 of his forms with our taking dmg, maybe I'm just good at dodging his attacks
Man I remover getting combo killed from full health so many times but I gotta say it was all worth it to fight him again and crush all the bosses with model O. What a beautiful game to replay.

For more challenge, Vent/Aile using Model X just have to get there from the save point without damage. You don't need the Z3/Z4 cartridges to fight Omega Zero. You need them to fight the Z3/Z4 bosses, which are an alternate way of unlocking Model OX (as opposed to just beating Omega Zero)
The place where you battle him is past the giant spike corridor. I don't know what you're doing wrong, since he's supposed to be a respawning boss. You don't even have to beat the game (You'll need to do that to unlock Model OX though)
So Zero beat Omega, and then he got sent in the distant future, somehow powered up along the way, and then got his ass handed to him by Vent/Aile? Poor bastard.
TheZeroSbr Actually, according to the semi-official story, this Omega is a materialized fragment of Weil's (aka Model W) memory, hence probably explaining why he's so outrageously powerful in ZX: it could have been how Weil thought of Omega.
***** I think omega did become a biometal but you also have to factor in where u fight omega its constantly changing to where he's fought in zero 3 so likely when u fight omega in zx its the memory that's linked to that place in time while the real omega became a biometal at some point and time
+Adam B-R yes, first we have to remember that this omega(in my theory)is a memory linked to that room and what happens when you kill a memory *it comes back* because in zx whenever a boss regenerates in this game usually after you defeat a boss you would get a notification however with omega you don't and we also have to remember the biometal you get after beating him for the first time, it radiates and floats on its own despite being in relic form, it was old and undiscovered much like any relic which also means its power was weakened over time but still it has enough power to sustain itself and when u restore it the biometal or omega can reach its original power much like u have to defeat 2 bosses per biometal (-model x,z,and omega of course) to get them back to their original power however you only had to restore omega's biometal and not fight omega again to finish it because it's power had only weakened over time and not split into 2 parts like the others. And the next part has to do with the area you are in where you go to fight omega and receive his biometal which I'm including the area as a whole it may be a area that was built over the remains of that area in zero 3 where you fought omega and zero awoke as I'm pretty sure a memory can't just plant itself anywhere it desires and due to all the energy that was going on in the fight with zero and omega the power that had been pouring out as they fought could have sustain the place in a digital or cyberspace like way long after the fight was over with the physical area being destroyed obviously due to something being built over it. But in the end this is just a little theory I had as I love looking into the lore of games and seeing if everything can have some end to it even if its vague so this is just a theory( and I shall not say game theory) plus I've spent like 8 minutes minimum typing this comment hopefully this will suffice *hopefully*.

For Zero 3 :
Capcom : Alright Omega we made you cazy strong but we need to nerf you a bit.
Omega Zero : What ? Why ?
Capcom : Cause you see you are the final boss of a 3 fight boss rush, which come after facing all previous boss of the game, and we doesn't want to frustrate the player.
Omega Zero : OH Man screw this, why do you keep doing this refights seriously ?
Capcom : Well it's tradition of the series, so no way around it.
Omega Zero : Tss fine I'll go easy on the player.
Few years later :
Capcom : HEY Omega you're still around ? Come here.
Omega Zero : What do you want this time.
Capcom : You see, we're making this new game, which is more open than before, which mean we have place left for additionnal content.
Omega Zero : Yeah so.
Capcom : So we were thinking since you are pretty much the most beloved fight of the Zero franchise, we're going to make you the bonus boss of this game.
Omega Zero : Really ? NICE.
Capcom : OH And that mean you are a superboss this time so...... no holding back this time.
Omega Zero : I can go all out ?
Capcom : Yes, make these poor players suffer as much as you can !!!!
Omega Zero : I've been waiting for this HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!
Even more years later :

God this song makes me feel alive! I am happy when I finally beat Omega Zero and the fight is hard as hell when u play in hard difficulties!
As someone who found the MMZ games a bit too hard (for a portable system at least), I'm so glad I got to see why this character kicks so much ass firsthand. Thank you for that, ZX!
zx's was harder and i had so many times of restarts because of sub tanks
Heartless so that's why ZX Advent felt a little unfair. But I still beat it with out using the triggers due to Mario kart 7 destroying my triggers on my 3ds.
The zero series is hard because the game forces you to play in a "no upgrades" challenge if you don't farm like crazy, mostly
Omega: Ware wa messiah nari!
Spike pit: Hold my beer.
Equip the Model H, and done.
I just beat this game yesterday (I have played all classic, x and zero games up to this point and I say this game has to be one of my faves now) and I actually got to the secret boss without knowing about it or being spoiled and when I saw him my face was in pain from smiling so much

Olha quem eu achei aqui kkk
Omega is only difficult the first couple of times you fight him. I think it's because, up to that point, bosses have had walls you can jump off of, and were generally big and/or stationary. Often times being slow as well, or having long windups or cooldowns before and after attacks. Omega on the other hand simply rushes you, giving you no time to figure out a pattern. He has just enough attacks to trip you up. After you learn him though, he's just another boss.
The “Hard Revenge” part in the title is accurate comparing how omega was in ZX than Z3
All my homies love Omega.

Model ZX looks nothing like X. Just Zero
Late response I know, but at I thought the same thing. At the very least, it makes sense from a mathematical standpoint: anything multiplied by zero is still zero.
I think that it would look kinda like spider man if it were a fair merge lol
oh boy, more late responses.
Actually ZX looks more like the initial concept for X that was turned down and made into Zero.
latest response.
yea we know he doesn't,nobody saw him as X anyway.
The sound all enemies hear when you use overdrive with model Ox.
for some reason when I first heard about omega I imagined him looking like zero with super saiyan hair
When I saw him the first time, I was like ''NO, NOPE NOPE, Not doing this, you can't do this to me, game!''
What followed was a marathon of death after death after many deaths... It was glorious
*Model Z seeing Omega*
Model Z: guess I will kill myself again.
holy shit the pan flute part.
I wonder if I will be in control of myself if I use Model O by itself.....
+Spideyfan X I sure as hell won't ._.
You don't control model O, model O ALLOWS YOU to control it.... Unless it gets tired and takes over your mind and body.
My theory is that Omega is loyal to who (or what)ever let's it cause the most devastation. It'll be loyal to you only because it cannot kill things when it's just a biometal.
My theory is that Model O has a sinister energy of sorts that controls and changes the mind of who or what is using it.
I could do test on Some smash fighters like incineroar lets see and find out.
ughhh I can just hear Omega's taunting with this theme...
WE REACHED THE MILLIOM VOEWS LETS GOOOO
YEEEEEESSSSSSS 😄🤚
Listening to this after the Mythos version came out makes this version sound really soft.
I didn't have any such thoughts when I originally played through the game when it came out, mind.
Back then, the music sounded as amazingly hectic and in-your-face as Omega's souped-up AI.
I love the part at 0:45 bc its the same part that plays when Omega Zero emerges in Z3
It would be crushing to finally destroy him... then fall victim to the spike pit.
F for you, comrade
It puzzles me how some ppl tell me that they had a hard time with Omega in Z3 while i defeated all 3 of his forms with our taking dmg, maybe I'm just good at dodging his attacks

I wish someone would hack a Model UX in this. UX = Ultimate X or Model X with his Ultimate Armor. It would still make sense if it's cannon. It's just like how Model X himself maintained his double charge shot from MMX2 but what if in Area N, we find X's Armor data or something and Fleuve (that repairer of the biometals in Area X) will make X's Armor into a new biometal to be merged by Model X and it's gonna cost a lot of E Crystals. For more challenge, Vent/Aile using Model X just have to get there from the save point without damage.
Moves would be:
Normal:
Sub/R = Nova Strike
Sub/R (Medium Charge) = A stronger Nova Strike with splash damage
Sub/R (Max Charge) = Giga Crush (Giga attack from MMX2)
Y = Buster
Y (Medium Charge) = Max Charged Shot
Y (Max Charge) = Max+ Charged Shot

You don't need the Z3/Z4 cartridges to fight Omega Zero.
You need them to fight the Z3/Z4 bosses, which are an alternate way of unlocking Model OX (as opposed to just beating Omega Zero)
This fight is awesome, except when his AI keeps telling him to use Rekkoha.
Omega Zero: I am the Messiah!!!
Bad bad Mettaurs: Hold our reploid hammer

The place where you battle him is past the giant spike corridor. I don't know what you're doing wrong, since he's supposed to be a respawning boss. You don't even have to beat the game (You'll need to do that to unlock Model OX though)

Why the heck wasn't Omega this tough in Zero 3?? It would have made the climax to one of the best MegaMan games ever so much more satisfying!
Lord Majora Could be a possibility.
I still respect him alot
This is amazing I love fighting omega over and over in zx and in mmz3. Megaman is a masterpiece! And the music, it is so arcade-ish! Gotta love it!

I wasn't a big Megaman fan back in the day. So ZX was technically my first Megaman game. I knew of Classic Megaman, Megaman X and Zero but never played their games before. So whenever I got to Area N and found Omega I was like..."Z...Zero? What the fuck are you doing he-OH SWEET GOD WHY." And I get fucking destroyed again and again.
I did NOT expect that to happen and it was one of the scariest and funniest gaming moments I've had xD
Let's be honest we were all dying of excitement for this rematch not only is the rematch significantly better than the Zero 3 fight, which solved my most major gripe with the fight being that the original was too easy and was underwhelming because of it but not only do you have a kickass fight that is fun and challenging but not unfair but you also get to play as said fun and challenging boss when you beat the game and fight omega as omega not going to lie I abused the shit out of omega when I got my hands on model o
How quickly would the Model W/Serpent fight end if the protag stuck a photo of Zero's face on it's back and pointed it out to Omega?
