I’ve sold most of my pro stuff but got a few of here toys three years ago and Covid-19 almost killed me for three years. Now I’m getting better and want to learn more about this technology. did everything you justdid and nothing. Been messing with this thing for hours and cant get any sound in headphones. I wanted it for my MBP and cant get ot work there either. So decided to use it with Ipad air.. NOTHING. WTF am i missing? Every video on youtube makes it look like you just plug in and go. Not true at all. I downloaded Amplitube and ToneX. I have ToneX open right now on Ipad. NOTHING.. Is there other steps? Like switching audio inouts on macbook or ipad? which i also tried. Something isnt right. THis not just plug in your guitar and away you go.. Can someone please help? IK multimedias support is useless.. Im 5 seconds away from returning this thing. EDIT: returned next day.
The problem was probably the volume of your IPad. I had the same issue. I haven’t get any sound because I set the volume on the IPad at the lowest. Then I put it at the max and it worked.
The hdx simply doesn’t work with an IPad, period! The hd2 is much better as you can control the volume and hear what’s going on. If you buy the hdx you’ll be returning it within a day or two so save your money.
Did't he just demo it on an iPad though? I just got one, haven't even plugged it in, but plan on iPad all the way. Guess I better head on down to my basement music room and give it a shot.

I wish more reviews would mention this. Irig hd x is really trash with no input gain adjustments
The hdx will only work with either an IPhone or a. Mac laptop, that’s it!
If you’ve got an IPad you’re out of luck.
