@DMSProduktions thank you so much for the kind words, mate. Very appreciative. Not as far as I know, I'm not! Maybe if we go back in the history there could be a common relation but not that I know of currently!
@@BenDewhirstMusic Ahh ok. I used to go to prim school with him about 50 years back! There aren't very many of them, & we were mates. I thought you may have been his son or nephew maybe! Cheers dude! I've known Shane quite a long time as well!
The only thing that is more awesome than the Artist Strat is Ben’s playing. What a fantastic addition to the channel. I hope he does more reviews along with yours Shane. A major kudos.
Thanks Ben and Shane. The new line up from Artist looks pretty good and this one does pack a good set of features in for the price. Good to hear it sounds and feels good to play. Looks like Hank has stepped up his game as we've seen some good guitars come out from his bench and we don't need to limit ourselves to only guitars QC'd by Leo anymore.
Great playing Ben! I'm a huge fan of this guitar, as I'm also more of a 'strat guy' too. It looks like a piece of art, and sounds great too. You make it look easy to play too. Thanks Shane and Ben!
Very Cool, Thankyou Shane and Ben. Artist Guitars have really stepped it up with their new series of Guitar Releases. This Guitar is Stunning looking and Sounding and Ben's Amazing Playing really showcased the guitar well. Awesome. All The Best. Cheers
Go Artist! And the artist too (nice one Ben). Nice to see the quality coming up on these - in the past those QC stickers have been a joke (long story with no time) which is a shame as their guitars often tend to sound quite good. Looking forward to hearing the others.
Beautiful Friday evening (of our time), interesting video of an attractive guitar including its control with a great musical performance. Have a nice weekend. Greetings. Pavel CZ.👍👍👍
Great video. Thanks. Shane & Ben. Was the single coil hum made worse because of the hotness of those pickups? I have an old 1998 Affinity Squier Strat through a Roland Cube 40, and there is virtually no hum at all. I'm looking forward to the T style video. I sort of think for my use, 3 pickup options is enough. Regards Rod
Cheers Shane and Ben.... I got the Grungemaster, cos you forced me!!! Its actually alright! The pickups are a bit hot for me, so they're due be yanked out... Nice playing Ben👍🏼
Im not a fN of heavy relic'd guitars but this guitar sounds amazing and getting stainless steel frets and a roasted maple neck at that price is also amazing! Unfortunately not available in Canada.
Thanks to Ben & Shane, (that righty D chord was exquisite!) I'm on the fence with, not so much the look, but the premise of this sort of painted over paisley finish. I mean, who in their right mind would paint over paisley? 🙂 Anyway, it's good to see Artist guitars being more adventurous.
Some sweet playing from Ben, there. Unfortunately, at the moment these higher end Artist guitars aren't available on their UK website. Hopefully, that'll change in the near future.
May be Artist make the strats to a higher standard, but as a long time Artist customer, I was disappointed in the QC of the two A73’s I bought recently. One I returned and the other Artist gave me a large discount on due to issues. The one I returned was unplayable out of the box the neck was so bowed. I straightened it but could never get it playable the way I liked due to fret buzz. The finish looked amateurish on these too. I’d recommend a Classic Vibe over the ones I received alas.
Yes, this was truly my favourite of the three. Strat bias is showing!
You have a very nice touch Benno! ARE you related to a Shaun/Sean Dewhirst/Dewhurst at all??
Cheers!

@@DMSProduktions I'll have to dig into old mate Ancestry.com for that one I reckon 🤣 we shall see!

Too kind, matey! Thanks so much.
A great looking and sounding guitar. Very good for the price. Cool review guys.
Glad to see someone laying to rest any prejudices against ceramic pickups. Good ones sound good!
I'm confused. Artist website says they are alnico 5

Yes well, we all know Leo's REAL name now DON'T we? ;oP
The Artist looked and sounded great. Ben's playing seemed like a good match for it too. Great video Shane!
Sweet tones there, Ben! Artist doesn't make crap any more. They have stepped up and now deliver the goods.

Cheers, friendo! Mate I was pretty damn taken aback by how nice this thing was, considering the price.

Awesome playing Ben! Love those hotter pickups! 🎸🔥🎸🔥🎸

Wait a minute when did artist start doing models with stainless steel frets? I've been asking them to do this for ages!!
How good hey! My name's John too and I play the guitar also lol
@@redcliffeshufflecore did you also want artist to start doing stainless steel frets?

Soooo stoked you are doing the new Artist range. Can't wait for the tele.
Thanks! More coming up soon. 🙂
Other than it being backwards, it’s absolutely stunning.
Awesome playing 🫡
I'm normally a LP kinda guy, but I really dig the features, sound and look for the price. Cheers!
Ben can play!
I like the interaction between Ben and Shane. Would like to see Shane in the full review 👍
A Lefty like this would be a game changer !
Great playing Ben, great tone from that guitar Shane, Paisley not really my thing but underneath a relic .... nice
Cool guitar, I like the paisley on it! Great playing Ben, and I saw you Shane doing the Albert King thing!!😎🎸🎸🎸🎸
haha thanks mate, I snuck in a two note chord thing under the groove :-)
Sounds good. But what rig are you running through. It can make an difference
Oh man ,if I hadn't just spent heaps on a couple of new guitar's I'd try and pick one of these up as a nice little modding platform.
Great video. Thanks. Shane & Ben.

Could have been that! I reckon the most likely scenario would be the lighting and other video making paraphernalia that worsened the hum.
Ben made this guitar shine, great player!
Cheers Shane and Ben....

Man... that opening jam.. Awesome!
He's a special sort of player hey!
Excellent playing

Where are the guitars made? Certainly not in Australia at that price.

Thanks Brett! Cheers man 😊👍
Sounds are great, but as for the aesthetic, I dunno. I would have to see it in person to decide . Ben is a monster!
That's actually a legit thing. People did paint over to Paisley
Be good if they put stainless steel jumbo frets
fantastic👍🤠🙏
Shane, Shane, Shane, no lefty's for us. Shame on you. LOL It's an awesome guitar for an amazing price. Too bad they left us out
No offense meant, and I enjoyed the video, but his idea of "clean" doesn't match mine 😊. Maybe I've been playing wrong all this time.
No stainless steel jumbo frets
I would have to sand that body down and refinish it first !!!
They sell it without the Relic job as well.
I was thinking of starting a new business. Repainting all the Relic guitars after the craze is over.
Looks like someone dropped it on a gravel road and ran over it with their pickup.
Sounds great looks dreadful.
Yeah, not really a paisley/relic fan either. The black paisley tele on their website is strangely growing on me though 🤔
Piggubs?
No, Sorry will never get this! a FAKE is a FAKE is a FAKE!!
Yeah we know that
