I feel like the hidden staircase on Five is for the zombie spawns, so that way the game wouldn't have to respawn entities if you transitioned between floors. Instead letting the zombies that spawn there to go where the players are. Also just in case two players are on separate floors the zombies can split up evenly from that spawn.
Fun fact about BO1 on the Wii: on Kino, if you go into the alleyway and look up around the middle of the map, you can see the big black teleporter boxes. For some reason, the Wii version has those placed there when they're not in other versions. Maybe since the Wii uses an earlier build? You can verify this on the Dolphin emulator.
5:43 if you leave your weapon in the pack a punch on bo2 and press ur shoot button it'll just knife for you i believe, i remember doing this on town at least

Found this when playing with randoms. The Pentagon Thief CAN crash the game. Here are the steps: 1. Play with at least one other person. 2. Get any weapon but keep the starting pistol 3. Turn the power on and get Jugg 4. Get one of the trap pieces and put it in one of the traps 5. When the boss round starts, go up stairs to the offices and activate the trap 6. This step is very hard, make sure you have your second weapon in hand (NOT the starting pistol), then keep running through the trap while the Pentagon thief is chasing you and right when he catches you you have to go down from the trap. Instead of him grabbing your second weapon you had, he'll take your starting pistol instead so you'll have your second weapon equipped while down. and finally 7. Simply shoot whatever weapon you had while downed and your game will instantly crash.

There is an unused map in BO1 under the name 'so_narrative6_frontend' which reuses the main menu room except this map appears to be designed for testing ingame cutscenes from the campaign. The computer can also be used to cycle through Mason's animations. This map happens to also exist on the PS3 version as well but I am not sure if the map exists on all the other platforms at all.
Zombies fact for BO1: A voice test was accidentally left in the files for Nikolai on Der Riese. It can be triggered during normal gameplay and it’s quite obvious it was never intended to make the final game! On Town, if you have a mod that has a “forge mode” tool(move objects), you can move the front door of the room directly below the MP5 room and enter like it could’ve been a playable area.

The dance the NPC does on bo1 when doing the unused execution is also the animation the astronaut does on moon when ur down or using the bounce pads in the bio dome
Fun fact: On MW2 2009, in the mission Whiskey Hotel, at the end when you get the flares, if you don't pop them and instead backpedal to go pick up another weapon, the game will soft crash back to the main menu because the flares don't have a world model.
I think the door the comment was referring to was on the same clip the comment was showed at 14:36 - 14:37 The bottom-middle right tv screen (The tv to the left of shows a communist flag while it plays) For a second or two you can see a guy looking through the small window on a similar door, maybe thats the door clip the comment was referencing Its awesome to see more of these exploring series
Looking at all those extra rooms that they left out in five makes me feel bad because I personally would've loved for there to be more playable space on the top floor. It is basically a death trap of a location outside of the table glitch.
Man I really wish we could try these early Five layouts. Just a few small changes could make the top floor not a total death trap, although I guess using that stairwell downwards would get pretty hairy as well. It's just fun to see what could've been.
For a video on BO2's level design, I'd like to see an actual side-by-side comparison between the zombie spawn rooms in the Pack-A-Punch area of Tranzit/Town and the zombie spawn rooms from the laboratories under "FIVE". They definitely copied and pasted the general layout, and the canisters are even in the same exact spot. I actually believe the entire PaP area may have used the identical layout from a specific corridor on "FIVE".
I thought I remember a glitch/exploit similar to the tables at the starting of Five where instead of jumping on the window and onto the table, you can dive into the window out of bounds and mount above the ceiling of the elevator hallway. I did this on console many years ago around the release of the game.
My theory to why the staircase exists: If you have zombies upstairs but then take the elevator down, they would make the zombies take the stairs to get down and vice versa
Fun fact: if you have the pentagon thief steal all of your weapons on co-op, your teammates will see your player model holding a Bowie knife with two hands

The crashing part with the pentagon thief might be a console thing only… can’t test it sadly… the rpd you were talking about seems to be the lsat but sped a bit would be my guess… also in bo2 use the mp scorpion evo with extended mag and the fire rate attachment (in campaign it’s rough getting those 2 attachments without spawning it in as ur primary weapon when you choose it) but I don’t have a pc to test this but from what I’ve been told if you use those 2 attachments and and make ur game speed faster it’s fully possible to crash ur game and if not give massive frame loss
4:50 if that shot was taken from the hall behind Quick Revive, the models for the paintings would still be there in the final build, because why delete the paintings, but not delete the hallway?
I’m not 100% on exact numbers but the instakill fall damage starts around 600 fps and loops back around to never dying around 2000 fps. I’m also not 100% sure if it’s only BO1 and before or goes up to BO2
It’s because he’s playing pc not console if you have a gun and pap your one an only gun before he gets you then the game will crash. It’s pretty funny to do if someone has a ray gun an you don’t or if you want to let your team not play anymore cause they never revive you you can say “karma bitch” and shut it all off

Downloading the video, yes, that is a near frame perfect transition. 1 frame of black on 60 fps.

The staircase isn't actually connected. Also any zombies that aren't damaged do respawn when you take the elevator

The secret stealth animation reminds me a lot about the animation at the beginning of the mission.

Oh yeah also one thing is: In the Pack A Punch room on Kino, reloading will play the AK-74U reload sound instead of your normal gun reload

In Cell Block Grief, I believe if you noclip to the juggernog spot of MoTD, you can buy juggernog and actually have it in game.
