I would stay up all night, especially on update nights, to do quests and I'd end up having to step away to process lol Now I get on, do my commissions, spend my resin, probably take photos, admire venti, and leave.

It’s actually different for me. This feels like a song that I’ll revisit when the end has come. Once we’ve found our sibling and we depart or when we’ve reached the end of our journey. It feels like such a sad song but it still feels like a “don’t cry because its over, smile because it happened” song. In a way, taking what another comment said about Albedo not being in his cave, and switching it to our friends looking for us and us not being there anymore. We still have a long time before that happens tho, so let’s enjoy the ride while we can.

I still remember how I pull an all-nighter the first day this game was released. How happy I am to explore the world, hunting for chests, anemoculus, geoculus etc. How powerless I am, when I met a Ruin Guard, Ruin Hunter, The Lawachurls for the first time. Now, I have nothing to do since all have been cleared, like there's literally nothing I can't beat anymore. Nowadays, I mostly chilling in the pot, or thinking about the old times at the Dragonspine Peak, or giving some pointers to newbies, whether for the abyss or something. Long story short, 24k primos, I've lost 50/50 for the 4th time (I've never won any ffs), left with 3k the moment I've got Ayaka, but I've decided to go all-in this banner, so I've grinded Inazuma to get to weapon pity. Guess what? Mistsplitter came home.

This song makes me remember the early days of my Genshin adventures. I was a new player and was eager to explore the map. I stumbled across Dragonspine and by the broken bridge got my ass kicked by over-levelled treasure hoarders and the sheer cold was just the icing on top haha. I wanted to explore Dragonspine but couldn't. A few days later a random joined my co-op and asked if I needed any help. He was AR47. I asked him I wanted to explore Dragonspine and he helped me fight mobs and stuff. He was an Albedo main and we went to Albedo's cave and he told me all sorts of stuff. It was fun. I tried to check up on him a few days later but he was not online. A few weeks later it was the same. It's been months now and it has been the same ever since then.
Here too in our place. In my childhood I really wished to experience snow like I think it will be crazy happy and magical But now I grew up, Im happy that there is no snow in our country because snowing might feel lonely and dark for me, just realizing how snowing looks like
i still remember how terrified i was seeing the fatui agents for the first time and having to fight the lawachurl guarding the crimson tree. also the times where i was using amber, cuz i didn’t have any bow characters at the time, to get more fowls n my teammates (w high AR) changed to amber too n helped me gather more food. i’ve only been playing the game for about a month or so n it already feels like forever.
This game really helped me got through a toxic relationship breakup ngl, i was alone at college too with my senior friends mostly graduated or moved to other college cuz the one im at is the shittiest one and my other used-to-be-friends were my ex's friends so you'll know what goes on after the breakup, im the bad one im the problem, everything, so i shut myself in, ran out of animes to watch and then accidentally stumbled upon this game, maaaaan that was the best accident i made. When i first downloaded it, i was distracted from the heartbreaks and everything, i was staying up all night just going through the map exploring and enjoying the scenery. The story quests were amazing too. I love this game. Thank you Mihoyo, you helped me.

I still remember the day when I'm at Ar 16 and my high AR friends help me explore teyvat and unlock teleport and now i'm 54 Ar player. It just feel like i stared playing genshin impact yesterday. Yeah. Dragonspine's back story and lore doesn't get enough attention. Would love to see another quest on it that goes a bit into detail. At the same time tho, doesnt the mystery of it all make it kinda fun to theorize about?

coming back here after 2 years, although still playing , but 1.3 holds deep to me, when i first explored the massive world and lore. alas time flows like a river, and its been 2 great years. back then, liyue was not even around. not we have reach fontaine. how many of us made it this far? many came together, and many left. As we grew in the game, the lesser our friends. content now is much doable. missed climbing mountains just to seek that very last chest. pretty much its the same as life aint it, people come and go, we grow and change, memories made and memories left. i wish to play back the beginning story, when devalin were so terrifying. and venti is so carefree.
It's been so long, I began playing a few years back when it was just me and my sister. Then I stopped for about 2 years and she went to college. Now she's stopped playing, and when I finally came back to Genshin everything was so different- new places, new characters, new quests, new storyline, and most of all, I couldn't play with her anymore. Sometimes I wish I could just get back to those times, those times when there was only Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma and all I cared about was the story quests and characters. I miss those times

ignorance is a bliss. I played this game at one of my highest points, I was playing games without a care in the world, I had just stopped playing valorsnt to play more genshin impact. It was fun the game was fun, I was having fun. Then 1.3 years later, I quit. I would occasionally come back and maybe just check up on events now and then.. but I quit, I went back to valorant. My friends pulled be back in. The same time I quit, it was also the same time I got out of a toxic friendship.. but I was the toxic one, I was lying, rude, and just annoying. I was in the worst state in my life. So to try and make myself believe I was correct, and that I did nothing wrong. I went to valorant, I wanted to quit the game she was playing almost everyday. Now in the present day, I dont play any of those games, I ussually play minecraft now. And if I couls go back and fix how I treated everyone, I would. But I cant, but I can change. And I did, it's truly amazing. A person can go from narc to.. normal. The whole point of this is; if you're in a bad place, and your life is in shambles. Don't stay there, move, get out. Day 1 player here. I just wanna remind everyone, you don't gotta listen to the genshintubers. You don't "need" certain characters, you don't "need" to max out your crit rate/dmg. Those youtubers want to do things the easy way, which takes away all the fun from the game. Build the teams you like, use the artifacts you want. For example, I run Sayu, Tartaglia, Barbara and Diona and get by fine (C0 Tar). Most of the time I swap Tar out for Xiangling. My team isn't for the meta, it's for fun - for the challenge. In my opinion, that's how Genshin should be. If the journey is too easy, is it really a journey? Adventures have their ups and downs, but if you go for the meta, you get neither outside story. Go have fun. Go collect all those items you think are cool. Go do all the sidequests you think are interesting. Don't let some youtubers dictate how you play your game.
I wish I had all the nostalgia that everyone in this comment section has. :(. My love for this game has been ruined by my friend who stopped playing with me to play with other friends and ditched me. Her entire personality became that she played genshin and just ghosted me. Even with that bummer... I'm still glad the music can still help me be at peace... I just never wanna play the game again lol.

I don’t know who put this idea into my head, but this piece gives me an almost funeral march vibe, subtle and cold, yet still somewhat hopeful. When I listen to this, I imagine Childe happily coming home and eager to see his family, only to discover that one of his young siblings has died. I can see him getting dressed in front of a lonely vanity, surrounded in a luxurious life that never felt so empty until he had to live it without the voice of a child filling the space. And as the strings come in, I see the footprints of his boots in the snow as he carries a grand coffin away, where they’re placed in the ground. It’s cold outside, but he can’t really feel the chill. Oh God this made me tear up somehow as the time flew faster than we thought. I just reached AR 50 yesterday and looking back the good old days... there's some sort of a sad feeling to something that we are supposed to be happy for. I miss those days...
I’ve only been playing Genshin since April, so I may not be an og, but I still love the game nonetheless. I feel like it was much simpler at the start. Playing for fun and for story, having higher AR’s carry me, getting my first 5*, equipping artifacts because the colors matched the character. Windtrace and Golden Apple Archipelago. Now I’ve reached AR 55, I’m the one who carries others, artifact grinding and dmg is all the focus now, I’ve done every quest, I’ve done every story, my characters are level 90 and my regions have gone to 100% exploration. I’m left with nothing much to do or expect until a new major update.
This soundtrack reminds me of using Kaeya at Dragonspine in my coz I thought using cryo character will stop the sheer cold bar hahaha... Ahh yes those early days

I feel like this is a farewell to Mondstadt as a whole. The Traveler stopped Storm Terror, saved Albedo, and stopped the Abyss Order's invasion. After encountering Dain, and reuniting with the twin very briefly, there's a greater conflict at work here with more unanswered questions. They have to move one from the comfort of Mondstadt. The townspeople, adventures, and knights all go about their lives. All while the traveler and Paimon leave the town. These peaceful times don't last forever.

I'm still on AR 35, and my storage space is almost running out I might never be able to play Genshin again once they release the next update. I hope it can still work, but even if I don't play Genshin anymore I'm always gonna listen to this beautiful music 💗 I'll get reminded of everything I did on Genshin Impact even if i don't play it anymore Ok so update: After the last update, I can no longer play Genshin because my phone couldn't handle it anymore. BUT I was still able to play Genshin afterwards, because I borrowed someone else's device to play it :) Update 2 (why am I still updating this comment omg): I stopped playing Genshin, not because I couldn't play it anymore but because I'm losing interest. There's nothing interesting for me anymore in the game, because all I do is do commissions, claim my rewards, and that's it. As for the events and story quests, I've COMPLETELY lost interest. Sometimes I force myself to do Childe's story quest, just so that I can get rewards and so that I can be done with it. But honestly, I don't like doing it. The reason I'm desperate for rewards is that I was hoping I would get Xiao, because in my last roll I was hoping I'd get him since I had enough primogems. But no - I WASTED my primogems on a bunch of weapons. I did get character constellations too, but... it wasn't worth it because I don't even use those characters. So now... normally whenever I would see a new character released, I'd be excited and I'd try to roll for them. I'd even watch their demo's to see what they can do and what's their personality like. But... now I don't do that anymore, and I don't log into Genshin much anymore, so there's that. I'm not sure if I still WILL play Genshin, though, because it seems to me that I've lost interest and I won't be playing any longer. Also, sorry this comment is so long. Man, I miss playing Genshin Impact for the first time when I didn't know what the hell was going on. Trying to get to the top of Dragonspine just by climbing and almost dying because of the cold or too low stamina, hearing the melancholic, lonely sounding background music. I still don't know a lot of things but the childlike joy you'd get from exploring the world was something else. Dragonspine will always be my favourite area.

The nostalgia is astronomical, I remember I used to be so scared of ruin guards and hunters because I didn't know how to use Amber all that well, when Noelle carried my team, when I got excited whenever I got a new character (I still do) and when I got Lucky on my second day, what I mean by that is, I got my precious Benny-Boy who now I care about so much and one of my comfort characters. I remember not knowing much about artifacts and just putting the 2* artifacts just for arsthetics, I also remember dying a lot in Dragonspine. I remember hating abyss mages a lot and being proud of myself for beating them. Genshin has helped me through a lot, specially since now I have many comfort characters wich I Love with my entire soul. Thank you Mihoyo for creating Genshin Impact, I Will never forget this Game and the awesome community in It.

I feel like im watching snowflakes, building snowman, catching snowflakes on your tongue, just playing in the snow. I feel ay peace when i hear this song. Its a mix of sad, peaceful, and happy. I remember how daunting Dragonspine was when I realized it was an explorable area. My lv20 characters could barely hold their own against the lv30 treasure hoarders guarding the bridge, and once I’d made it to the other side, I laid eyes on the Fatui for the first time. Of course they wiped out my team in a matter of seconds, and I only dared to face them again once my characters were lv30. It took some time, but I’d eventually been able to break their shields and defeat them, now taking a few minutes to shelter in their deserted camp next to a fire I’d lit with my Amber’s 3 star bow. That’s when this song began to play. Before then I’d imagined Dragonspine as an unforgiving place with inconceivable dangers, but as I huddled there in the Fatui camp barely clinging to life, a sense of peace washed over me. For the first time, this game made me *feel* something, and in that moment I knew I wouldn’t stop playing after just a couple months. I’ll be hitting AR56 in about a week’s time. Every now and then I return to Dragonspine, climb to the top of the Skyfrost Nail, and reminisce. It’s always a nice surprise when this song starts playing because it brings me back to a time where I had something to fear in this game other than whether my artifact would roll into crit dmg, or whether I’d get a dream solvent from fighting Azhdaha. I know I’ll experience the same sense of wonder when I step foot in Sumeru for the first time, then Fontaine, but for now I’ll just continue asking myself this question… FOR FUCK’S SAKE WHAT KIND OF MONSTER PLAYS WITH THEIR MUSIC OFF ISTG
The person i played with and helped me when i was still in low ar, is still the person i played with today now that i got into AR55. We dun know each other's real name, or never asked where both of us came from. Didnt even know each others social media, but we always play together. The game became our friendship spot, and im thankful for it.

For a world I've never been to, and a childhood I don't remember, wandering forests and speaking with animals, or hanging out with kids like myself, getting dirty, playing in streams, coming home and eating dinner together, and going to sleep in my little loft bed, in a small house in the woods, on a mountain I call home.

I still remember how I pull an all-nighter the first day this game was released. How happy I am to explore the world, hunting for chests, anemoculus, geoculus etc. How powerless I am, when I met a Ruin Guard, Ruin Hunter, The Lawachurls for the first time. Now, I have nothing to do since all have been cleared, like there's literally nothing I can't beat anymore. Nowadays, I mostly chilling in the pot, or thinking about the old times at the Dragonspine Peak, or giving some pointers to newbies, whether for the abyss or something. Ahh, watching those newbies play make me feel nostalgic. The good old days...

This song makes me remember the early days of my Genshin adventures.
I was a new player and was eager to explore the map. I stumbled across Dragonspine and by the broken bridge got my ass kicked by over-levelled treasure hoarders and the sheer cold was just the icing on top haha. I wanted to explore Dragonspine but couldn't. A few days later a random joined my co-op and asked if I needed any help. He was AR47. I asked him I wanted to explore Dragonspine and he helped me fight mobs and stuff. He was an Albedo main and we went to Albedo's cave and he told me all sorts of stuff. It was fun. I tried to check up on him a few days later but he was not online. A few weeks later it was the same. It's been months now and it has been the same ever since then.

i still remember how terrified i was seeing the fatui agents for the first time and having to fight the lawachurl guarding the crimson tree. also the times where i was using amber, cuz i didn’t have any bow characters at the time, to get more fowls n my teammates (w high AR) changed to amber too n helped me gather more food. i’ve only been playing the game for about a month or so n it already feels like forever.
This game really helped me got through a toxic relationship breakup ngl, i was alone at college too with my senior friends mostly graduated or moved to other college cuz the one im at is the shittiest one and my other used-to-be-friends were my ex's friends so you'll know what goes on after the breakup, im the bad one im the problem, everything, so i shut myself in, ran out of animes to watch and then accidentally stumbled upon this game, maaaaan that was the best accident i made. When i first downloaded it, i was distracted from the heartbreaks and everything, i was staying up all night just going through the map exploring and enjoying the scenery. The story quests were amazing too. I love this game. Thank you Mihoyo, you helped me.

It's been so long, I began playing a few years back when it was just me and my sister. Then I stopped for about 2 years and she went to college. Now she's stopped playing, and when I finally came back to Genshin everything was so different- new places, new characters, new quests, new storyline, and most of all, I couldn't play with her anymore. Sometimes I wish I could just get back to those times, those times when there was only Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma and all I cared about was the story quests and characters. I miss those times

Wow it's been a while-
I played this game at one of my highest points, I was playing games without a care in the world, I had just stopped playing valorsnt to play more genshin impact. It was fun the game was fun, I was having fun. Then 1.3 years later, I quit. I would occasionally come back and maybe just check up on events now and then.. but I quit, I went back to valorant. My friends pulled be back in. The same time I quit, it was also the same time I got out of a toxic friendship.. but I was the toxic one, I was lying, rude, and just annoying. I was in the worst state in my life. So to try and make myself believe I was correct, and that I did nothing wrong. I went to valorant, I wanted to quit the game she was playing almost everyday. Now in the present day, I dont play any of those games, I ussually play minecraft now. And if I couls go back and fix how I treated everyone, I would. But I cant, but I can change. And I did, it's truly amazing. A person can go from narc to.. normal. The whole point of this is; if you're in a bad place, and your life is in shambles. Don't stay there, move, get out. Instead Try to do something about it.. I'm sorry jules.. I really am..
Imagine how genshin would be for the newbies once it's complete. They'll never understand the struggle we had as veterans... Genshin is making the gacha system a little more easier, so who knows what they'll do once they milk all it's worth and then release another game... sigh I would keep the cashflow coming in lol

Day 1 player here. I just wanna remind everyone, you don't gotta listen to the genshintubers. You don't "need" certain characters, you don't "need" to max out your crit rate/dmg. Those youtubers want to do things the easy way, which takes away all the fun from the game.
Build the teams you like, use the artifacts you want. For example, I run Sayu, Tartaglia, Barbara and Diona and get by fine (C0 Tar). Most of the time I swap Tar out for Xiangling. My team isn't for the meta, it's for fun - for the challenge. In my opinion, that's how Genshin should be.
If the journey is too easy, is it really a journey? Adventures have their ups and downs, but if you go for the meta, you get neither outside story.
Go have fun. Go collect all those items you think are cool. Go do all the sidequests you think are interesting. Don't let some youtubers dictate how you play your game.
I wish I had all the nostalgia that everyone in this comment section has. :(. My love for this game has been ruined by my friend who stopped playing with me to play with other friends and ditched me. Her entire personality became that she played genshin and just ghosted me.

I don’t know who put this idea into my head, but this piece gives me an almost funeral march vibe, subtle and cold, yet still somewhat hopeful. When I listen to this, I imagine Childe happily coming home and eager to see his family, only to discover that one of his young siblings has died. I can see him getting dressed in front of a lonely vanity, surrounded in a luxurious life that never felt so empty until he had to live it without the voice of a child filling the space. And as the strings come in, I see the footprints of his boots in the snow as he carries a grand coffin away, where they’re placed in the ground. It’s cold outside, but he can’t really feel the chill. Childe returns home, his other siblings on his arms, and all he will know for a long time is quiet.

I’ve only been playing Genshin since April, so I may not be an og, but I still love the game nonetheless. I feel like it was much simpler at the start. Playing for fun and for story, having higher AR’s carry me, getting my first 5*, equipping artifacts because the colors matched the character. Windtrace and Golden Apple Archipelago.
Now I’ve reached AR 55, I’m the one who carries others, artifact grinding and dmg is all the focus now, I’ve done every quest, I’ve done every story, my characters are level 90 and my regions have gone to 100% exploration. I’m left with nothing much to do or expect until a new major update.

this music always reminds me of my mom (she passed away just like 2 weeks after Dragonspine's release). Even up until now I always like to listen and play this on flute, and still brings me to tears
I feel like this is a farewell to Mondstadt as a whole. The Traveler stopped Storm Terror, saved Albedo, and stopped the Abyss Order's invasion. After encountering Dain, and reuniting with the twin very briefly, there's a greater conflict at work here with more unanswered questions. They have to move one from the comfort of Mondstadt.
The townspeople, adventures, and knights all go about their lives. All while the traveler and Paimon leave the town. These peaceful times don't last forever.

Update 2 (why am I still updating this comment omg): I stopped playing Genshin, not because I couldn't play it anymore but because I'm losing interest. There's nothing interesting for me anymore in the game, because all I do is do commissions, claim my rewards, and that's it. As for the events and story quests, I've COMPLETELY lost interest. Sometimes I force myself to do Childe's story quest, just so that I can get rewards and so that I can be done with it. But honestly, I don't like doing it. The reason I'm desperate for rewards is that I was hoping I would get Xiao, because in my last roll I was hoping I'd get him since I had enough primogems. But no - I WASTED my primogems on a bunch of weapons. I did get character constellations too, but... it wasn't worth it because I don't even use those characters.
So now... normally whenever I would see a new character released, I'd be excited and I'd try to roll for them. I'd even watch their demo's to see what they can do and what's their personality like. But... now I don't do that anymore, and I don't log into Genshin much anymore, so there's that. I'm not sure if I still WILL play Genshin, though, because it seems to me that I've lost interest and I won't be playing any longer. Also, sorry this comment is so long. I didn't mean to offend or trouble anyone.

Man, I miss playing Genshin Impact for the first time when I didn't know what the hell was going on. Trying to get to the top of Dragonspine just by climbing and almost dying because of the cold or too low stamina, hearing the melancholic, lonely sounding background music. I still don't know a lot of things but the childlike joy you'd get from exploring the world was something else. Dragonspine will always be my favourite area.

i may be late but, i remember i always stay up late to play genshin i remember trying to get the way points and after finishing some of the stuff i just go to sleep.
The nostalgia is astronomical, I remember I used to be so scared of ruin guards and hunters because I didn't know how to use Amber all that well, when Noelle carried my team, when I got excited whenever I got a new character (I still do) and when I got Lucky on my second day, what I mean by that is, I got my precious Benny-Boy who now I care about so much and one of my comfort characters. I remember not knowing much about artifacts and just putting the 2* artifacts just for arsthetics, I also remember dying a lot in Dragonspine. I remember hating abyss mages a lot and being proud of myself for beating them. Genshin has helped me through a lot, specially since now I have many comfort characters wich I Love with my entire soul. Thank you Mihoyo for creating Genshin Impact, I Will never forget this Game and the awesome community in It.

This makes me feel sad but in a good way. I feel like this song has a sad but happy tune to it. When i hear this i feel like im in a winter wonder land. I feel like im watching snowflakes, building snowman, catching snowflakes on your tongue, just playing in the snow. I feel ay peace when i hear this song. Its a mix of sad, peaceful, and happy. I feel like just watching snowfall and drinking hot coco.

I remember how daunting Dragonspine was when I realized it was an explorable area. My lv20 characters could barely hold their own against the lv30 treasure hoarders guarding the bridge, and once I’d made it to the other side, I laid eyes on the Fatui for the first time. Of course they wiped out my team in a matter of seconds, and I only dared to face them again once my characters were lv30. It took some time, but I’d eventually been able to break their shields and defeat them, now taking a few minutes to shelter in their deserted camp next to a fire I’d lit with my Amber’s 3 star bow.
That’s when this song began to play. Before then I’d imagined Dragonspine as an unforgiving place with inconceivable dangers, but as I huddled there in the Fatui camp barely clinging to life, a sense of peace washed over me. For the first time, this game made me *feel* something, and in that moment I knew I wouldn’t stop playing after just a couple months.
I’ll be hitting AR56 in about a week’s time. Every now and then I return to Dragonspine, climb to the top of the Skyfrost Nail, and reminisce. It’s always a nice surprise when this song starts playing because it brings me back to a time where I had something to fear in this game other than whether my artifact would roll into crit dmg, or whether I’d get a dream solvent from fighting Azhdaha. I know I’ll experience the same sense of wonder when I step foot in Sumeru for the first time, then Fontaine, but for now I’ll just continue asking myself this question…

We dun know each other's real name, or never asked where both of us came from. Didnt even know each others social media, but we always play together. The game became our friendship spot, and im thankful for it.

This song gives me an unexplainable nostalgia. For a world I've never been to, and a childhood I don't remember, wandering forests and speaking with animals, or hanging out with kids like myself, getting dirty, playing in streams, coming home and eating dinner together, and going to sleep in my little loft bed, in a small house in the woods, on a mountain I call home.
When the world was down in the flames for me. This game is just the light of hope I needed. Despite the game having some parts of it being controversial for the community. Wherever I go while I see this game. It feels like a warm home.

the comments are gonna make me cry cause inazuma came out but i still miss the time where we first explored liyue and monstadt the feeling everything,grabbing all the mints,sweet flowers,etc. *ahh the nostalgia hits me like a truck even tho the game is not finished* but even if its done ill not delete this game cause of the feelings and my blood sweat and wallet will be wasted and abandonment issues😭
