That smile slider could be a godsend for wedding photographers capturing the " happy couple " 😋😊

You're probably right that the Neural Filters aren't quite there yet, but maxing settings all the way out doesn't seem like the fairest way of evaluating them. I know practically nothing that looks good maxed out.

I remember when gradient layers did not work well and then there were nightmares in Lightroom One and Two. As an Adobe ACI and with 25 years of working with these programs, I've witnessed and worked with the gradual improvements and iterations. What we are seeing in these neural networks is perhaps Back to the Future. These may not make much sense today but future versions will be much more useful. Also, there is a competitive element as many plugins from folks like Topaz are often more advanced than some of our basic Adobe tools.

I'm using several of these now in 10/1/22 and many work much better - so if you are watching this video first check and see if Anthony has a new one because many of the effects have proven very effective for me. One being "colorize" - I'll have an image that is say too yellow, use the colorize and it makes the skin quite natural/neutral looking. Don't forget you can stack the same filter on the previous and it will add even more effect if necessary......

How can the blue box be moved? A blue line cuts through an ear on one face I'm attempting to refine! Mask placement doesn't seem to be of any help in this regard.

I agree. Some good functionality, some bad ... at this point.

IMO, right now this is like you said more a toy. But you can have a lot of fun with it even at this stage. I hope they continue to develop it which seems like they will if they have gone this far. If they can master some of these for more professional use it is going to add a lot to the toolbox.

You can add colors to the image yourself by tapping the color square below the image.

Might be useful to be able to apply to any image not just human portraits.

Have you tried duplicate layer with layer mask to allow adjustments with the neural filters?

Thank you for your tutorial Anthony. In the skin smoothing filter, is it possible to expand the "blue box" in such a way that the skin in areas below her face are also smoothen? Thank you.

On the black and white colorize you didn't click on the small photo to fill in color. Give it a try.

@@dalearseneault2714 Yeah, there's the ability to manually color stuff in colorize.

No way to adjust in colorize? Why not click on the thumbnail and choose a color from the little box below it to refine? Then repeat as needed? Seems like you skipped a massive ability to "fix" this.

I agree with you. They need more fine tuning. Those software engineers have some work to do. Thanks! I do like the skin smoothing, but without the neck and possibly shoulders being excluded, it doesn't make for a realistic edit. Appreciate you time. Have a great day!

I was excited for the fun I though I was going to have making some politicians wear drag queen make up.
    It didn't work.
As for the expressions, that thing is going to get abused like heck the moment it becomes a bit more convincing.
Just imagine what would have happened in 2016 if they managed to make a certain someone a little bit more sympathetic

Me again Anthony. Apologies; I have just realized that you mentioned the limitations of the blue box in the skin smoothing filter. Sorry.
