Wooyoung, especially, proving himself by addressing Atiny directly to not attack Seonghwa when it's happened a few times in the past. And San saying he'd protect Seonghwa on a variety show they did. Then when someone threatened to spray acid on Seonghwa at the water concert, you could see some of the others watching the crowd more than usual and looking back at Seonghwa every so often. Then you have the others constantly boosting his sense of self as much as they can in different ways. Even forcing Seonghwa to admit he's a visual in Ateez. Ugh. This man needs to be cherished and I'll never understand why Ateez still get hate to this day- but, especially Seonghwa when he's so sweet and wholesome. He's struggled enough and now he needs to keep growing and thriving. Beautiful man both inside and out.
That's what I've been thinking too like you know how some siblings can "fight" or tease each other a lot but when someone who is not family they all "gang" up on you and protect each other... That's how I feel about the members especially woosanhwa

Seonghwa has / had (possibly serious) self image issues, HOWEVER (as someone whos atiny since 5 years) i feel like he could overcome any burden, hes so much more confident every year and when i see clips like this it doesnt rly make me sad anymore, im just proud of seonghwa, hes strong and sensible and we shouldnt worry too much about him and instead admire how he always betters himself :>
I'm also a long-time atiny (celebrated 4 years last on Saturday!) and I'm so incredibly proud of Seonghwa. He grew so much as a person and it's really admirable

Sometimes attractive people are the ones that feel most insecure. There’s an expectation that you have to always appear perfect in front of others and if you’re not completely made up, you fear people will discover you are a fraud. I think that’s why Seonghwa felt so insecure & afraid people will see what he really looks like without makeup as a protective shield. I feel as they got older & more established, he gained more confidence to feel more secure within himself so he can present himself to the public with or without makeup and not worry about his appearance.

When he said that he hoped the fans that took his photo weren't too disappointed by his bare face, my heart broke 💔 This industry literally so fucked. I wonder what happened and what he had to endure for him to be so self conscious about his bare face... like, he's one of the most beautiful beings I've ever seen, with and without makeup, I'm almost tempted to say he's no human because he's so angelic, so for him to react that strongly with that much fear that fans would leave him because he was bare faced... someone must have messed him up horribly and for that, Dante will send them straight to hell! such a pure heart and soul, there's no way he could ever be anything but beautiful, no matter what he looks like!
This is just my own thought on it, but I don’t think it was any one thing or person who made him feel like this. He talked earlier in this live about how in HS, he thought of himself as the greatest, because he was in his dance group. But then when he became a trainee, it was a reality check for him that there were lots of other talented people too, so his self esteem dropped. He also talked about how his facial hair would grow so fast, he’d have to shave twice in a day, before music show recordings, and then again before the live show. I’m sure that was stressful for him, as facial hair isn’t seen as appropriate on an idol. Now he gets treatments for it (which lead to this whole conversation about being barefaced, he has a treatment that day and didn’t want to show the marks on camera). Mix in his eczema which was really bad back during those early eras as well, they had to cover the wounds on his neck with makeup, and you kind of have the perfect storm of stuff he felt insecure about during that time. Thankfully he feels a lot more comfortable now and even enough to tell us all this 🥺

I'm not an Atiny, but I have ALWAYS cared very deeply about the members of ATEEZ, as they are wonderfully talented, they are very good friends with, and simply important to, the group i do ult (SKZ)... And they are all around just amazing men. So, needless to say, THIS BROKE MY HEART hearing! Not only is he a VERY handsome man, dare i say even BEAUTIFUL, but the fact that he FELT so worthless without makeup made me SO MAD at this world, at this industry. Now, don't get me wrong, of course theres a hell of lot that makes me livid already. Like all this hatred, mistreatment, taking of life, and beliefs of innocent people not being deserving of life because someone in their ranks is evil. (Like there would be in every singled-out population of the would.) However WE NEED, as human beings, to be able to also be mad about the things that personally acfect us that no, aren't as "dire" as each incident doesn't affect countless people all at once. However that doesn't negate their importance, as every peoblem that risks or affects ones ability to live life in the way we ALL deserve to, still needs adressing. So... for any hater who may try to come in here with a bs and childish viewpoint of something along the lines of... "OMG, I can't believe yall are acting like this, there's real problems in the world right now!" Please grow up. The personal problems of others and those of people they care for ARE IMPORTANT. Just because someone has it worse does NOT MEAN that another persons problems cease to matter. Its impossible to help those who need it unless you yourself are in a place to do so, so its OK to put yourself first, because we MUST first help outselves so that we can be of any use to others. Therefore, YES, ones mental health is of the UTMOST importance. Specially someone like this young man, as he is someone whos presence in the industry ACTUALLY HELPS PEOPLE WHO NEED HELP. Moreover, its human to be heartbroken when you hear someone talk so honestly, we should ALWAYS take such words seriously give them the care they deserve, and promote this kind of open realness in kpop. So FEW groups in the industry do this and SO FEW groups are EVEN ALLOWED to show anything real about themselves, nebermind share troubles and insecurities. Seriously, SO FEW! I can think of little more than a handful of groups who do and are, with SKZ and Ateez being two of MAYBE 3 in the whole of 4th gen. So yes, SUPPORT this no matter your fandom, PROMOTE this kind of openness and vulnerability no matter your ults, and PROTECT the FACT that these ARE important topics. Ones that ARE in NEED of compassion, attention, and that we are the ones responsible or causing this kind of mental stress on Idols, therefore we NEED to do better which means we NEED to give it the attention it deserves. So if anyone wants to talk about innocent lives being hurt by cruel people, you don't have to look any further than the very groups so many so called "good people who care aboout innocent life" are ignoring and acting incredulous over when coming across posts like this. Anyways, I'm putting this out there in the hope that it will perhaps push someone thinking do claim such stupidity to develop a little common sense BRFORE leaving some comment that is absent of humanity. All whilst acting as if your its higgest supporter. They show their humanity, they show their true selves, and they put their insecurities and their "shortcomings" out there for us to see. Creo que el problema se generó no por los estándares de la industria sino por los comentarios de muchos fans en sus presentaciones o videos, de los cuales el 80 o 90 % solo están dirigidos a alabar su belleza y/o declararle su amor por lo hermoso y perfecto ( físicamente ) que es, endiosan su belleza , los menos son para alabar su desempeño en canto, baile y presencia escénica . Así que es probable que haya sentido que si no luce a la perfección los fans se iban a defraudar y abandonarlo. Por suerte lo ha superado o lo está superando, ahora muchas veces aparece sin maquillaje y hasta despeinado totalmente seguro de si mismo , sin duda es un hombre muy hermoso y atractivo. La belleza atrae pero es su personalidad y talento lo que atrapa.
It makes me Sad that a man (or woman) feels like they can’t even be shown without makeup. Come to think of it I don’t know if I have seen hwa without makeup on. Which honestly breaks my heart. However WE NEED, as human beings, to be able to also be mad about the things that personally acfect us that no, aren't as "dire" as each incident doesn't affect countless people all at once.
However that doesn't negate their importance, as every peoblem that risks or affects ones ability to live life in the way we ALL deserve to, still needs adressing.
So... for any hater who may try to come in here with a bs and childish viewpoint of something along the lines of... "OMG, I can't believe yall are acting like this, there's real problems in the world right now!" Please grow up.
The personal problems of others and those of people they care for ARE IMPORTANT. Just because someone has it worse does NOT MEAN that another persons problems cease to matter.
Its impossible to help those who need it unless you yourself are in a place to do so, so its OK to put yourself first, because we MUST first help outselves so that we can be of any use to others.
Therefore, YES, ones mental health is of the UTMOST importance. Specially someone like this young man, as he is someone whos presence in the industry ACTUALLY HELPS PEOPLE WHO NEED HELP.
Moreover, its human to be heartbroken when you hear someone talk so honestly, we should ALWAYS take such words seriously give them the care they deserve, and promote this kind of open realness in kpop.
So FEW groups in the industry do this and SO FEW groups are EVEN ALLOWED to show anything real about themselves, nebermind share troubles and insecurities.
Seriously, SO FEW! I can think of little more than a handful of groups who do and are, with SKZ and Ateez being two of MAYBE 3 in the whole of 4th gen.
So yes, SUPPORT this no matter your fandom, PROMOTE this kind of openness and vulnerability no matter your ults, and PROTECT the FACT that these ARE important topics.
Ones that ARE in NEED of compassion, attention, and that we are the ones responsible or causing this kind of mental stress on Idols, therefore we NEED to do better which means we NEED to give it the attention it deserves.
So if anyone wants to talk about innocent lives being hurt by cruel people, you don't have to look any further than the very groups so many so called "good people who care aboout innocent life" are ignoring and acting incredulous over when coming across posts like this.
Anyways, I'm putting this out there in the hope that it will perhaps push someone thinking do claim such stupidity to develop a little common sense BRFORE leaving some comment that is absent of humanity. All whilst acting as if your its higgest supporter.
Innocent life in innocent life, and THIS innocent life and his group has made it clear they want to help make the world a little better than it was before them. So if you want to do the same, then do something good that you actually have the ability to do.
WE can't stop a war, im sorry but history has proven that the people of a foreign country can ONLY make the suffering worse by hurting the innocence that is still living within the confins of the attacking country, wholst doing nothing to help those being harmed by their government... NOT THEM. Just putttinv that out there for anyone who doesnt already understand that.
Things are getting crazy everywhere, and kpop cant handle anymore crazy. So please, focus on what you CAN help change, you COULD help save lives, and THAT is what matters. We NEED to stop bullying these idols.
We CAN make being more authentic, in touch with mental health so one can understand when something IS a problem, and be an advocate for and how important it is to preserve the lives OF THESE INNOCENT PEOPLE too.
That way we can ensure they go on to fulfill their goals of doing good for the world. Because whether you want to admit it or not, and although this young man was himself wasnt likely EVER at risk of it himself doesn't change the facts.
THESE feelings can have DEADLY consequences, and we are LUCKY that he has a great group who supported and protected him. Many idols do not have that, they dont even have a label that cares if they are with us or not.
So long as they finish that last show on their schedule and they can squeeze their tragedy for attention, and that is the truth. That's why groups like ATEEZ and Stray Kids are SO IMPORTANT.
They show their humanity, they show their true selves, and they put their insecurities and their "shortcomings" out there for us to see. We need to repond in kind, and make a change in how these things are received and handled, so that maybe tomorrow there will be one less group who is expected to suffer in silence.
Also, mad props to Ateeze brotherhood and love for one another, and ATINY for their beautiful response to it. I just want to make sure that these words have already been said for anyone who may have a different mindset.
One that has perhaps been acfected by current happenings in the world, and unfortunately, as a repercussion, has underwent what seems to be herd mentality brainwashing of young, gullible, and inexperienced young people.
I have been seeing it on EVERY SINGLE POST that happens to have generated earnest heartfelt words from viewers. Only to be met with illogical nonsense from people who jumped on a burning bandwagon of misinformation and still haven't realized they are now on fire too.
These kinda of posts can actually do massive amounts of good, and they deserves all the support tbey can get. So I truly hope people can understand the cause and effects of their actions, and act accordingly. 🩵

Creo que el problema se generó no por los estándares de la industria sino por los comentarios de muchos fans en sus presentaciones o videos, de los cuales el 80 o 90 % solo están dirigidos a alabar su belleza y/o declararle su amor por lo hermoso y perfecto ( físicamente ) que es, endiosan su belleza , los menos son para alabar su desempeño en canto, baile y presencia escénica . Así que es probable que haya sentido que si no luce a la perfección los fans se iban a defraudar y abandonarlo. Por suerte lo ha superado o lo está superando, ahora muchas veces aparece sin maquillaje y hasta despeinado totalmente seguro de si mismo , sin duda es un hombre muy hermoso y atractivo. La belleza atrae pero es su personalidad y talento lo que atrapa.

Sad that a man (or woman) feels like they can’t even be shown without makeup. Come to think of it I don’t know if I have seen hwa without makeup on. Which honestly breaks my heart. No one should be that ashamed of their bare face so as to hide away unless it’s covered in makeup. Makes me feel really sad for him.
