FINALLY!! Got to say I've heard about the hype of this game and I've just bought it for Christmas, but you have explained how it works better and in a shorter time than anyone else. Thank you!!
I tested it in Essen at the fair... it´s great. We played the mission with the psychiatric hospital. I think, that is "The Marcy Case". But it wasn´t a spoiler. The man explained the game and we played it maybe 30 minutes... that was tenable. Really good, I love it now!
Thanks again for pointing me in this direction, Richard! Managed to get it at Essen. Though my absolute high light was getting a hug from Jen!! I hope you'll have fun with the meeples I made :) You guys are wonderful
Hey I think that the two player setup in the rules is pretty dumb too, when I played asylum with just me and my sister we each only played as one character and it worked great! I think there is no reason you can't play only two characters
Thanks Rahdo! If you are watching this, wanting to practice your English, then this game is great. Find a glossary for "Asylum" and some useful phrases at: www.teflgamer.com/t-i-m-e-stories/
+Trevor Olson TS has stronger storytelling, 7thC has stronger gameplay. TS is better co-op, 7thC is better solo. TS is cheaper, 7thC has more content :)
+rahdo I think you may be right! I will be there, chaotically stalking whichever booth they sell this at. After I've visited Jen's booth of course!! ;)
+Chantal Noordeloos Why is that I see your face on every game I'm backing on Kickstarter and on every Game video/forum related to a game I'm going to buy at Essen?
I don't understand the premise. If you're a group of time travelers able to hop back and forth between any moment in time, how can you "run out of time" and thereby lose the game?
+Goya Solidar the rulebook talks about that. basically it takes huge amounts of energy to keep the 'consciousness projection machine' (time machine) running to keep us in the past, and so it can only be run for so long before we get pulled back to the future. (MINOR SPOILER: and there's little story cards to read if we run out of time where our bosses chew us out and give us hints about how to do better)

Thumbs up for the Quantum Leap reference!:) I also want to say you have a great voice to listen to.

+Chantal Noordeloos they are awesome! jen LOVES them! :)
+rahdo so glad! Jen is so wonderful! We absolutely adore her! We love our little glass meeple!
I will probably end up getting this game for the box art alone. Love it!
Top man Rahdo for the, "pause the video and read it yourself". I wish all of youtube would do that.
Thanks for the overview! The game looks so immersive. I hope the game comes to the US soon.
Nice. This one has been on my radar.

Thanks for the vid...very helpful.
What kind of table is that? Love the drop, but isn't it too small for a Geekchic table?

So how replayable is this game?
+Istvan Fazakas i talked about exactly that in my final thoughts
Richard, because this is semi co-op would it play solo well?
+Joel Dalangin yes i would say so
+rahdo but a lot of the fun comes from players retelling stories to each other, so it'll still be solid, but a bit less fun :)
I was thinking this robot sounds like C-3P0. But this game is calling it C-P03.
Reading the card at 7:29 -- "with an quizzical smile". Argh, the grammar. >_>
Edit: and a double period on the card at 10:17!
The hyphens!!!! Oh Lord just return the word to the next line. No need for every other line to have a hyphen!
Rahdo, how would you compare this to 7th Continent?
+Trevor Olson TS has stronger storytelling, 7thC has stronger gameplay. TS is better co-op, 7thC is better solo. TS is cheaper, 7thC has more content :)
This looks awesome! I can't find it anywhere in this country. Not even on ebay :(
+Chantal Noordeloos i got an early copy. i think it's going full retail at Essen?

+SpiritReacher because we both have excellent taste in board games?
+SpiritReacher or --most likely-- because I have a serious addiction O.o
Mice and Mystics or Time stories, and why?
+Talbott Harrison i've run through both, and if you check my final thoughts on M&M vs TS, you'll see why it's TS all the way for us :)

+rahdo That makes sense, I suppose. Thanks and keep up the good work!
The only real problem I have is that there is no replayability and that you have to buy new cases to keep playing the game.
+Muhmaker i kind of disagree with that. i talked aobut it at length in the final thoughts :)
+rahdo I guess you're right. I've watched it all and now it's on my buy list for Essen. Great run through as always.
