I can tell you with certainty that it is from the mid40s as I have one that my sisters and I gave my mother for Christmas. We thought it was a candy dish so we filled it with coconut candy for her. Some years later we were told it was actually a canister for a nursery. Mom loved it. I am so glad you bought it.

I think that is Petey the dog. I don't see Felix at all. Not even old Felix, The frog looks like The Wind in the Willows. I bought the Josef night light - couldn't bring myself to sell it. too adorable. And I am not a fan of white stuff, but I loved those cannisters! I love how you show things to us that you aren't buying. I am trying to decide what my special holy grail is to have you look for for me.

Excellent trip, Michael! More interesting finds than the usual things we see. After looking through some children's books my Dad had, I'm going with dog. The features are very similar, and cats faces from that era seem to be very narrow. Thanks for a great vid! 🌻
I loved seeing the cocker spaniel stuffed toy. I have one that was mine as a child in a old toy box in the basement but was well loved and not in the great shape that one was.

The plastic canvas angel was only .99 cents. I found myself saying "come on pick it up and buy it". LOL I did a search on the stuffed Felix/Pete and elsewhere it was also listed as Felix the Cat.
Wouldn't the employee at the store catch the fact that the blue bird piece was marked stepping stone? Would they think you (or someone else) switched tags?
