Imagine a massive field, with a few houses, a little church, a local pub and a small gas station. That's basically every village in Ireland. There are houses, pubs, shops and more all on one street because Ireland has no zoning laws.
Sean wanting to reconnect with his heritage as well as show Evelien the absolutely gorgeous countryside of Ireland are two of the most heartfelt things he's wanted to do. I personally think taking Evelien on a road trip is just too cute! Much love to you, Evelien, and the fluffy king BB
that's really sweet, sounds really fun Sean, i'm pretty sure most of us would love to see that as a vlog but it is up to you but i'm sure i can speak for most of us but we would love to see this (i've never been, so could be interesting for me as well)
As someone whose dad is from Mallow, Co. Cork, I feel I have been seeing much more attention paid to Irish history lately. Specifically with regards to the impacts of the penal laws, the Famine, and how it all lead up to the war for independance in 1920. I have several friends of indigenous decent, one of whome is from the Choctaw rez that got an immense amount of aid from Irish nationals during covid. I have also seen a LOT of interest regarding Geailge(Irish language to those unfamiliar). So I am in full support of our favorite mad lad reconnecting with his roots. 😊
The popular locations like the Ring of Kerry, Kilarney, Slieve League, are all amazing. The best moments are in the small towns and the tiny taverns full of welcoming people, that treat you like a friend after a few minutes of conversation. If I had to pick an all time favorite site seeing location it would have to be Giant's Causeway to see a mind boggling natural wonder, and Carrick-a-Rede where I faced a massive fear of heights.
I just got back from Northern Ireland 2 days ago! It was so beautiful there. I was taking a college class studying the Troubles, NI history, peace process, and current tensions/successes. Perhaps take her to Giants Causeway
I'm loving these videos a lot, it's like a much more chill version of Reading Comments with Jacksepticeye, they show up on my feed whenever and it just feels fun lol
Wild that this just popped up for me. I’m visiting Ireland right now with my family. I’m personally from Chicago, and I’m puerto rican, which is a long ways away from Irish, but my wife’s great grandparents were from here. We’ve rented a car and are taking a full tour of the island, staying in different places and ending in Galway with a visit to Kerry. It’s seriously an incredible country. Sidenote, our 5-year-old son took full advantage of the buskers in Dublin with spontaneous breakdancing while half-drunk onlookers cheered him on, and it was glorious.
I can feel the same way as im cornish and after living in bridgewater for some years that did take a toll of my accident i could of had since i was younger but now that im back in Cornwall im trying to connect alot more with my celtic brittonic cornish heritage even trying to learn my native cornish language
My dad was Welsh/Egyptian and I was born in London and raised until 6yo there. My mum is Mexican/Navajo and moved me back to Arizona, U.S. But I've been back to England for a few summers - I have a few extended family that speak Gaelic. That is a difficult language. Beautiful language but difficult.
I'm American but my last name is Irish and I actually have a family crest as well and because of that I would love to go to Ireland because I feel a connection with my last name and having a crest. I don't know how irish I really am and it's probably not that significant but that's just how I feel. And I don't want to just go to a major city either. Someday hopefully

You and me both, lad. I grew up in Kilkee near the sea with an aunt and uncle, but I came to the states little more than 20 years ago. Last couple of years I had an epiphany about my gradual distancing from my roots, so I began consciously making it a point to "act more Irish" than I have in years XD True, even the accent dwindles. You get adapted to the speech mannerisms of the locale you're in, and American-style English was definitely a gap I had to close just so my classmates and teachers could understand me Lol
