If you rotate the word D it could look like a sunset but rotate it the other way & it looks like a smile, D clan members are known for smiling before death. Time to subscribe.
I really got the impression that this new "Giant Sun God" was just roleplaying being a sun god, given the title "RPG"
Sun God = the one who controls the lights in the diorama? Road the Giant is by guess.
Nah, it was referencing Luffy hitting the mirror like a rocket propelled grenade.
umm the characters who worship the fake sun god in 1127 and 1128 are not Elbafians... they aren't giants
ok racist, there immigrants! pff im joking but im still correct.
Wtf @@Sunaki1000
@@Ryquard1 I mean you can be an elbafian and not a gigant? As you can be a german who originated from turkey.
@@Sunaki1000 i was wtfing due to caling someone racist, it had heavy milenial karen energy
@@Ryquard1 Despite me pointing out how I am overexagerating things for fun, you still saw it as necressary to get angry over it. Maybe you got some stuff to work trought.
I think the D being a symbol representing something relating to the sun is most likely because, unless I’m misremembering, no one in the series asks “what does the D STAND FOR” they always ask “what is the MEANING of the D” like they know it doesn’t represent a word necessarily
Or its just a way of Oda to keep both options open... But I agree that we dont know yet.
Also, I think when whitebeard and Roger talked about the D, Whitebeard asked "Whats is D. ?" - also leaving both options open.
Chopper is a D by association. Two main things, 1 the D clan seems to pass down the D from parent to child, 2 the story of one piece is big on found family. Meaning Dr. Hiraluk, or kuraha, would need to be a D clan member for this to work. I'm leaning towards Hiraluk because all he wanted to do was cure his sick nation, or rather save his captive people. I think that revelation would be fun, I don't know how necessary it would be, but fun none the less.
Sun Gods seem to be usually primary in most religions. There are fewer religions with the sun god secondary or even a object pulled across the sky.
That was a good D clan theory. Although the storyline has been interesting and complex remember the show started off about pirates. Speaking of, D rotated does look like a DAWN..
My guess;
Stansen the Giant drugged the crew and likely untied the Sunny, Road the Giant is the one in the Moose Skull, I don't think Hajrudin knows his New Giant Pirates took his "God" Usopp from Dressrosa.
Great theory! You earned my subscription!
@JoyGirl
Look up RA's solar barque journey in Egypt. There are 3 recognized sun deities in Egypt from that story, most notably Khepri listed below:
RA is of course the primary sun god (Nika?);
Atum takes over for RA as the god of sunset/dusk. And when he becomes old (Joy Boy?);
Khepri "the young sun god" serves as the final sun god that takes over for Atum who is the bringer of the Dawn/Sunrise (Luffy?).
Khepri also has the head of a scarab beetle
Luffy is obsessed with anything related to beetles in the One Piece manga.
Your ideas are amazing! Because of this, im now leaning towards the belief that the different iterations of the sun god such as in the places you mentioned is because the sun god does not only encapsulate Nika but also every one of his crew. I think it is also reasonable to assume that these allied nations became allies not because they originally believed in the sun god but because they were given reasons to do so. So, how the sun god is revered in these places is largely dependent on who and how they were helped (by Nika's crew).
In today's elbaf, I believe that Usopp may become another version of the sun god in reference to Lugh (who is also known to be a trickster, a man of many arms, and an owner of a sling!!)
As for the "D". It could be based on runes, specifically that of Thurisaz ᚦ (giant or thorn) and/or Wynn Ƿ (joy) given that joyboy and nika could be closely related to elbaf. :DD
Luffy in gear 5 is all white wearing horns. I think its a double meaning. The Knights of the Round Table
In Arthurian legend, the white stag's appearance signals that the Knights of the Round Table should begin a quest.
Csodaszarvas
In Hungarian mythology, the White Stag is a central figure in the origins of the Hungarian people.
The white stag is often seen as a messenger from the otherworld, and its appearance is considered a sign from the beyond. It can be a symbol of purity, and its unusual white coat can represent unwavering innocence. However, killing a white stag is often considered to bring terrible luck.
Bro this is absolute fire 🔥🔥🔥
Speaking of myths Loki has a brother called Helblindi whose name is used as another name for Odin so I think Oda has made his version of Loki & Odin literal brothers.
In a certain section of translated Norse myths, Odin and alone slice their hands and clasp them together, literally mixing their blood. Where they were unrelated before, this symbolizes the creation of common kinship, like the sake ritual with ASL.
Celtic KEL TIK
the other Sun God could also be a reference to the Future Devil from Chainsaw Man and therefore is an adept observation Haki user.
i really do hope that Oda is able to continue his Opus Magnum for quite some years. I´m pretty sure not the only one who can´t think of a world without One Piece continuing. After all these approximatly 25 years of Anime-watching and RUclips-based One Piece channels i just can´t start any other major Shonen-Series that long and intense - whicht might just be because One Piece is still ongoing.
but i´m a bit worried about all those content creators - like JoyGirl here - who´re so enthusiastic and invested and who´re theorizing for so many years now. what will they do if the inevitable happens and One Piece finally ends some day in the future?
the world will become much more boring and less interesting without new One Piece content - and especially without all the new One Piece-Theories. this will be dark tiimes indeed.
D is for Dao
An easy portgaz ace connection is his fire fruit and literally creating a sun while fighting BB
Random theory for fun: part of the war had to do with those who believed the planet was the center of the universe vs the Sun being the center. The WG symbol represents the belief that the Sun and everything moves around the planet, the rulers of all, and the belief that royalty and Celestial Dragons are chosen, special, put in place and born to rule through divine direction.
The advanced civilization countered and rebutted the claim, using science to obtain proof that it's false. The other Kingdoms joined the war specifically to retain power and hide knowledge because the more people who know what they claim is not true. Proving the whole dignity claim wrong, exposes them as liars who aren't special and chosen to rule. They made it up.
The less people acknowledge that the Sun is the center and their claims the less power the Sun god gets from their supporters/worshipers who believe in them.
Wiping out the planet's population with the flood was a means to weaken Nika's power during the war by wiping out worshipers. It took 800 years for population to grow enough with believers in Nika and be strong enough for the devil fruit to spawn once again and find someone to host the deity's spirit.
So folks have theorized the D being a half moon, the sun rise but I don’t know if I’ve seen anyone suggest an eclipse to symbolize an alliance between the sun and moon gods/tribes
The Clan of D; as far as I can see it, for now atleast, it would seem- are the people amongst the colonised who fought for resistance
In Journey to the west Son Wukong was of course the monkey king (of the pirates) and he was stopped by the Buddha. Characters in Imu's name can be read as buddha.
I am thinking that the Sun God religion is a big connection for all of Luffy’s allies and the countries they hail from. But there is such a thing as false gods and failed heroes, illustrated with Kaido most clearly but there’s a myriad of other examples. I wonder if the true Sun God of Elbaf has a pet wolf, maybe two, named Skul or Hati. These were the two wolves chasing the sun and the moon, to keep them moving in the day/night cycle, when Odin and his brothers created the universe.
I believe it is pronounced K-eltic as opposed to S-eltic. The latter is how the Scottish football team pronounce their name
I have heard both, but I use the hard “k” sound for Celtic, personal preference.
I am planning to a break from One Piece for a month or two. I want to read the current narrative as a whole, during the new year.
The only thing stopping me is the fact that I won't be able to watch JoyGirl.
Im calling it that Imu is a twin of one of the past Joyboy or even Nika himself. Twins play a big role in creation myths for the Aztecs, Myan, Inca etc wich the Skypian culture is based on and was the first mention of "Nika" and was supposed to be the original build up to the end of the story. Luffy and his brotherhood with Ace and Sabo adds to it for me aswell because he didnt have a natural twin but he found two people of approximately the same age to make his brothers. The sacrifice of one of the twins or the resurrection of their father plays into theurh quite often so we have Ace as the sacrifice, Sabo following Dragon into the underworld, and Luffy trying to resurrect Rogers dream. It all very measy, but so is the D family.
D been the sunrise is so good, imu is the darkness and the D will take him out just like the morning sun
All those people that skipped skypeia thinking it's filler arc now kicking them self's the skypeia arc is one of the most important arcs of the manga
im starting to think sun monkey king might be related to sun god nikkia theorys he gotta be connected to one of them
We may get a Son God Ra & Son God Horus situation.
I'm not sure if they're even on Elbaf. Doesn't the fake sun god remind you of one of the holy knights from god valley? Something's weird here.
Surprised you didn't compare Imu to Mut, the primordial sea god or mother god most of the time depicted with a double or large crown. Also Nefetari translating to beloved by Mut.
I Think That Giant Sun God Could Be Reffering To The Story of
Utgar D Loki and Thor...
Utgar D Loki... You cooked with that one, that's good
Fosho Fosho ❤
Look i know thos wont happen buuuut look with nami saying what if they were turned into giants i think they were shrunk down and the sun god is a human size person.
Sooooooo someone with the shrink power connected to giants.
Please let this be lily from the film Z filler episodes yeah shes not canon but pfa can make her canon.
Also im seriously freaking out zoro ran a straight path and didnt get lost
Oddly enough the Fishmen don't have a sun god but do worship the sun itself. Maybe because Joyboys broken promise??? IDK
the model village of Elbaf could be the manifestation of two possible Devil Fruits the first being titled the Yugi-Yugi no mi the game game fruit given the chapters title of RPG or the Pure-Pure no mi the play-play fruit or given the attire of the Sun God and how they remind me of the anime exclusive character Bluye they could be the manga canon version with a shrinking Devil Fruit.
00:00 - 00:06 without context got crazy . Now I can't unhear it . I am sorry . 😅😅😅
The people in Stein Castle are not giants....
Otherwise good video :)
Is this Sun God just the giant Road?
Seltic mythos??
I personally dont see Luffy as a sun God. I see him as Prometheus. Also a god bringing the Eternal Flame of the Gods and placing in the hands of man.
Luffy x Nami at the end GGWP :)
what is oda doing to her ??????????????????
Alright JoyGirl. I’ll give you another shot. Let’s see if this theory stimulates me or if it’s another let down. Sorry.
You're right about 13:53 but contradicting yourself from 13:16
Irish aren't a NBA team... They're Celtic. not seltic!
What a pedantic thing to say.
What an intro
15:25
Or a big D shaped smile :D
You know, almost every ship floating on a body of water in One Piece series have a round bottom hull, which also shapes like the letter D.
@@PTzhrzlfzyyn damn dude youre so right
i was getting at oda goes out of his way to give D clan members D shaped smiles, forgot which video i learned that from though.
I think celtic is pronounced keltic, not seltic
3:12 or sun god is a title to the person who seemingly has the most freedom, because the giants were calling luffy sun god too.
because he literally is Nika
@@Afroskelett doesn’t mean it can’t also be a title used in giant culture
@@BilliamJoyBoy they called him Sun God because they said he looks like Nika
Releasing a video at 6am? Must be Australian. 😮
I’m a JG nerd
Also I belife you put to much importance into this titles, and miss the bigger picture. I belife this isnt part of whider elbafian culture, or religion, but just one gigant messing around whit the mortals, role playing.
That said another thing to add. The Pharaoness you mentioned was actually named Nefertiti, not Nefertari. titi, as in the two things what makes man docile if you show them to them.
I'm dissapointed of Oda by not making this Fake Sun God of Elbaf scream and spams "NI" upon entering its temple as its own introduction.
1sst!!
