Love the finished project mate, I really like the fact you made eve with simplicity and efficiency yet still being mindful of the visual, really nice work.
The first half of the ruclips.net/user/postUgkx3ICSK6nSknaL_45CU2NmFSoXjarGMDiJ book is everything about wood: types, tools, finishes, setting up shop etc. The second half is all about doing projects for inside and outside of the home. The color pictures are helpful. After reading a dozen of these types of books, this is probably the best overall (layout, color photos, plans). Only detraction is that many of the projects use a table saw/router/planer, which are usually expensive and take up space, so the plans are less friendly to newcomers and the budget conscious. But I know I can use a drill, circular saw or a jigsaw to make the projects.
I thought this was going to be another Norm's Router Table but it's much more. Great job! One suggestion, consider getting a router lift and dedicated motor like a PC 7518. It will much easier and faster to change bits and save your back.
Wow! Now, that's what I'm talking about!!! That is not a router table, that's a piece of beautiful furniture. I purchased a router table second hand. The man I purchased it from made it and used the exact same design as yours. And it weighed a ton when I helped him, carry it across his lawn. Man, you really do beautiful work. This has to be the nicest piece of shop furniture I have ever seen. And believe me, I've seen almost everyone on RUclips because I have been bedridden for the past 2 months and watched all the woodworking videos I could. When I get back out to my shop, I'm going to add the oak trim you have on yours. That was the only difference between your's and mine and the trim just takes it to a different level. I've subbed so I don't miss your videos. Take care!
That is a well-designed, very practical router table, Mr Vereschak I've studied a lot of router table designs on the web, and I like yours so well that I'm going to use it with very few changes to build my own here in Japan. One change I will make is to mount a Jessem Pow-R-Tek remote switch on the outside right-front corner of the cabinet. The design of the switch makes it very convenient to add and to use. By running the router power cord behind the top righthand drawer and through a hole in the side of the cabinet it will be possible to connect the router to the switch, which will also start a small dust collector at the same time the router is turned on. Your design for a wooden cleat to store the main power cord out of the way when the router table is not in use is a very good, very practical idea. It is the best solution I have seen for that problem.
I think your work is exemplary. I especially enjoy the vital attention you give to precise measuring and processing of the elements of your projects. My grandfather always told me that a half-assed job is no job at all.

That router table look very very close to New Yankee Work Shop Norm Abram's version from years ago. I know because I actually built one with a few mods, myself. They are solid and extremely useful. I installed dual locking casters so when I lock them, it is rock solid and does move anywhere. Thumbs Up!
It's beautiful to look at and I'd guess it's quite functional, which is after all, the objective of building. I'll save my critique and just say, I'd have made a great many different choices. Two questions for you: 1) how long did you spend making this?, and 2) why no joinery? Your first example off the table had a mortise in it. Why no rabbets, dadoes, dovetails, mortise & Tenon, etc.?

I can give you an answer since I’ve already done my router table top with epoxy too. Since 2017, it hasn’t moved. Of course it has a lot of small scratch but nothing to be worried about. Probably that the wax and parrafin I apply for a better slide do help too. cheers

THAT is one FINE example of a man who is at the top of his game. EXCELLENT work and such attention to detail. Inlaying the aluminium channels for the fences fantastic. I have a few questions though please if I may. How long do you think it took you to build and at what kind of cost. Also there is one problem I see that I'm sure you have thought of, and engineered for, but I can't see the solution. The main fence will, at some point, go out of true. I can never understand talented makers who make a beautiful piece of art with the woodworking and then ruin it with unsafe and bodged together wiring. It would have made more sense to not put the switch on the side in a separate box and that would safely let you use the drawer. The problem with push on connector is they also pull off if you have the in a drawer like that. When thinking of wiring, ALWAYS think “How can this go wrong?”. So yeah, love the table, hate the wiring.
I once nailed myself to the ceiling. Had run out of nails so I took some that were too long so I could finish and go home. Stuck between two pieces of wood with one finger pierced. It was before cell phones and I was alone, so I ended up pulling until the nail bent. Ouch... 8:04 By the way, exciting place to have the hand. : - /
Отличный стол, с душой! Только вот вопрос с электрикой - там проводки простой изолентой смотаны? С нее клей потечет со временем, лучше тряпошную изоленту использовать.

A router installation capable of being raised/lowered from above. The router table project itself is magnificent and solidly built. I bet it could survive a nuclear explosion. God knows what it all cost though!
Delightful video. Be careful to keep your fingers away from a joint when using an air nailer, because the nails can turn in the wood and come out the side. If your fingers are too close the nails can hurt your fingers when they come out!

Thanks)
Well done!! Nice trick too with the metric insert height finetuning for the top plate becoming flush with the table. Future improvement might be bit height adjustment from the topside, or strong magnets instead of screws holding the removeable plates
