Venti has connections to a lot of things. In his second quest we can learn more about Istaroth, Hexenzirkel, Mare Jivari, old mondstadt, Dragonspine, Varka, Four winds (mainly Vanessa), Celestia.
There's a lot he's connected to that could pop up in future quests. Honestly hope there's a quest line in the future that just explores Old Mondstadt and the Four Winds. I feel like Varka and Alice hold a lot of information as well. Hopefully we see it explored more soon, especially since there's supposed to be more Mondstadt content coming soon
I swear, the foreshadowing and set up they're doing for Venti has me expecting a perspective-changing twist from his part 2. Whether we learn more about how he became an Archon or what's happening in Celestia, I'm excited either way... Even if it's potentially a long ways off
Honestly I viewed Venti's first story quest as more of a means of getting to know him rather than lore about the Mare Jivari. While we do get to learn a bit about the Mare Jivari through this quest, we *also* learn about how Stanley's story is a parallel to Venti's own, and are introduced to the history of Old Mond as well as the nameless bard. I'd love to see more lore about that area in his story quest, but something tells me it's going to be held off as a special area (kind of like Dragonspine or Vanarana) that has its own event surrounding it. Since Venti is known to have been a wind spirit prior to him becoming an Archon, I believe his second story quest will divulge into more lore about Old Mondstadt *or* what the world was like prior to the Archon's introductions. Maybe there will be an area underneath Stormterror's Lair that becomes explorable with the release of Port Dorman that reveals what the relations between the humans and elemental beings were like (i.e. Seelie and Wind Spirits). A leyline disorder bringing back a "memory form" of Decarabian would be a badass weekly boss as well imo, and would be fitting for the potential story. I also think this would be a likely opportunity for Hoyo to expand on the relation between Venti and the Primordial Shades, specifically Istaroth. There has been a lot of speculation about it after all, and we may also have other information at that point that makes it even more relevant. One other thing I do hope the story quest covers is his feelings on being an Archon. It seems like he has some negative feelings surrounding Celestia, and his ascension seems to have been by process of elimination rather than him actively seeking it out. What sacrifices has he made for his people? (Sorry for how long this is lmao I'm passionate about this part of the lore)
Oh don't get me wrong, his part 1 definitely explores a lot about his character and how he handles certain situations. I was simply speculating based on the other Archons since it tends to focus more on the world in their respective Act 2 quests. I really like your suggestion about learning more about the primordial shades and Old Mondstadt, as well as his perspective on being an Archon as he is currently the most nuanced of the Archons we've seen so far. Especially with the manga in mind, so much about his actions suggest that he's chosen to separate himself from Celestia due to a difference in perspective over how Archons and Gods should rule. Venti has also been known to go into a deep slumber whenever there's nothing much happening which makes my curious as to why he's sticking around. Perhaps we get the answer to this in his Act 2? Or elaborating more on how Archons gain there power, ascension to Celestia, the role that vision bearers and allogenes play... It really feels like Venti is that card that Hoyo is waiting to play until we get enough context to make sense of it all, kind of like Nahida not telling the Traveler the truth of what was happening in Act 2 of Sumeru's Archon quest.
@@coma70se Definitely with you on the manga part! I have a few "semi-crack" theories surrounding Venti at this point, one of which being that Celestia's definition/concept of freedom is *very* different from his (like you mentioned), and that he chooses to remain the Archon as a form of sacrifice to ensure that his people aren't subjected to that same standard. Perhaps it's why he sleeps so often (other than to stave off the effects of erosion): he wants to limit the amount of control Celestia has over him, and they can't do too much if he's asleep. As far as we know atm, Venti only woke up during the Cataclysm after getting a calls for help from the people of Mondstadt/Dvalin (can't remember which one exactly). As for why he's sticking around, who knows honestly. Something tells me though that he knows much more than he's letting on, and recognizes that the Traveler's appearance on Teyvat likely means that something major will happen in the near future. If that is the case, there's no use going back to sleep if he's likely going to be needed by the Traveler at some point. Actually I think the only reason he woke up this time was because Dvalin woke up and was in pain/calling for him, leading to Venti awakening (likely not long before the Traveler begins their journey; I'm giving it literally like a couple hours before lmao). So yeah we'll just have to wait and see ig. Regardless, I love discussing his character and theories surrounding him so this has been a nice chat lmao.
@@TotallyADuck420 Venti really does feel like a true enigma in the game and I always find conversations about him interesting. Your analysis of his role in the story's also quite exceptional. It really makes me excited for the future, even down to the coming patch's poetry event
I think since venti is one of 2 original archons but knows a lot more than he leads on, we will probably get his 2nd story when a huge plot twist comes along in Genshin. It will hopefully reveal the truth about celestia, his relationships with the archons (Specifically Zhongli and EI), why he slept for 500 years after the archon war and maybe his relation to khaenri'ah. Almost everyone is suspicious about him and asks if he is trustworthy or a good archon- honestly if he has been lying its for a reason that only he would know considering he knows the past, present and future. I hope we finally get to see why he was given the title of “weakest archon” because he was definitely if anything the second strongest which is also why another possibility is that the other archons feared him. Istorath and the contract he made with Zhongli are two other things I desperately hope comes to light but because he holds all the answers and hasn’t had his story quest- when it does come around it won’t be a good time for him because of past events like being the first target for the Abyss and the Fatui regarding the Gnosis’s which then leads to a whole other grey area regarding his connections to khaenri'ah etc. etc. I personally have always loved him from day one of his appearance but nonetheless there are things I even question but not out of dislike but more so concern. Out of all the archons- he is the only trustworthy one because he has made in known that he cares and protects the traveler when the others have done multiple questionable things. Even when he lies he makes sure we never leave empty handed. And the last big thing I would want to see is all the things he did for not only Mondstadt but Tevat because he didn’t get that statue with special markings for nothing. it all started with Mondstadt…in the end it will be Mondstadt. He will probably be the piece that completes this confusing puzzle
@@Lemon-k4h then go back to Sage (the little kid outside of Mondstat) and report our findings. Jokes aside, I'd love it if the dandelion sea became an explorable area, but for some reason I feel like if it were to become playable it'd only be during an event
i think theyre reserving his story quest part 2, afterall venti is the only one connected to istaroth god of time and thousand winds, which is very connected, venti is one the thread of the thousand winds he said in story quest might be he is istaroth son whatever you would like to call, we might have this went istaroth finally officialy debuted or more part of mondstadt.
I definitely would love to learn more about Istaroth and the Thousand Winds, since it seems so important to Teyvat as a whole. I don't know about Venti being her son, but it wouldn't surprise me given his origins before becoming an Archon. Istaroth appearing in the story would also be interesting on a wider scale beyond Mondstadt, so I'd love to see her show up in the story soon
I’m kind of thinking that a second character story for Venti will probably be released sometime during the Snezhnaya archon quest line. Considering that Venti and the Tsaritsa have a history, I highly suspect that Venti’s role in the cataclysm (especially in how it relates to the Cryo Archon) may be central to that story.
It's quite possible, it's also possible that that during the quest line we also learn what contract she made with Zhongli as that also indicates some deep connection or event that's central to what's going on.
It may be minor but all archon part 2 quests have introduced a new weekly boss. I feel like we may not have a Venti part 2 yet because the devs may me waiting for a good timr to release a new weekly. Since, honestly, it would be kinda... No hype, if Venti's story quest didn't have an epic boss at the end 😂 But jokes aside i do agree with your points about the venti story quest. I think you got it spot on in terms of what it could be about!
I feel like Mare Javari stuff would be reserved for archon quest, much like The Chasm. I think Venti part 2 will be in the Mondstadt expansion (Dornman Port?) Also for the “messed up area of each nation” Mondstadt is Dragonspine, Liyue is The Chasm, but I believe Inazuma is Enkanomiya. I don’t believe we have gotten Sumeru’s or Fontaine’s yet. The Girdle of the Sands area in Sumeru wasn’t different enough compared to the rest of the nation to give it that title. And the research institute is part of the main story so it’s definitely not a separate area. I believe Fontaine’s may be a deep underwater Chasm like area possibly related to the lost nation that I forget the name of. (It starts with an R I think)
If it's a physical place we can explore in the future it'd be interesting to see what Remuria's about. Most likely the Remurian King's actions might've played a role in Fontaine's current state, though I'd like to believe his role was a lot closer to Deshret in terms of how things fit in.
or it could be as simple as because there is already 2 weekly bosses in Mondstadt hehe. The 2nd story quests of all other archons introduce the 2nd weekly boss on their respective region.
Somehow I really wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. Though there's a new region of Mondstadt coming in the future so... New Venti boss there mayhaps?
