Bobby stood back and let Sunwoo and Hwiyoung shine. He could have easily taken the spotlight but chose to let these two young rappers stand out. Now the whole world knows that SF9 and TBZ have amazing and talented rappers. Bobby didn't need any validation. Not from rookies who didn't know a thing about survival shows. Bobby chose to be a mentor instead of being a contestant. He knows that he is the standard and it would take a whole lot of so-called "experts" to bring him down. All props and respect to you Bobby.
@@chariza13 Prior to the performance, Sunwoo said he never got the chance to show his true color as a rapper because his group's concept is more of a youthful vibe. Bobby gave him the chance to show who he really is as a rapper. In all honesty, I saw Mino and Bobby's style when he was rapping. I hope he gets to create his own music someday.

I think the culture of KPOP and hip-hop are just inherently different. I agree on a rap show, this song would've won or, at least, would have had a much much bigger chance to win (it eventually charted better than Mayfly, too, didn't it?) but on Kingdom, Mayfly happened to have a bigger chance to win. When someone is winning, another is losing, there's no way around it. Like, during their sprint relay, Chan suddenly ended up winning the 2nd place. Perhaps, it's because Chan somehow got lucky. Perhaps, he got to run faster the very last seconds. Perhaps, it's because Sangyeon slipped. Perhaps, if Sangyeon had not slipped, The Boyz could have won the 2nd place. Perhaps, even if Sangyeon had not slipped, SKZ still had won the 2nd place. We will never know for sure... Well, I did wish professional rappers had been there to judge the rap performances specifically, but the fact that those who came to become judges that day ended up preferring Mayfly's performance, it's just a part of luck.

This type of lazy chill rap is what bobby does best. He doesn't always have to put on the hard hitting angry rap or wear expensive costume and bling, not even elaborate stage design and props to show swag. The swaggiest i've seen is him rapping sitting on the floor.
I love how Bobby looks like their older brother who looks proud and smile during their whole performance. He let the juniors shine and just enjoy the stage. He got the stage presence no matter what he do.

I was rooting for SKZ on Kingdom but this unit should have won over Mayfly just based on their rap execution alone. The title wordplay, the catchy hook and the flow of all three rappers were on point. Sunwoo’s energy here is unbeatable and you can tell that he’s so happy to be performing with Bobby. He took Bobby’s advice to go crazy, have fun and played with the camera at 2:19. Sunwoo as a fan to calling Bobby hyung was so endearing to see because he so looks up to him as a rapper. “3 stars, astronomical” is a fucking great punchline. Such a shame they didn’t win.

상대편 무대에서 저쪽은 쇼미 느낌이고 자기쪽은 킹덤 무대 같은 느낌이라고 했는데 쇼미 같은 느낌이여야 되는거 아닌가..... 유닛을 랩 댄스 보컬로 나눴으면 적어도 랩 포지션에선 랩 무대여야 되지 않나라는 생각이 듦 상대편 무대가 못 했다는건 아닌데 솔직히 심사위원 중에 랩 관련된 사람이 한명도 없었고 저쪽은 무대 소품을 많이 쓴 느낌이지만 여기는 진짜 즐기면서 하는 랩 같은 분위기여서 랩 포지션 무대인 만큼은 이 무대가 랩이라는 정체성을 잘 살린 것 같음

I'm YG stan and we all know what Bobby is capable of and I'm a bit disappointed he didn't really go OFF (If you know, you know) but YOOO let's talk about Sunwoo and Hwiyoung they are very impressive rappers.. their tones, verses and flow are great my head automatically started bobbing.. I feel like I discovered hidden gems because you never see them in any (top idol rappers) lists.. Bobby is already established and been through a lot of survival shows he doesn't thirst for a win that much anymore. Sunwoo's he's been in this for too long and I think he forgot to just enjoy which I'm glad he did this time. Hwiyoung, I understand why he's so focused on winning. Sf9's an underdog despite being a senior and has a relatively small fanbase.

At first I kinda dont pay attention to the Boys and SF9 becoz I thought they are just pretty face idols and have no talent, sorry that’s my bad. This performance really was a revelation to everyone. Even to their own group members 😭 You can see that everyone in the show had newfound respect for them especially Hwiyoung and Sunwoo. Bobby knew what he doing, mind of a master.
So originaly, Bobby doesn't really like to participate in this rap unit, like when he was asked about it he said, "What, rap again? he's tired coz he has done so many rap competition and all, so he wants Chanu to join for fun, but after seeing these two, Hwiyoung and Sunwoo, listening to them, their eagerness and passion to win, he change his mind and worked hard for the two. iKONICs understand this attitude of Bobby, but knowing someone new, not really close since they just knew each other in this competition made Bobby change his mind is somehow amazing for us like, maybe he saw something from these two that made his lazy ass work hard to help them make this performance. Salute to Sunwoo and Hwiyoung❣️Hope you can also make you own album like Bobby and Mino.🙌🏾

Now the whole world knows that SF9 and TBZ have amazing and talented rappers. Bobby didn't need any validation. Not from rookies who didn't know a thing about survival shows. Bobby chose to be a mentor instead of being a contestant. He knows that he is the standard and it would take a whole lot of so-called "experts" to bring him down. All props and respect to you Bobby.

Bobby gave him the chance to show who he really is as a rapper. In all honesty, I saw Mino and Bobby's style when he was rapping. I hope he gets to create his own music someday.

I think the culture of KPOP and hip-hop are just inherently different. I agree on a rap show, this song would've won or, at least, would have had a much much bigger chance to win (it eventually charted better than Mayfly, too, didn't it?) but on Kingdom, Mayfly happened to have a bigger chance to win.
When someone is winning, another is losing, there's no way around it. Like, during their sprint relay, Chan suddenly ended up winning the 2nd place. Perhaps, it's because Chan somehow got lucky. Perhaps, he got to run faster the very last seconds. Perhaps, it's because Sangyeon slipped. Perhaps, if Sangyeon had not slipped, The Boyz could have won the 2nd place. Perhaps, even if Sangyeon had not slipped, SKZ still had won the 2nd place. We will never know for sure... Well, I did wish professional rappers had been there to judge the rap performances specifically, but the fact that those who came to become judges that day ended up preferring Mayfly's performance, it's just a part of luck.

I was rooting for SKZ on Kingdom but this unit should have won over Mayfly just based on their rap execution alone. The title wordplay, the catchy hook and the flow of all three rappers were on point. Sunwoo’s energy here is unbeatable and you can tell that he’s so happy to be performing with Bobby. He took Bobby’s advice to go crazy, have fun and played with the camera at 2:19. Sunwoo as a fan to calling Bobby hyung was so endearing to see because he so looks up to him as a rapper. “3 stars, astronomical” is a fucking great punchline. Such a shame they didn’t win.

상대편 무대에서 저쪽은 쇼미 느낌이고 자기쪽은 킹덤 무대 같은 느낌이라고 했는데 쇼미 같은 느낌이여야 되는거 아닌가..... 유닛을 랩 댄스 보컬로 나눴으면 적어도 랩 포지션에선 랩 무대여야 되지 않나라는 생각이 듦 상대편 무대가 못 했다는건 아닌데 솔직히 심사위원 중에 랩 관련된 사람이 한명도 없었고 저쪽은 무대 소품을 많이 쓴 느낌이지만 여기는 진짜 즐기면서 하는 랩 같은 분위기여서 랩 포지션 무대인 만큼은 이 무대가 랩이라는 정체성을 잘 살린 것 같음

So originaly, Bobby doesn't really like to participate in this rap unit, like when he was asked about it he said, "What, rap again? he's tired coz he has done so many rap competition and all, so he wants Chanu to join for fun, but after seeing these two, Hwiyoung and Sunwoo, listening to them, their eagerness and passion to win, he change his mind and worked hard for the two. iKONICs understand this attitude of Bobby, but knowing someone new, not really close since they just knew each other in this competition made Bobby change his mind is somehow amazing for us like, maybe he saw something from these two that made his lazy ass work hard to help them make this performance.
