Lojo, I watched this video yesterday and it inspired me to give it a shot. I went to my local creek and cast netted a dozen creek chubs. Then, i drove to the river and caught a really nice small mouth.
You know, if those dogs are strays, and you were to take them home (after a trip to the vet for tests and shots), then you wouldn't have to worry about them playing in the water. Just saying... 🙂
Now I wanna go catch some live bait and fish this weekend! Time to call the neighbor 😊 ❤private waters

Love the video. Do live bait on a big lake. Where you don't know you'll catch fish. That private pond is guaranteed to catch fish. No matter what you throw in.

When I fish with brim I usually thread the hook all the way through the fish so the line is through the back then hook them again. It seams to help a bit. But that’s just my opinion. Thanks for sharing

Made a similar sacrifice with a key ring to create a makeshift stringer on the fly with some 80lb braid, a nice 16in trout ripped my normal stringer right out the ground

I recently find out there is public access to a county sand pit near my house that has double digit largemouth. So far I have only caught a few dinks on soft plastics out of it, but I am gonna go with shiners, sunfish, and bull minnows this week and try to get my PB.
Let's see a mix of frogs and worms in the small pond. Like the frog feeding and haven't seen much worm feeding live. Thanks for the content, really enjoyed this one, it was fun and excited just to watch as if I were there. Think the stank eye stray brought you some luck, may need yo sneak him away as a good luck charm.
Live bait fishing is the only type of fishing I do mate. I'm in the UK and tend to use a worm called rag worm which can be found on most beaches in the UK and other parts of northern Europe. Things like King ragworm can grow to lengths of 50cm (about 20 inches), only downside to rag is they do have 2 very sharp pincher type teeth which they can extend out of their mouth and give you a little bite, doesn't hurt its just a shock when you feel it biting 😅😂😂 caught a 15.3kg (33.7lb) cod with ragworm last night

I do did some this weekend drowning night crawlers. Caught a bunch of little bass nothing over 14"
I've done GREAT fishing live bait in saltwater. My 2 biggest fish were caught livelining baitfish. I caught a 5' blacktip shark with a "tinker mackerel", and a 25.5 lb striped bass with a 12" herring. I've also caught bluefish, flounder, weakfish, largemouth bass, catfish, pickerel, and several species of panfish on live bait.
Me too. I've got a 55# AJ on a live threadfin and a 49# black grouper on a live vermilion snapper. Still trying to catch my first stripper.

I noticed that when you use a spinning reel it’s set up for a left handed retrieve and when you use a bait caster it’s a right handed retrieve. Can you explain why that is. Thanks love the channel
Weighted slip bobbers are what you need for live bait. Yu can reel the hook right to the rod tip so no long leader casting in a tight spot!
How about feeding night crawlers and crawfish in the micro pond?!?!
Lojo have you even tried using The One Cast jigs? Its a USA veteran owned bait company that specializes in jigs

I think they're letting people fish with them and get feedback before they release them. It takes time to make good products. I believe they'll be really nice.

Sup lojo, when my brother and I go fishing, we always get shiners or trap some small bluegill, even baby perch.. each put a rod out and put in stand, then we BS, grill, little competition like we get from channels lol. When we go together it's not about fishing, it's just something we do lol. Nice bass bro. we go on his custom bass pontoon boat and compete with friends also, lil pond looks good for B1, B2 and Jojo, or can name them after explosives like commented cuz next step blow it up if fails like say lol. I'd put a mix of bait in lol pond, rest in big pond. Should be crawfish time? Tyvm tc 🎣

I use canned tuna or canned mackerel or canned Salmon or dry dog food cat food work’s amazing for bait traps but I use some panty hose for the tuna and salmon I’ll put some in the trap but most of it will come out the trap but is a great chummin but the panty hose hold the rest In . Tight lines brotha
Looking forward to the Backyard pond and micro pond updates, but what about that other pond, the hidden one, on your property? Did you lose it or forget about it? I'd love to see an update on that?
Just a suggestion try using just chicken hot dogs broken up . And no bread. Leave it for an hour to 2 hrs . You will catch more .

Best way I’ve seen to catch bait fish is to let the trap sit overnight. Next vid you use live bait, try throwing it the night before
