The fact that this is still a story is beyond me. Penix will take over for Cousins when the time comes. Right now, there is zero friction between the two and both want the same goal that our team and us want: to win.

Its crazy Kirk has the most 4000 yards 25td seasons since 2015, and he gets about as much hate as I have ever seen anyone get. They use the well he has won one playoff game, ya and how did he play in those playoff games, he has 5 tds and 1 interception in those games. I would love to see him get the monkey off his back, like Steve Young. But he will have to win, and people will still probably hate on him.
Minnesota was honest with him about drafting a qb this year. He wasn't willing to "be on the same page as his Gm and coach" so he left and got what he deserves, to be put in a real qb room with young competition to prove he's the guy. No more Justin Jefferson to bail him out.

Well first of all Cousins is the starter. He has a recent injury History. Achilles. So it's fair to think he could get injured again. Hence the Penix pick. Hes the backup. There is No confusion here. I dont expect Poor play from Cousins but that's another way Penix could get on the field. If London and Pitts dont shine then bring in Penix. There will be No Excuse for that.

Kirk is one of the most durable QBs in the league. This was his first injury ever that caused him to miss games.

Not a falcons fan but I definitely feel like Penix will end up being a good QB. If cousins can stay healthy… even better… let his body get used to a year or two if minimal hits… heal up even more from his injuries all while getting to study and prepare for his starting role… maybe im hating but i feel like his supporting cast on both sides of the ball aint what it could be for him

After the first 5 games, people will begin to decide if Kirk should remain the starter. If the W-L is 3-2 or more wins, they’ll say he can continue. If the W-L is 2-3 or less wins, people will begin to ask for Penix.
The only reason Michael Penix plays within the next 2 years is if Kirk gets injured. Otherwise he will be on the bench waiting on his turn without causing problems. The dude isn't some immature kid.

Kirk will be gone within two years regardless and Penix will come in. Let’s be real Kirks time is almost up and he’s nowhere near as mobile as Penix and has already reached his ceiling. We just want Penix to sit and learn and come in and ball out similar to Love or Mahomes. It’s clear sitting and learning can be extremely beneficial to QBs coming into the NFL and help them transition, not every QB can come in and have an immediate impact like CJ Stroud did. And i bet youll see a lot of rookie QBs next year struggling because they were thrown in the fire.

Jordan Love was not the #8 pick, and Rodgers was fully entrenched in that position. Completely different scenario, there was a point where you did need to replace rodgers.
