I'm honestly glad to see that thing working 8 years later. I bought a used one, replaced the batteries and the main on/off switch and it has been really good for us. Installed a variable potentiometer to limit the speed. Wish it had a little more torque down low for climbing hills
That is awesome my son would love that he has ine but its broke down the controller is bad or the throttle and i just cant afford to order new stuff rught now. Im a cancer survivor twice over but I was left with a brain tumor and a seizure disorder and unable to work so I now live on a very small fixed income that bearly covers bills so things are rough these days but i do what i gotta to keep my boy happy

Good to see you back in the shop and your happy place dude! Its lovely to see the kids all grown up as well and how much they've progressed on their toys. 💯👊🏻
I did a build like this about 7 years ago when batteries weren't cheap. It was so much fun off-road or in sand as you didn't bog only real problem i ever had was when i fell off and the throttle stuck on it just kept trying to go until it was messed up got some good air tho
I work in the x-ray repair world. Most all the portable machines and c-arms have batteries. 24, 48 and 76vlt configurations i have done to all my kids ride ons. Best part all the battery upgrades were free.99!!!
It will be cool to some day see full mild hybrid 48V system shredding small, toy tires :> In this case setup is rated for under 3hp, 48V hybrid is rated for 10-20hp :>
Really wish you were showing your son safety as well. I mean I adore the way You're right beside him teaching him. But you know as well as I do you probably should be using a clamp when using the drill press..
I did something similar to one of those a couple of years ago. I found that geared directly to the axle that the ratio was too high. I ended up getting a second axle and cutting it down to use as a jackshaft.
Very cool video! Your kids are very lucky to have access to such cool tools and equipment. I have a question for you. I am currently trying to purchase one of these for my four year old, but I keep coming across two different 24 V options, one is $450 and one is $750, any idea what the differences are? They look like they have the same specs 8 mph top speed 120 weight limit etc.. I know there is also a 36 V option carries 220 pounds and is quicker but I just wasn’t sure what the differences were between the other two.
i love this video being i am a father (22) of 3 building up my tools and teaching my kid (2 daughters and a son) everything that i was taught and things i continue to learn about building and etc. 🤍 i hope my kids will grow into loving to build their own things and have fun and fast toys 🙏🏼 keep going man !! when they get a little older we shall move to cars/trucks 👀
Did you have to change the throttle control or or did it work with the original one? Im thinking about doing this same mod to my sons pulse performance 24v quad
Your a good Dad, beautiful Family.

Thanks, unfortunately I don't have any knowledge of the two different 24v models.
Great job. Could you share the break caliper mount file.
Great job - just a little tire balancing and your son will rip that thing
Dang Dad, maybe you could extend the frame & make er a little taller as well for your growing boys... Just saying given Your wealth of equipment
