@@jollygoodvelo ohh then the item that I purchase is incomplete because The package only has the magnet for the wheel stem. I don’t have the magnet for the crank. Tsk tsk
Can i pair my duo trap on my treck fx2 to a turbo trainer to turn it into a smart turbo trainer. I am turbo trainer shopping at the moment thanks Great videos as always
Sadly, that won’t be possible. You can easily use this method to pair everything to something like Zwift but a smart trainer will increase the resistance to simulate a climb.
Good work. For those asking there is a new DuoTrap with ANT+ and Bluetooth (model# 508126). I just ordered one, although my old one works but I need Bluetooth
Hello there, yes, my blank- and indeed the actual sensor are in the outside. Yours is most likely a different design and you may need to remove your back wheel to fit the Duotrap. Good luck.
I can do with you now. Brought my bike into my LBS and they install a Bontanger DuoTrap Speed/Cadence sensor onto my bike. Nothing! Nadda! Zip! This is my first time using any type of cycle computer, so, I'm in over my head. You're not planning any holidays to Ireland, are you?????
@@jollygoodvelo I'll do that. Thanks for the tip. Only new yesterday. Can't wait to get the hang of it. It will be am incentive to get out cycling more to try to beat my previous cadence target etc.
Quick and to the point, the only way instruction video's should be thank you.
Martin Sowerby Hi Martin, hope you found it useful. Thanks for watching.
Yes I did, no BS and simple to understand, thank you very much.
Another quality video Leo. Well done!!!
Thanks Shane. Glad you liked it. Stay tuned for more!
Quick question, so you have 1 magnet to your wheel stem/spoke for speed and another magnet attached to your crank for cadence??
Exactly.

Will it work with the general smartphone activity apps without gettin a cycling computer?
Not really because this unit is only ANT+ while smartphones are Bluetooth
Do you need carbon fiber frame?
Not necessarily

Thanks John. Glad you liked it. I made this film a few months ago so a new Duotrap was inevitable. I'd be interested to hear how the Bluetooth works.
Crystal clear. Thank you!
my 3 month old FX7.3 seems to have the blank on the inside. His looked like it was on the outside.

Thanks. had it off for a flat, no problema.
are all the bontrager duotrap sensors compatible with polar v650 computer?
85ddiaz Hi there, Unfortunately I have no experience with the Polar range. If it is ANT compatible it should, in theory, work. Thanks for watching.
leonardmlee thanks from colombia
85ddiaz Thank you for watching in Colombia! Happy cycling.
Polar V650 is blue tooth so I'm hoping it pairs!!!
Where is the place to charge the battery
You don’t charge it- you replace it. It’s just one of these little button cells. Under normal circumstances they last literally years.
great video
Thank you. Glad you liked it.

I would check the sensor battery!

my sensor won't go in.. its like the rubber grommet is in the way.
+Matthew Bartelloni It may be that it's not sitting in there correctly. Have you tried moving the rubber grommet?
thanks for posting!
Thanks for watching.
Indeed, what is Duotap? Is it anything like Duotrap?
It's a speed and cadence sensor that's fairly aerodynamic and fairly astheticly pleasing.
AFAIK it's not cheaper than other sensors, but I'm not sure.
