Yep and the insulation tape keeping those non condensables out will ensure the compressor will be fine as well as running it with no refrigerant or evap just to top it off, if it cools at all I'd be surprised if it lasts 6 months
You replaced the radiator because the old one was badly damaged and the remaining paper marks that were removed from the new one are still attached to it. But its a nice job well done
its because of some leak are in center, that cannot be repair, some mechanic are able to repair it but it damaged those fins and it affect the cooling performance, and not easy jobs take time, i thinks thats why they just find another radiator 2nd used

The cooling coil in the begining is not blue coated then it suddenly become blue coated. There were so many places where bubbles are coming out but he fixes only on bend

Finally got it up and running. The only delays we had was because we realized we needed some extra parts (I’ll list that below) ruclips.net/user/postUgkxihMYiJNXcHdbH-7ihymsLz61l7jVyb5O . So we have a loft where our current hvac just couldn’t seem to keep cool during the summer. We have been using a window unit since we bought this house over 6 years ago (all the houses in this neighborhood were built in the 80’s and majority of the houses built like ours use a window unit). I hate window units because they are just so noisy and the one we had really only cools one side of the loft. I had contemplated upgrading our current HVAC, but with all the rising prices these days, it would take years before saving up enough to do that. With the advice of my father-in-law (used to run an HVAC business), he recommended we get an inverter instead. We thought we bought everything we needed, but there were just a few other parts we didn’t anticipate needing (which is what caused most of our delay). My friend and father-in-law did all the work to get it installed and running and now we have nice cool air circulating nicely throughout the entire loft. It is very quiet and even the outside unit is much quieter than our main HVAC unit. Saved ourselves thousands getting this.

i see 2 major issues here 1 you used R-22 there is not any R-22 mini split systems out there. 2 the evaporator you pulled out is not the 1 you put is the fins where wiped out in 1 section but not on the one you put in so why bother brazing it refrigerant tanks where color coded until recently i am a HVACR tech
if u actually knew something about split system,you would know that there is not a chance to fill compressor with r-22 instead of of r-410 or r-407. simple,conection hose is different..

Hey mate,I have seen mani high wall splits with r22. Although if we get them and they are buggered there is no point trying to fix them as you can’t get parts for them and r22 is $100+ a kg so no point fixing leaks and recharging. I think this is great idea if they have a shortage on money or access to new units.
No need to repaint, just spray with h2o2 and put under the sun, the casing would back to white like new. My job is recycling refrigerator and air conditioner in indonesia, and it worth to do
Where can i get that magic paint you use it would be great to paint over lables and when it drys the lables come back will save a lot of time as will not have to mask up any cars paint them and the windows an lights all come back and will not have to clean them
