Visit our Homepage to learn about Geeplus Actuators (Solenoids, moving coils, small motors and more): www.geeplus.com/
Because of the precision, control and reliability required in life-sustaining medical equipment, Geeplus products can be found in applications throughout this important industry.
Our customized voice coil actuators and proportional solenoids have allowed us to become the worldwide leading supplier of actuators ( • Voice Coil Motors: Act... ) in ventilator applications, as the engineers that design the most advanced machines on the market continue to implement them.
Very low hysteresis…along with a high level of controllability are common requirements for actuators used in advanced medical equipment, as are high speed capability, a long life cycle, and extremely high efficiency; all benefits that Voice Coil actuators provide.
Geeplus incorporates flexure bearings and rolling bearings into select Voice coil motors--Like our renowned VM 38--combined with an extremely rigorous testing process to consistently surpass performance and quality requirements.
When required, Geeplus can carry out fully comprehensive testing of parts to an agreed specification, with a unique Serial number identifying each part, and precise test data traceable to each individual serial number.
Geeplus also recently unveiled a new, solenoid-driven Pinch valve, which is used to facilitate the flow of liquid through a tube by opening and closing the flow, without any contact between the liquid and the valve itself.
The flow of liquid is controlled by energizing and de-energizing the solenoid, which pinches and opens the tubing, providing outstanding control of flow while protecting it from all contamination.
Additional medical applications where Geeplus actuators can be found include metering and dosing in medical pumps, blood analysis equipment, advanced ambulance bed mechanisms, X-ray and MRI beds, bone density analysis machines, cleaning and sterilization equipment, and more.

What is the main difference between VCA and solenoid? I always thought a single coil that is moved in a perm-magnetic field is the same as a solenoid?
Is it safe to assume your VCAs are more suitable for higher frequency domains then the solenoid?

The VCAs, with a moving coil (as opposed to a moving plunger) supply far more precision and controllability than a solenoid, which is either 'on' or 'off.'
