@@TMIDD That's really tough because it used to be hands down the 85 1.2, but that 50 1.2 is niiiice and it's size over the 85 makes it easier to choose. However, at the end of the day it's all about the 85 1.2 as the closer and cherry on top!
I’ve had this lens 11 months now and I’d have to says that it’s the GOAT, a real game changer though I feel it comes into its own at f/1.2 and particularly shooting people full body length where you can appreciate the insane bokeh better than headshots. Thanks for sharing your settings
my husband already knows it's closer to my bag than it was 2 months ago. I tested it at BnH and it was on since then! I have been obsessed!!!! That 2k buy sent me into save for the lens mode lmao! But I'm on it! 📸 yaasssss. Make the purchase we'll do a photoshoot out in Bklyn Bridge Park this summer! 👌🏾
@TMIDD dang! That definitely is an uphill battle hahaha whatever you decide, I fully support it 💪🏿 I'm love my Z7 but lord knows I want em all hahahha! Happy snappin bro. 💕
It's not that you don't have to edit. You've gained enough experience to setup and compose a shoot to limit how much post processing is actually needed.
Morgan is a sensational subject and you did a great job. Nikon 85mm are my favorite lenses. Always enjoy your videos TMIDD - you have a great weeekend!! Also, what does TMIDD stand for?
Awesome pics! I love it ❤ I don't understand how you can still get ambiant light in the background with a speed of 1/5000. After thinking about it a bit, it must be because the day was really really sunny?
friggin awesome those photos, nice, what WB did you use, looks like maybe 6000? what picture profile did you use, standard or portait? did you use any of in the body features like skin smoothing? those jpegs right from camera are insane, thanks
another great video. What are you recording your BTS on? I feel like photographers make excuses why they can't create content and on some shoots when I don't have a BTS shooter its just cell phone quality video.
Thanks man. In this video I used two cams, the POV is a gopro hero 11 and the stationary cam is a sony a7siii. I certainly say use whatever you have to get started and build along the way as it makes sense.
Another dope shoot. I spent last year shooting primarily with a 50 prime. I want to shoot with or at least at 85 primarily this year. This vid is another reason to shoot on 85
I tried out the 50 1.2 about 2 years ago on my channel that lens was special as well but something about that 85mm. If you get your hands on it, try it and let me know your thoughts.
Love this video and the model is gorgeous. But please stop counting. It is very amateurish. If you see the shot, take the shot. You are leagues above amateur.
Great shoot! This girl is spectacular!!! She is just fantastic. She is money in the bank. Thanks for sharing....Peace. The 85mm 1.2 is killer as well.
AGREED! I'm lucky I found her while I was on vacation in this video, phenomenal talent indeed. And the 85mm ........ well it speaks for itself😁
The 85 1.2 is my favorite along with the 50 1.2. My two favorite lenses in my bag!
Which one is the ultimate favorite 👀

This lens is crazy good! so do you think its worth the price tag for what its able to produce?
@@TMIDD Can you put a price on perfection?
Yup that's the lense I'm saving up for! I got 1 outta 4 so far!
Yeah this lens is special. I got it as a loaner from Nikon but I may consider buying it after using it these past several months

Haha I'm going to encourage you to make that purchase but my dilemma is do I buy this lens or get the Z8 so I'm in a tough space haha.
@TMIDD dang! That definitely is an uphill battle hahaha whatever you decide, I fully support it 💪🏿 I'm love my Z7 but lord knows I want em all hahahha! Happy snappin bro. 💕
Phenomenal my man…… Thi king of high speed sync 👑👑. Can you do a video with the same set up except with the sigma 105 1.4
Thanks, thats a little tough right now since its cold out but when it warms up for sure.
one two boooom!!!!.......🔥💯

Your exactly right.
I was thinking about it today. If it’s necessary to even have a flash. When you can do all in Lightroom.
@@TV-Inkorgen flash adds drama to the photos. Doing it in lightroom doesn't always have a natural flash look.
@@mroblige1018 Yes, that’s right just another style of workflow.
It is necessary, to create the drama. You can’t do this in Lightroom, it’ll look fake

Lol bro just casually ran a marathon before this vid or supm😅 Great vid g
Listen I did a lot of running in that 10min time span to get the shot haha
That 85🔥🔥🔥
That 85 aint nothing to play with
Fire 🔥 production. Nice explained and displayed, awesome model 💃🤩 👌
Thank you 🙌
Which speedlite works well directly from camera body?
There are several good ones, personally I use the godox v1
Cool video 👍
Thanks for the visit
What did you use to power the Godox MS300 on the street?
Im using the godox ad300 pro in this video.

You are correct ✅ it was an extremely sunny day and remember my f stop is at 1.2 so that is allowing a significant amount of light in through my lens.
@@TMIDD Thank you for your feedback

WB: 5800 and Portrait profile. I didn't use any of the skin smoothing features or anything of that nature
@@TMIDD thanks for the reply, i really love the images that came out of the camera stock, insane
The ad300pro comes a long way from my startup 14 years ago with external batteries and cables.
I love this light I truly travel with it everywhere I go. What's your setup nowadays?
@@TMIDD Got the ad300pro on the smvd 32in flip box and the ad100pro on the 20 in flip box. Hardly use my ad600 nowadays.
Yeah I've been telling everyone the ad300 can do pretty much anything you need with a portable footprint. I'd take that over the ad600 anytime.
