Great video! I thought your side by side footage at the end was awesome! In some shots, there wasn’t a big difference, in others you could see so much more detail in the surroundings grass\trees. You can’t get a better comparison than that!!
When you’re passionate about something, you put your all into that and it shows. I’ve seen it through your old streaming passion too. That studio and quality looks so good.
What a great comparison. Since I never had a thermal. After seeing some different thermals at the Dealers and most of the shots were I hunt at are less than 150 yards I picked what I thought was best for me. A couple of months ago I bought the XQ38 for $2500 and a quick disconnect mount for $100 more. Once I got it zeroed in at 50, 100 and 150 yards it shoots very accurately. I can't wait until November so I can take it out for some Coyotes. Here in Illinois we can only hunt at night from November to March so that's another reason why I started out with the lower end. Bought 2 Talion XQ38 scopes July, 2022, one has been flawless, the other has been a complete turd right from the start. Shuts off under recoil and loses any video being recorded, dead pixels, battery losing charge at a fast rate, charge it up fully then it says it only has 26% battery life. This past Friday I charged the scopes then went out hunting, when I got on property I pulled my rifle out of the padded case only to find the zoom/selector wheel on top of the scope had popped off and was laying in the bottom of the case. I'm hoping Pulsar just replaces the scope with the new XQ35 Pro as they have already discontinued the XQ38. Now the "flawless" scope has recently started doing silly stuff concerning battery life and charging. Been a little disappointing to say the least.
Great job reviewing these scopes. They should just keep the 38 around and sell it as cheap as they can. It'll allow for a cheaper option of getting into thermal hunting. Like you said. It's still good enough for 100yd shots .

I think the issue comes with cost to manufacture. I think this unit is probably pretty close to the cost to manufacture as the new pro.
Both scopes are great! 35pro will outperform 38 when humidity is high, excellent video on comparison 👊

Really anything. They have a high recoil rating. 300 win mag and 12ga is no issue
