Proud for what, the position of Artsakh isn't understandable for people and countries of West. If Artsakh wants the help from this countries, it should have a standpoint on different issues. If not, they will tell you, make your own effort, and stop asking help from us. If you don't need a help why even give an interview.

Basically the @bbc clown didn’t want to talk about Artsakh he wanted to talk about Putin. Also he wanted Ruben to shit (excuse my language) on Putin. And when he didn’t get what he wanted, he started manipulating him in all directions trying to compromise Ruben’s credibility. And I’m sure he thinks he was being a tough journalist. But in reality he was being unprofessional, manipulative, uninformed, came there not as an unbiased journalist (as it should be) but with his own agenda. Sad journalism. Congratulations State Minister Ruben Vardanyan, you outclassed Stephen Sackur with your intelligence and diplomatic skills, while trying to navigate the case for Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh,) which is between a rock and a hard place with a humanitarian disaster unfolding. It must be very difficult to criticise the "Russian Peacekeepers" who are clearly not keeping the peace and are part of the problem, since there are no international peacekeepers or a buffer zone between the despotic and cruel hubris of the Aliev regime and Artsakh. Difficult also for yourself personally, since you may have many family members in Russia. We have to remember however, that Artsakh (Nagorno Karabagh) is de jure part of Armenia as internationally recognised after the First World War, the League of Nations and President Woodrow Wilson's thoughtfully drawn map. The administrative borders forced on Armenia and Karabakh by the Bolshevik party are illegal by International Law and the Treaty of Sevres is still applicable according to International Lawyers. Please remind everyone and claim what is legally Armenian territory, if International Law has any meaning at all.

Рубен Варданян не сдержал обещание не делать политических заявлений/выступлений, принял участие в HardTalk и нанес серьезный ущерб национальным интересам армянского народа и Армении. Если одним предложением. Наиболее серьезные удары по армянскому суверенитету и государственности - без детального анализа, по горячим следам. 1. Рубен Варданян не согласился подтвердить утверждение Стивена Сокура, что обеспечение коммуникаций является функцией российских войск, защищая их. 2. Рубен Варданян не стал отвечать на прямой вопрос Стивена Сокура касательно российской агрессии против Украины - осуждаете или нет. Буквально и «тупо» не стал ничего говорить. 3. Рубен Варданян позволил Стивену Сокуру провести точку зрения, что РА полностью дистанцировалась от Арцаха и больше не является гарантом ее безопасности. Не было каких-либо возражений. 4. Рубен Варданян позволил провести различие между позицией РА и Арцаха касательно РФ, когда РА является антироссийской, а Арцах - пророссийским. 5. Вопросы касающиеся бизнес-репутации Рубена Варданяна, как занимающегося серыми схемами, оказались «вплетены» в арцахскую проблему. Значительная часть полемики посвящена вопросам «денег Варданяна». Вот у армянского народа не хватает самой арцахской проблемы, которую теперь надо будет каким-то образом отделять от личности Варданяна, который однозначно и без вариантов характеризуется, как человек Путина. 6. На прямой вопрос Стивена Сокура, что РФ не в состоянии сейчас дать гарантии безопасности Арцаху, может отойдете - не стал отвечать. 7. Неграмотно выстроил ответ на дилемму- арцахскому армянству уезжать или начать диалог с Азербайджаном, стать частью Азербайджана. Не владеет дипломатической историей проблемы. Банально не вспомнил, что есть Минская группа, скажем, и контакты руководства Арцаха и Азербайджана начались в 90-е годы. 8. Стивен Сокур своими вопросами показал миру, что у Рубена Варданяна нет видения решения проблемы, видения будущего Арцаха. Это неизбежно будет распространено на весь Арцах и арцахское армянство. 9. Стивен Сокур показал миру, что внутри Арцаха есть раскол касательно фигуры Рубена Варданяна. Арцахское общество было показано расколотым. Наверное хватит. Главное для меня и в качестве подытоживающего вывода-заключения. Рубен Варданян не использовал площадку, чтобы попросить другие центры силы о помощи, вместо проваливающейся России. Мир увидел Арцах, стеной стоящим за Путина и славу русского оружия.

R. Vardanyan's replies/comments to that biased BBC journalist were good. I comprehend the required format of Stephen Sackur's interviews however he sounded very biased and hostile.
It was a HARD TALK... Though it was supposed to be an INTERVIEW, Mr. Sackur steered it into a MONOLGUE. I wish Mr. Sackur "Good Luck" in your endeavor; and to Mr. Vartanian of the people of Artzakh in these trying times just be strong.
Vardanyan brilliantly answered all questions. He is not only a successful businessman, but also an excellent diplomat and politician. Sackur was nervous that neither accusations nor resentment were voiced against Russia, it was obvious. ARTSAKH is and will be an independent state!

No country in their right mind can force a democracy into a dictatorship, there is no choice but to remain separate, the explanation must be very easy and clear.

Но пока в НК реальность такова: по Документу от 9 ноября 2020 г. там находятся "российские миротворцы", которые свою миссию в полном объёме не выполняют, но хотя бы минимально служат барьером для предотвращения прямых столкновений. Именно эту реальность Варданян учитывал, отвечая на "провокативные" вопросы журналиста. The format of this program implied it'll be Hard Talk. Presenter did many interviews and even interviewed aliyev by asking him very harsh critical questions. But I am also sure and certain 100 % that for this interview with Mr Vardanyan, azeris provided a lot of anti-Armenian briefings, anti-Artsakh arguments to the presenter to prepare the interview.

@Samvel Victory Not unless you are just a Ruben fan. He is Putin's servant sent to the region and things have got much worse for people since his arrival. And Sackur was checking to see if Ruben is honest - you can't hope for the Western support, without showing your position about the illegal war in Ukraine. As for the atrocities, both parties committed them, the post-war towns which were under Armenian control before are a good example.

I respect this man, he really answered all the questions perfectly despite the fact that the journalist was being rude and manipulative by frequently interrupting him and not allowing him to finish his answers. I'm not sure what Ruben's motives are for being in Artsakh, but I feel he is doing the right thing there.
Of course Steven Sakur, a very well known investigator, is very rude and unintelligent but Putin’s friend Mr. Dr. Professor and finally saviour of Armenians is an angel.. 😝😝
@@josephbrown2222 I did not imply that Ruben is a savior or angel of Armenia; rather, I suggested that I am uncertain of his motives for being in Artsakh during this time. However, his neutral responses give me cause to believe that he is genuinely concerned for the well-being of the region. The questions posed to him were relevant and natural, but they should have been posed in a more moderate manner, so as to not make it evident that they were seeking to manipulate and modify the words of the respondent rather than being focused on safeguarding people's rights.

It is not appropriate for a journalist to use bullying tactics during an interview. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional, but it also undermines the credibility of the journalist and the integrity of the profession. Congratulations State Minister Ruben Vardanyan, you outclassed Stephen Sackur with your intelligence and diplomatic skills, while trying to navigate the case for Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh,) which is between a rock and a hard place with a humanitarian disaster unfolding. It must be very difficult to criticise the "Russian Peacekeepers" who are clearly not keeping the peace and are part of the problem, since there are no international peacekeepers or a buffer zone between the despotic and cruel hubris of the Aliev regime and Artsakh. Difficult also for yourself personally, since you may have many family members in Russia. We have to remember however, that Artsakh (Nagorno Karabagh) is de jure part of Armenia as internationally recognised after the First World War, the League of Nations and President Woodrow Wilson's thoughtfully drawn map. The administrative borders forced on Armenia and Karabakh by the Bolshevik party are illegal by International Law and the Treaty of Sevres is still applicable according to International Lawyers. Please remind everyone and claim what is legally Armenian territory, if International Law has any meaning at all.

Наиболее серьезные удары по армянскому суверенитету и государственности - без детального анализа, по горячим следам.
1. Рубен Варданян не согласился подтвердить утверждение Стивена Сокура, что обеспечение коммуникаций является функцией российских войск, защищая их.
2. Рубен Варданян не стал отвечать на прямой вопрос Стивена Сокура касательно российской агрессии против Украины - осуждаете или нет. Буквально и «тупо» не стал ничего говорить.
3. Рубен Варданян позволил Стивену Сокуру провести точку зрения, что РА полностью дистанцировалась от Арцаха и больше не является гарантом ее безопасности. Не было каких-либо возражений.
4. Рубен Варданян позволил провести различие между позицией РА и Арцаха касательно РФ, когда РА является антироссийской, а Арцах - пророссийским.
5. Вопросы касающиеся бизнес-репутации Рубена Варданяна, как занимающегося серыми схемами, оказались «вплетены» в арцахскую проблему. Значительная часть полемики посвящена вопросам «денег Варданяна». Вот у армянского народа не хватает самой арцахской проблемы, которую теперь надо будет каким-то образом отделять от личности Варданяна, который однозначно и без вариантов характеризуется, как человек Путина.
6. На прямой вопрос Стивена Сокура, что РФ не в состоянии сейчас дать гарантии безопасности Арцаху, может отойдете - не стал отвечать.
7. Неграмотно выстроил ответ на дилемму- арцахскому армянству уезжать или начать диалог с Азербайджаном, стать частью Азербайджана. Не владеет дипломатической историей проблемы. Банально не вспомнил, что есть Минская группа, скажем, и контакты руководства Арцаха и Азербайджана начались в 90-е годы.
8. Стивен Сокур своими вопросами показал миру, что у Рубена Варданяна нет видения решения проблемы, видения будущего Арцаха. Это неизбежно будет распространено на весь Арцах и арцахское армянство.
9. Стивен Сокур показал миру, что внутри Арцаха есть раскол касательно фигуры Рубена Варданяна. Арцахское общество было показано расколотым.
Наверное хватит. Главное для меня и в качестве подытоживающего вывода-заключения. Рубен Варданян не использовал площадку, чтобы попросить другие центры силы о помощи, вместо проваливающейся России. Мир увидел Арцах, стеной стоящим за Путина и славу русского оружия.

Dictatorship, discrimination, racism, ethnic cleansing, cultural genocide are key words that must be repeated constantly, along with examples in all interviews. No country in their right mind can force a democracy into a dictatorship, there is no choice but to remain separate, the explanation must be very easy and clear.

Or close to 75% of the population of the 12 districts (95%~ of the population of Zengilan, Fizuli, Aghdam, Kalbajar, Lachin, Qubadli, Jabrayil districts being ethnic Azerbaijanis in the early 90s and 80% of Shusha district's population).. While simultaneously laying 1 million landmines to prevent the return of all ethnic Azerbaijanis to Karabakh.. The fact the Armenians are now claiming to be the victim, and in the middle of an ethnic cleansing is both ironic and one of the biggest forms of gaslighting. When their population is fully intact in NK, we're allowed to leave and return between 2020-present by AZ. And with an, estimated 1000+ trucks recorded to have entered the Russian peacekeeping zone since December.

Pure, strong, genuine voice defending the rights of its people, facing agenda (of whatever nature and source/interest you to decide) driven hard and very dirty attack on ordinary people in a very vulnerable situation.
A so called journalist, who is perhaps living in the colonial past of his ancestors, still believing that no one can understand that he is cheating by mostly and simply using content out of context... as if "see, I have done my homework, found some people on the streets with important (to myself unknown, but who cares, as long as it sounds important) behind them, so now I can make them represent a country, or 120,000 people and more... content, carefully selected to benefit only his agenda of trying to present one of many stories as the only one and that must be perceived by millions to be the truth, trying to use this to create an illusion of a genuine and professional "hardtalk", when the only thing he is doing is trying to direct, impose, crash, to dominate, trying to be glorious, attempting to manipulate to find 'wins' in very dirty waters, and so on and so on.
This 'thing' is, if not anything else, practically laughing at people surrounded by army with full ammunition ready to kill them at any moment, awaiting a command. Caught in his own game, he is not even remembering or looking into perhaps within of whatever remained in him as human, not let thinking of importance of words empathy, compassion, love, responsibility, integrity...
Four foundational principles of journalism: 1. seek truth and report it 2. minimize harm 3. act independently 4. be accountable and transparent. Do you find any of these here?
Do you see a man in his fancy studio, himself highly vulnerable, crashed by his own fears of whatever, perhaps not happy in his own life... do you feel sorry for him?
A very good case for those teaching what the word journalism stands for... and what it should not stand for...

Именно эту реальность Варданян учитывал, отвечая на "провокативные" вопросы журналиста. The format of this program implied it'll be Hard Talk. Presenter did many interviews and even interviewed aliyev by asking him very harsh critical questions.
But I am also sure and certain 100 % that for this interview with Mr Vardanyan, azeris provided a lot of anti-Armenian briefings, anti-Artsakh arguments to the presenter to prepare the interview.
As ordiniary azerbaijani I am commenting "he does not seem sincere". till 2022 where was he? in hard times of "120000 armenian" he has never shout out, and I think not only journalist, everybody around knows/thinks vardanyan is a new "putin's game/project", to prolong the conflict, which works mostly not for two sides but mostly for russia/putin to keep both under control with conflict. and seems putin also using him as a trouble against pashinyan who seems more adequate and prefers western friends, and western society.

Получается он по сути серийный убийца своих же армян на карту поставил их жизни преследуя свои политические цели в ущерб всему армянскому народу.

@Samvel Victory Not unless you are just a Ruben fan. He is Putin's servant sent to the region and things have got much worse for people since his arrival. And Sackur was checking to see if Ruben is honest - you can't hope for the Western support, without showing your position about the illegal war in Ukraine. As for the atrocities, both parties committed them, the post-war towns which were under Armenian control before are a good example.

I respect this man, he really answered all the questions perfectly despite the fact that the journalist was being rude and manipulative by frequently interrupting him and not allowing him to finish his answers. I'm not sure what Ruben's motives are for being in Artsakh, but I feel he is doing the right thing there.
Of course Steven Sakur, a very well known investigator, is very rude and unintelligent but Putin’s friend Mr. Dr. Professor and finally saviour of Armenians is an angel.. 😝😝
@@josephbrown2222 I did not imply that Ruben is a savior or angel of Armenia; rather, I suggested that I am uncertain of his motives for being in Artsakh during this time. However, his neutral responses give me cause to believe that he is genuinely concerned for the well-being of the region. The questions posed to him were relevant and natural, but they should have been posed in a more moderate manner, so as to not make it evident that they were seeking to manipulate and modify the words of the respondent rather than being focused on safeguarding people's rights.
