Wonderfully explained. This is a super nifty chip! I never even knew they existed.
Is there a chip like this with a microSD flash card reader attached, so you can put say an mp3 or wav file on it and have that play that instead when the button is pressed? It would likely sound much better than one recorded off the microphone right.

This was a very helpful video... But Sadly, the one I purchased did not work.... connected 3.0-5.0V DC to it and nothing. Has this happened to anyone else? Considering re-order and hope I get a working one this time.
usually this modules are not bad, i'd suggest you to recheck the wiring once..

If you want to repeat it after a delay, you can add a simple timer using 555 ic, if you also want to add repeat count, you have to add a microcontroller.

hey I know this is a little old but if you wanted to connect this to batteries what size would be cheapest and most compact? also how would I set it up if I wanted to make a toy?
3 AA batteries would be good..setup is same..
Hithis helps a lot. If I record the PAYE button plays back once. But the PLAYL button does the same. It plays back only once, no matter how long I press the button. What can be wrong here? I made no changes to the module. I feed it with 5V from an Arduin power supply.
Maybe the module is damaged?

Yes we can add a tilt or vibration sensor to it, or a IR sensor can be used.

current requirement for this circuit is very low, it will work in 5v 100ma also, so both 1A and 2A are fine, whichever is available with you.

No, only option is recording. There are other module for copying, i will soon post videos on those.

Have not tested the distance, but I don't think it will work more than 15-20 feet distance as the output is very low.

You mean to say without the power supply??

this module supports only one audio..for multiple audio you have to use a different module, Arp33a3

It is not directly possible on this module, you can use a microcontroller and easily achieve the required result.

Hello brother, i'd like to asi you a question, i wan't to build a looper with this module for a music project, i was wondering if i can bypass the microphone to the speaker, as you did in the video, while repeating an audio sample, the goal is to record a sound, repeat it in a loop and then, moving a switch to play an instrument on the top of it :)

Don't worry brother, i just found out that my idea is nos viable, but i would like to ask you another question: i saw some videos of people connecting potentiometers to this module to control pitch, do you know how can i do that?
I have never heard or seen anything like that, so I checked the datasheet, even there is nothing mentioned about pitch change.

this module does not have built-in battery. Needs external power to work.

yes, after power restart the music will play, need to keep the PLAYE button pressed

@@RGInnovations yes i coneect PE pin with arduino data pin to control the isd 1820 with some data . in this case, can't i resolve this problem??
in that case please check the arduino sketch if it is sending a high output in the pin connected to PE at startup.

Yes, it can be usb powered. You have to make a one time pulse circuit using 555ic.

And when you unplug and plugin again it play sound once and stop.
