With the undeniably high expense of replacing broken EMD door latches you can be sure those are going to be popped off before all those hood doors are scrapped. I am so glad CP is finally putting the Milwaukee Road bandits out of our misery. The Progressive Rail MNS-inspired paint jobs are ALMOST identical to the originals. The hood and cab tops of the real MNS units were painted a bright aluminum that didn’t hold up very well and usually went to rust.
I saw crazy stuff Fakebonnets 15th anniversary dash 8s BNSF Mac’s Leaser craze Fallen flags Ballast trains And i basically became serious about Railfanning this year What a year it was (And if you ever run out of good stuff on the iron range, the matteson sub still has these units kicked around)
I believe I caught that same ballast train with that 6254 leading heading south out of Waukesha back in august. I have photos of it. First time seeing a ballast train.
I haven't been a long follower but I have been around for some of it and I got to say I enjoy your content especially you know around the twin cities and and Duluth and Wisconsin and doing stuff like that's I live in Minnesota so I like hearing what's going on I'm in the train world cuz it's just doesn't seem like there's much going on here but I guess there's more than I realized I live in brainerd now and there isn't much for rail up here anymore.
Emphasis on "What a Year it was." I biked more than 1,000 miles this summer to see incredible trains around the Twin Cities. I saw very similar trains but you definetely caught the better ones this year. 2025, here we come! Now its only a matter of time to see what'll happen, especially with older locomotives.
Sending 2816 to Mexico was a very bad move, The whole excursion had to be guarded by security armed with assault rifles and a woman died while taking a selfie
4:39 best sounding NathanAirchime P3 ever!
That C40-8 drone footage is killer
@Sambro333 Thank you! That's coming in a future video. :)
Film all cowl units that are still left before they're gone for good!
7:34, I think, was the coolest shot of all.

Do any CN cowl units still exist?

Great job on this video, my favs. Were the dash 8s! 👍
Do any C40-8s run on the IR anymore. Man, the locomotive scrapping looks like a train slaughter. Nice video.
@WesleyEast-RRfan No, that ended in Oct of 2024. :/ Thanks for watching, and the nice comment!
Amazing Video!

if you ever need your fill of Illinois Central, the CN runs them on their sub going through northwest indiana
You should check out the Indiana Harbor Belt's Gibson Yard
I can’t disagree with your #1, despite all of the other candidates. It makes me wonder how much longer the SD38-2’s will be around. 🤔

Thomas the tank engine would be proud.
