Is that a HP200 single chain?! 😮 Hi Marthyn, während ich gerade nebenher auf der Suche nach einem günstigen Pedal für den Proberaum bin sehe ich mir mal wieder eines deiner Videos an, um an meiner Technik zu arbeiten. Aber was?
I’ve been following your steps with these new videos and re-approached the drums with a different mindset focusing on relaxing more. I’ve had a huge leap forward in my double bass playing. I was stuck forever and only played heel-toe/double strokes. Thanks for these awesome daily video uploads!
I finally made a breakthrough on double bass heel/toe 🤯🤯🤯 It's lurching, slow, and inconsistent, but this is a hella milestone 😂 Cool glasses, brother.
I just started practicing ankle technique and I can only play in a range of 190 to 210 bpm. How can I slow down to 160 bpm? 🤔. Also notice that my right foot it moves almost with an automatic twitch with almost no effort, does it goes away over time? Thanks for the video!
I am playing songs from 150 to 200bpm, max to 220. But at some point I start to feel pain in the upper part of my legs. Usually when I play fast double bass I am playing with the ankles but at some point I start to loose the control and it's coming the cramp pain. So watching that video and listening to your advice, I should lower the seat and put myself closer to drums, right? Thank you and best regards from Bulgaria 🤘😊
@drumtechniqueacademy , so it's a mistake I did already weeks ago that I've changed few things at the same time. In that case to fix it now, what you would recommend me?
I have been practicing with a similar workout, and it has been pretty hard to do the ankle technique between 160-170,... I usually use full leg motion at those speeds but I have been trying to do it with ankle, but my feet don't want to go slower 🙈
Too late! After your previous video I replaced my beaters, added beater weights, adjusted spring tension, and adjusted the beater angles. All at the same time! 😂
One time I adjusted the springs of my pedals in such a way that I couldn't even get the beater to hit the bass drum with my greatest power. 😅 Went back to my previous settings. 🥲

My biggest thing isn't exercises but playing songs.

Lowering your seat height plus changing the distance from pedals to drumstool means you would change 2 things at the same time ..

Changing too many things at one time. I know that😝 Perfect Marthyn
We are all guilty of that 😁

Yes this takes time...
@@drumtechniqueacademy I will keep working on it 💪 thanks to your videos I get ideas on how to practice
awesome- thx for watching!
Should I start the ankle technique at 200BPM? Its where my right foot feels most controlled...Seems very fast place to start..?
I talked about that nervous twitching motion and how to get started in one of the previous episodes...
@@mazklassa9338yes!
Found it! Second half on the video deals with twitch.

Do you also practice off camera? (I would imagine so given the jump in days)
Nope... I only had time for 2 practice sessions this past week...this week is going to be the same most likely...
How often would you practice if you did not have to travel?
3-4 times per week gave me the best results 🤟
Kann ein besserer Driveshaft die ganze Sache nicht etwas einfacher machen ?
I end up playing too much I'm sore I developed radial tunnel syndrome and golfers elbow

😄 take it slow my friend...one change at a time 🤗
