Wheeler Dealers GTV Part 2: Italy Adventure!

- Wheeler Dealers star Marc "Elvis" Priestley drove me round and round the Varano racetrack in an Alfa Romeo GTV until I felt sick! Come along for the ride with with me in Part 2, as I fly to Italy to meet the Wheeler Dealers crew, who were filming a 20th Anniversary reunion of the Alfa GTV Cup Race Series for their "Season 27" episode. Watch me shake Mike Brewers hand and buy the beautiful 3.0 V6 Alfa GTV that Mike had bought for his Wheeler Dealers co-star Elvis to fix up! Follow my exciting road trip to meet up with Mike and Elvis, and drive the GTV around the Varano racetrack amid the spectacular scenery of Parma province in Northern Italy!

Huge fun. Well done on the purchase. It might be a week before Christmas but, you've inspired me. The little 916 spider will have it's roof down later this morning if it stays dry. If it's wet, I'm going for a drive in a misted up car!

I've been to Parma last June, it's a lovely city.

Another fabulous video. The GTV as a car is really growing on me, especially in red or blue. I have in the past driven a BMW round Brands Hatch and a Jag E Type, Aston Martin DB4, Porche 911 and Mk 1 Lotus Cortina round Goodwood, and I thought I was doing well until the professional driver got in and did their stuff. I loved every moment and plan to do others in the future.

What do you think the future for these cars is? I have a 3.0 GTV tucked away that’s barely running. Not sure what to do with it.
I know - you kept saying that you were going to restore it! 😉 They are “bouncing” now - prices are firming up but it may take a year or two before they make you rich!

This is brilliant! I have always wondered what its like to buy a car from Wheeler Dealers. We also now know why you where in Palma earlier in the year with that suitcase!🤣
Haha yes that was why! To be honest it was a great experience - the whole crew are really nice people and all keen to make sure you get a good deal and are happy. I was expecting “star” behaviour and hissy fits but nothing could be further from the truth. Great down to earth folks 👍🏻

Yeah I know - its pretty difficult finding royalty-free Italian music for videos! 😂 My Nanas family were all from Naples / Cassino area, so I grew up listening to Neapolitan songs and my Nana played the mandolin too! I can play a bit myself 🎸🪕

Oh, you live in Devon? Funny, I lived in Bideford for a while 20 years ago. Sadly I had no Alfa at the time since I sold my 75 just before I moved there.
Bideford is a funny little place - I went there one New Years Eve in fancy dress, everyone gathers in the middle of the bridge for midnight! 😂👍🏻

Nice! I grew up in North Yorkshire and my Dads family were originally from Norway via Scotland (Davison) I used to go to the rallies in Dalby forest in the 1980’s and it was always the Finnish guys like Ari Vatanen who showed everyone how it was done! Amazing how many fantastic drivers have come from Finland - must be something in the water! 😉🚗💨
Seen a few comments on PH about WD Cars. Are they has bad as they're made out to be?
Nope, in my experience they were very keen to make sure they had got the car up to a good standard and that I was happy with it before I bought it. Genuine, straight guys to a man - I had a great experience, that’s the truth
