- Wheeler Dealers star Mike Brewer made me an offer I couldn't refuse - "Come to Italy and buy our Alfa Romeo GTV" he said! This happy accident occurred when I agreed to join my friend Gary on a road trip to visit the Alfaholics headquarters in Somerset and who should we bump into there but Mike and the Wheeler Dealers crew, who were busy filming for their upcoming "Season 27" episode all about a 3.0 V6 Alfa GTV that Brewer had bought for his Wheeler Dealers co-star Elvis to fix up! Follow my exciting journey with Mike and Elvis, from Alfaholics, to Italy and all the way back to the UK, to pick up the restored modern classic Alfa GTV!

Awesome! It was brilliant seeing you on the Box! Ive got a video somewhere of my 2018 visit to Alfaholics open day; I did not know they did parts for more modern Alfas - I wonder if they have bits for my GT?
Hey Henry! I think they sell bits for GTV's and also 75's, Alfettas and so on but not sure about GT's - you'll see what they do on their website
That's my finances, Alfa GTV you purchased 😂😂😂 He loved filming with the wheeler dealers and I met Mike Brewer and his crew they were all lovely. Trevor certainly cried when he saw how good she came out, they did a proper good job. We have carried on the alfa romeo experience as I purchased an Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV line, which I absolutely love 🙏 Merry Christmas and Alfa new year 😅 🎅🎄
Hi Sarah, thanks for watching and commenting! Yes indeed, they did a great job on the car and I have also fitted a new gearbox & limited slip diff which transforms the handling. Hi Chris, After owning nine Alfas and being Alfa less ( Without Alfa for more than eight years) I'm looking forward to viewing and hopefully purchasing a 2004 916 GTV 2.0 TS later this week. After seeing this great and entertaining video, I'm now really excited about getting back into the Alfa fraternity!! So looking forward to next week's post!

It has a super tan/biscuit interior and is finished in silver. I'm also looking at it as an investment as I'm sure the 916 values will increase over the next few years especially when Alfa plan to stop Internal combustion engine production in 2027. What are your thoughts Chris?? @@TheAlfaNut
@markbennett2170 i agree - in fact 916 values are already on the rise! The early models and late models will be worth the most I reckon. I’ve had hybrid electric cars and I binned them and bought a Giulia Quadrifoglio! I think that says it all 😉👍🏻
Watch THE MACMASTER, His Porsche EV has lost more than 60k in two years. And yes, you passed me in that QV Giulia of yours on the M5 south of Bristol a couple of years ago. It has real road presence. Very nice! @@TheAlfaNut
Hey Mark, thanks for commenting - the 2nd hand car market is on the ropes anyway at the moment and EV’s are getting punched right in the face, as consumers have started to realise that they have been duped! Rising road tax, removal of incentives and expensive ‘leccy means only one thing - bombing values! I love my Quad - its the best car I’ve ever owned 😍👍🏻
Finally saw the WD episode, and was interested they did all that work on the inlet pipes, front lower control arms (I assume they replaced both sides??), suspension, and accessory pulley and belt, yet made no mention of checking the timing belt and water pump? Given the car had sat for 2 years, and the replacement engine had done 40,000 miles before that, I would have thought replacement of the timing belt was an absolute must. Here in Oz, we change the belt and water pump every three years/(or 60,000km, whichever comes first) religiously. Would hate to see anything happen due to simple oversight.
Hi John, yeah don’t worry the belt and pulleys & water pump were all changed. They guys did a lot more on the car than was described on the program 😉👍🏻

Aesthetically the basic GTV doesn't tug my rug, the Cup is a little improvement. They remind me too much of a FIAT Coupe 20V.

When was the event with the GTVs held? I have several cars, I'm in every group and I also have a GTV 3.0 but I didn't know anything about it🥲
@alessio-torre Ciao Alessio - ah I see, that car doesn’t belong to me, it was a customer of Alfaholics. The event at Varano was in early May 2023 and an Alfa group from the Parma area were invited I believe.

I have owned a Blue GTV V6 I loved that car! Now in an Alfa 159 1.9 TI diesel which Has its issues but I still love it all the same! What a great episode looking forward to the next instalment!

It's a good thing that the top-secret wheelers dealer's location in Westcott, Aylesbury HP18 0XB was kept under wraps.
Ooh you spoilsport! 😂 Having said that, you try going there and finding it - its hidden away on an old airbase about 2 miles square!

What an amazing experience! I wondered why you would want to buy a half baked, get it through its MOT High Miles GTV but it was obvious they had gone to town on it! Pretty much fully detailed. Did Gary provide the Front Grille and Foglight covers?
Hi David, yes to all that! They spent way more time & money on it than was shown and frankly it was a bargain at £5k! Gary supplied quite a few bits in the end, including the wheels & tyres. To be honest I would have done the show anyway just for the experience and the association with the WD guys. What a nice bunch they are 😎👍🏻

Hi David, no I wasn't looking for a GTV as I already have one (another V6) and also a Spider but it was too good an opportunity to turn down as it is a bit or notoriety for my channel, which hopefully will bring in some new viewers / subscribers!

Great video, One thing could you help me with.... I have an Alfa Romeo 4c coupe (64 plate) and it needs a new windscreen, I have waited over 4 months for Autoglass to get a replacement... Any advice on how to get a new one for her?
Hi Peter, wow nice car - I loved the 4C. If I were you I would ask Jamie Porter the Alfa guy, he tunes and races a 4 C and is very knowledgeable 👍🏻

Got to admit, having watched the WD episode, I was impressed with your acting skills to keep a straight face whilst Elvis and Mike were telling you all about how wonderful the GTV V6 is….did they know that you are an enthusiast, owned at least 2 that I recall seeing, and likely know much more than both of them combined?

Hi Mark - thanks for watching! Haha - it wasn't easy, yes I told them that I had numerous Alfas but you have to remember that the programme is made to the same format each time, so they have to follow the formula! They weren't aware of my Alfa channel either, so didn't know about my Alfa history!
