I'm actually glad she went what she went through with Lucas, and Nathan what he did with the other ladies... it just makes the Nathan and Elizabeth story all the more special, showing how deep the roots of their love have gone. Oh, and how they've grown through the process!
I think Elizabeth chose Lucas out of fear. Nathan has a dangerous job. Elizabeth lost her love, a man with a dangerous job. Lucas is wonderful, and he is safe. I do get it. That makes sense. Personally, I don't think safe is a building block for a forever marriage. The writers will let us know soon enough.

I agree. Elizabeth calling her dress an omen was a huge line. She never had any doubts about Jack even when all the bad things were happening around them.
Wow. I just watched the next-to-last WCTH episode. Did I call it or what? The conversation between Rosemary and Elizabeth echoed my observation that Elizabeth chose Lucas because he was safe. Her hesitation and soul-searching even echoed my sentiments that safe isn't a good building block for a forever marriage. Wonder if they need any more writers for next season? I'm free.😅😅

@@albamater3495no Jack is dead! I love Dan Lissing, but he decided to leave WCTH on his own! I want to see Nathan & Elizabeth's romance continue in S12. Kevin McGarry and Erin Krakow together as Nathan & Elizabeth are very talented & have lots of chemistry for their characters.

I think that as was said by rosemary Jack was her season, Lucas was her reason, and hopefully Nathan is her lifetime love. They have always been giving each other these glances or looks along with the little touches are what show their great chemistry and I also love the natural root of their romance or relationship growth. Allie and Jack get along well and have a amazing bond with each other. Can't wait for season 11 of when calls the heart.
I think the writers are adding a twist to whom Elizabeth really loves. I was mad when the writers chose Lucas over Nathan when Elizabeth was always keeping up with him. She is not all that excited about getting married right now. She had even told Rosemary she should postpone her wedding with all the chaos going on in Hope Valley. Her panic attack when she thought Nathan might be killed when he was kidnapped, the way she looked at Allie & Jack bonding together, the talk she had with Nathan when he came to her house late one night and the way she now looks at Nathan whenever he walks into a room. Now with Lucas running for governor, she is not going to want to move from Hope Valley. I think the writers are now trying to woo back some of the viewers who stopped watching WCTH after Elizabeth chose Lucas. Time will tell
I wanted Nathan also. Lucas turned out ok but in the beginning I thought he was a sneaky bad guy.
Lucas is ok, he seems to have an unlimited source of income but Nathan is her type. If he quit being a mountie he would be perfect for Elizabeth but she would never want him to quit the profession he loves.
I always wanted her to choose Nathan. And I really don’t think the writers would write in another death of a hero Mountie.
They've succeeded. Made the top 100 shows on Variety for the first time ever!! S12, here we come!!

When I see these clips all I can think is "What were the writers thinking to veer so far off course!?" WCTH hasn't been the same since Elizabeth chose Lucas. Don't get me wrong, I love Lucas's character too, just not for Elizabeth.

Out of curiosity, I watched episode 9 of season 10. (And I haven't watched WCTH since season 8 cause honestly it broke my heart to see Nathan beaten down each week.)
Elizabeth's panic attack and her talk with Henry makes me feel.. Well, stunned, confused. When Henry said she should maybe think about her reaction, she was really defensive. If she doesn't have feelings for Nathan, why was she being so defensive? And if it was some PTSD after everything with Jack, why didn't she just say that it reminded her of Jack? Why be defensive and say she was just concerned for a friend?
I really hope the writers aren't screwing with the audience again. Cause honestly what they did in season 8 was cruel. If she's going to pick Lucas, pick Lucas. Marry him, don't drag Nathan into this mess again. He doesn't deserve any of it.

So many were saying it was just ptsd from Jack, but I had the same questions as you. And here we are... she was really worried about Nathan all along. And maybe we'll finally get our happy ending for these two in S11!!!
She was afraid of losing Nathan like she did Jack.She just fell in love with Nathan because he showed her kindness and was concerned about her and he told her that he cared about her and he respected her and never tried to kiss her.

Gorgeous montage of Nathan and Elizabeth! This is the pure love of the little gestures, of the attention and dedication between two people that love and respect each other! This is what WCTH should be... the love story between a Mountie and a Teacher as written by Janette Oke! Not the masquerade the producers and writers transformed it into; luxurious dinners, candlelight and endless kissing not taking in account that the story is supposed to take place in the 1900's and that its' morals should be respected! Since day one, WCTH had all ingredients to be a successful series and I confess not to really understand the drastic change of direction at the end of season 8; above all, all couples in the series are so well chosen for each other, so why this enormous mistake on the main couple? Not smart; not logic!

It is perhaps time to reset your gut and observe closely and carefully the depth of one and the other; on one side you have what a heart can give and on the other side what money can offer! But we shouldn't even be discussing which man suits Elizabeth better as the series is based on Janette Oke's book of the love story of a Mountie and a Teacher! Knowing this, is it a wrong statement to say that producers and writers are completely denaturing the story? I don't think so, at all!

I still think they belong together. I’ve only been tolerating Elizabeth and Lucas being together. I hope there is a plot twist coming up this season and that she ends up with Nathan because she obviously still cares about him and he hasn’t gotten over her.

It was so disappointing when Elizabeth chose Lucas. Nathan being a mountie and the fear associated with that is the only reason that makes sense for that choice. Would so love it if WCTH runs with this a bit. Lucas leans towards a ritzier life where matters of the heart are more important to Elizabeth.
She meant what she said, she can’t do it again and Nathan’s job will place him in danger. I really can’t see her doing that. She told him she loved him… like a brother I would think. She never went to dinner with him, kiss him or do anything romantic.

@@ConnieLatour I don't think Anyone could Believe it was still the Uniform after 4 years of her Being Good Friends with Nathan, Or even Her finding Ghost Jack in Him because they are nothing Alike. I think they have shared Experiences that draw them together, Community service, Books, Single Parenting, Struggles with Loss and Grief, He is the perfect person to understand what she's been through Losing jack as he also Lost his sister, and also he has the connection to Jack that will enable him to Pass on his legacy to Little Jack in a special and Meaningful way. also it would be a great story of Elizabeth finally overcoming Grief and Fear, and embracing love which is one Of Janette Oke's strongest themes in her books, her book Love comes Softly for example, The whole Plot is about a young woman whose Husband Dies and she is forced by circumstances to marry a single dad to look after his daughter and his respectful treatment and understanding of her slowly overcomes her Grief and Anger and she falls in love with him.
Oh buddy! It certainly isn't just the uniform. Nathan is the whole package for Elizabeth. Their chemistry is off the charts. More importantly, their connection as soul mates is undeniable.

Just because Nathan is a mountie doesn't mean he is the same man. Jack was great. Nathan Grant is great too. But Jack and Nathan have different personalities and are different men with different life experiences. The only thing they had in common was being mounties. Do you think all mounties/lawmen are the same? Is Bill the same as Jack and Nathan???!!!!! 😂 The answer is no! Are all people in the military the same???!!!!! Are all governors the same???!!!!! Is governor Lucas Bouchard the same as Governor Balfour???!!!!! 😂 The answer is no. The thing that Jack and Nathan have in common is they have the same core values. ❤

I really hope the writers have realized their mistake and are trying to do right by Elizabeth and Nathan!!! It’s always been the two of them, they had the sparks the chemistry the love everything!! I wanted to request, because I think it would be a really great video, if you could do one on the struggle Elizabeth is currently facing, as she faces these intense memories, flashbacks, and guilt as she moves forward with someone other than Jack and embraces a new life. I adore Lucas, like 10/10 I’d be hunting for a ring to lock him down, but that doesn’t stop me from appreciating Mountie Nathan. 😂 I’m personally Team Lucas, but I’ve heard a rumor that Chris may be leaving the show, in which case I wouldn’t mind Elizabeth and Nathan having a slow burn romance, because I just haven’t seen him having chemistry with Mei or Faith and I think Allie would love to have a “mom.”

Oh Lord, I am here commenting on what makes sense for the storyline, and some of you are acting as if you were Elizabeth and Lucas in love.
I JUST watched the episode the other day with her and Nathan talking about Allie and she says, It's easier to push people away rather than lose them. I immediately thought that maybe this whole time, that's what she's been doing to Nathan. Anywho, wishful thinking her and Lucas will be together.

I feel like Season 8 impacted my confidence in predicting how things will go this season as well. At least we’ll know in three episodes so the suspense won’t last too long… If you’re finding it difficult to hear the dialogue, I have closed captions on all my videos which may be helpful :)

No doubt it thos years final season will be a cliff hanger!!. I was for Lucas. But I seen Elizabeth run in the stable where he keeps his horse and Henry came in and asked if she turned around with the tears and so emotional and saying" I can't go through this again!". I knew something was up and so did Henry. That's why the next day he went to talk to her. But she denied it was nothing more than not wanting to lose a friend. Not with thst kind of emotion!!!
And when Nsthan saw her in her puffy wedding gown he spoke right up and said, " I think you look beautiful!!"

What episodes are the hugs which aren't THE hug seen by lucas from? I've always seen the Fear hug promoted but am wondering about the context of those other hugs? I watch via catchup from UK so can struggle to get some episodes and clips.
The hug outside her house is from Season 9 Episode 10 “Never Say Never”, when Nathan has just told her that he will approve a plea deal which will release Lucas from prison. The hug in the street was in Season 9 Episode 12 “Rock, A Bye, Baby”. Elizabeth hugs hims after he says, “You could do a lot worse than marry Bouchard. Try not to lose him like you lost me.” What he is saying in the clip while she is hugging him is “You better be careful, people are gonna start talking.”
@@summerdayvideos Ah right! I wondere why i hadn't seen much of them I only dipped in and out of season 9 becuase I found it a bit boring... so non-romatic hugs technically but also kinda still flirty in a banter kind of way.
I was team Lucas but the I started to like Nathan too. But personally I think that they both deserve better than Elizabeth. Elizabeth is to wishy-washy and she’s acting like a silly teenager.

Why was Elizabeth, off meeting Nathan, when she supposedly loves Lucas? Elizabeth, showed Lucas, a picture of a castle that was drawn by little Jack, and said who wouldn't wanna live in a castle. Lucas, got quotes to build her a beautiful big house outside of town...but Elizabeth, told Lucas she didn't wanna leave her (and Jack's) home. Lucas, always plays with little Jack, he even read him a bedtime story. Lucas, does everything he possibly can to make Elizabeth, happy! Elizabeth, on SEVERAL occasions was the one that reached for Lucas's, hand to hold. Lucas, has been nothing but a gentleman and in return gets blindsided by Elizabeth's immature ways. So, so disappointed in her shameless behavior! I don't know what the writers are thinking or should I say aren't thinking???
I think in the way Elizabeth loves Nathan more because she reminds him of Jack and because he gets her more than anyone else has ever done and I’ve ever have kids so it’s super cute also they both got hurt by the people I love but you know people will still guess that they might be together the weather last episode was maybe but I still choose the Raiders might pull something up again like we did before

I have watched WCTH since the pilot episode. It has been one of my favorite show since its conception; but this season has been a HUGE disappointment. When the triangle began, I thought that E would choose N. As the story progressed, I began to see that they had sparks flying between E and L. I really didn't care which one she chose. It was a good story either way. Once she made her choice, they had such beautiful scenes eith E, L, and Little Jack. I thought that it was a great story. However, this flip flop is ridiculous. I don't understand why they took the story in this direction. Does Chris McNally want to be written out of the series? Did they feel that they lost too many viewers becsuse E chose L? Whatever the reason, I think that they are going to lose viewers with this latest flip flop. The other storylines this season haven't been very good either. After last season, I couldn't wait for this season. Now I really couldn't care less!!!
I think they've said Chris is not leaving but The theory I have is that he didn't want to be as big a character any more so he could have time for Family and Other Projects If Lucas Married Elizabeth the would have to Make his Role one of the Biggest in the show or it would look like it wasn't an equal match, and Chris seems to prefer the roles that leave him Family time, maybe He didn't want to commit to that Larger role.

Summer, would you consider doing a video about Elizbeth seemingly thinking about Jack alot this season as she approaches her wedding to Lucas, maybe even looking at some parallels or throwbacks? It may even be better once the season ends but I feel like it would be a great idea for this season. I find myself thinking quite a bit about Jack myself.
I think that’s a great idea. I would love to make a video now we’ve got all the new scenes. I agree it will be best to wait until the end of the season, but I will probably make a video about them then :)

@summerdayvideos To clarify, I think you could parallel J&E in the past with L&E present and then obviously the fact that she's thinking of Jack now as she approaches remarriage and, also with LJ's questions. I think a lot of connections could be made. I am sure whatever you do would be great.

This is a nice video, but I don't think they're trying to keep the triangle going. I think Elizabeth was being truthful when she told Nathan that she loved him, but wasn't 'in Love' with him. She loves with her whole heart...she loves everyone in HV, even Henry. When Nathan looks at Elizabeth, you can see he cares about her, but he looks lovingly at Faith & Mei, too. I think there's still something bothering him from his past that I believe will be shown soon. Elizabeth loved Jack & will always have a place for him in her heart, but she's found she can love again & that's with Lucas. Give it time, good things will be coming for Nathan. Even Kevin McGarry said he likes what will be coming for Nathan. Around Season 7, I read that Mrs Oakes said the stories in her books were about a teacher, a Mountie & a saloon owner & she liked the stories from Hallmark. I, myself, still Love WCTH.
Which one of Janette Oke's books had a saloon owner in it? I think I've read all of hers & don't remember a saloon owner.
I love WCTH too & Im sure we will see L marry E.but if not I will still watch cause I love Lucas sooo much.Chris plays the role of Lucas so well which is a very good man who loves E with all his heart & soul.
