This video would be better if the umpires were labeled as U1, U2, U3 and PU. That way, when they rotate, it's easier to see who is covering what and it's clear where that umpire came from. Having all umpires labeled simply as "U," makes it confusing when everybody is rotating.
One thing I’ve noticed about the video about OF coverage is that it only mentions that the 1st and 3rd Base Umpires only have coverage to their respective lines. It’s not wrong, they just also have the fly balls that’s go past their lines. Also with R3 only, the HP always stays home regardless of outs. If U2 or U3 go out, U1 will slide into the infield
at 1:52 the second base umpire is advised to stay on the outside. Its better to be the outside of the bag to take that play because using the wedge theory of taking tag plays that's the best place to be. With what you mentioned though U2 sees that U1 goes out he should immediately look at the PU and see if he is covering first if he is then no need to come inside at all. If the PU forgets to cover first then U2 needs to pick that up early and come inside to fill the hole.
I have my first 4 man game tomorrow. Thanks for the breakdown. I've done 2 and 3 man systems.
This looks like a lot to remember but its very simple. And very relatable to cutoffs when playing. A little different but relatable.

It is from the "Virtual Umpire Camp" from PBUC & MiLB a few years ago. Great program if one can find it now.
Very good Video!!
