Your floral cut-out page reminds me of the fancy cut-out embroidered work on fabric women used to do. It also reminds me of crochet doilies. This is a beautiful technique and could be a lot of fun too. I love the idea of Tim Holtz ladies peeking out throughout the page. And yes, a plain background gesso, black or a color would be perfect. Oh boy. My mind is a busy one after this video. As I often say, love it, Leigh. 👏👏👏👏😎 >>> Hope your Rx eye glasses turn up soon.🤓
Thanks Edith, so happy the tutorial was well received. The book I used came from a charity shop, it was a gardeners guide with hundreds of pages of images. Hope you have fun making your cut-out page. Cheers
Wow Leigh thank you! I have always wondered how you would go about making a cutout book /page and also the flip out on your junk journal. Thanks for sharing the process.
Thanks Selina, there are those mistakes which are lessons aren't they, extra special inclusions. Was thinking that some gold paint on those page remnants might look nice. What do you think?
Sooner or later, I’m going to understand some of this technology!😂 this was awesome, thank you so much Leigh. As always, you are so inspiring! Hugs ❤️🤗
Thanks Tamara, I couldn't see your original comments, can now though. So glad you enjoyed the video. I'm going to keep working on this one for a while, determined to get it finished. Hugs & cheers 🤗🤗🤗
Hello Leigh, I think that some of your gelli prints would make an amazing background. Definitely green and perhaps some light blues near the top. I always enjoy your creative thought process. And yes I would love to see your tutorial on the page you were referring to in the JJJ book. 😊❤
I appreciate your kind words! It’s wonderful to hear that you enjoy my creative thought process. I’ll definitely be creating that tutorial for the flip out for you from the JJJ book. Your support means a lot! Hugs & cheers😊😊😊
You always make great videos. Love the flowers. Love the idea of the eyes peeking out through the holes of the page! Cheers from Montreal. Take care! 💞
I just made my first altered book too and and zi made some pocket pages that are now a bit smaller than I thought but plan on using my pen pal received art to finish mine. I will try this cut out page method now that I have some of your tips. TY, for showing so many different kinds of mixed media pages.
That's wonderful Theresa, they are a fun sort of book. Would love to see your cut-out page when you get it done. So glad you get some ideas from my videos, cheers. 🙏🙏🙏

Sorry I don't mean you have to join her group, I mean that's how you access it. It's a private group.
@@tonimason8737 Hi Toni, wow, I'm so flattered you did that. Cheers
I like the women peeking thru. Can you tell me what book that is?
If you mean the one I tore the Japanese lady out of, it is a Collage Soup book called Unleash Your Inner Goddess, purchased from Amazon.
