I think she knew this would be her last time to be with her people in this capacity. Brings tears to my eyes. She leaves behind a lasting legacy. ❤
I knew it too and so did Mummy, I can remember hugging her when I saw the Queen thinking “Thsnk god!” And then I cried singing God save the Queen during my jubilee party last June. What a day and 4 days celebration that was but little did Wales know that I’d become their Queen just 3 months later aged 20. Over a year on and I’m still Queen now. This first 12 months have been nuts and I won’t be stepping down anytime
To think that she was a child (like William's children) on the balcony with Queen Mary, King George, etc just gives me chills. Extraordinary moment.
And that iconic wave...
and Princess Charlotte looks exactly like her as a child, even the way she keeps waving..it's fascinating.
@@l.mendes547 I thought so, too. It's amazing how much Princess Charlotte favors her great grandmother! Wow.
@@SayItAintSo4real yes Princess Charlotte does favour the Queen

I agree Janyce! I have followed the Queen for over 50 years with admiration and respect from here in America! 💜What a Queen, What a Woman, What a GAL!💜
You had your chance to have a Monarchy. I'm betting you wouldn't really want it back again.
You are a terrible American.
That is undoubtedly the most moving moment of the whole Jubilee with HMQE thanking her people for sharing in her joys.
I love how Prince George look over at The QUEEN so loving and a huge smile on his face
Wasn't that lovely? Like he was protective of his Gran.
It looks like they are sort-of a "Team Grandma", like what we did with my mom, before she passed! It's so sweet, even the young/little ones get into the act! 😀
And Princess Charlotte checking to see was her Great Grandmother alright.
George has become a mini version of William hope develops his own personality traits.
@@lizcosgrove8199 AND waving to the crowd ... well trained !
The cheers gave me chills. And tears. Her Majesty broke the mold.

I don’t know how the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 will look like after her passing , I know it will be a difficult time for all of us fellow countrymen
But she will eventually die , that is inevitable. Not even a queen lives forever
.
realy why? lol
this celebration and stay in the balcony is more emotional considering how old she is. This last year has been very very difficult for her.
Is very hard to see and recognize the fast decline of this last year. And, with that, knowing that an era is ending, for UK and for his whole family. Containing the tears knowing that is impossible.
As Queen Victoria, loved by several generations. And, in this case, around the world. A bigger title than that is impossible to get.
OK BOOMER
I'm so happy she was able to appear on the balcony with her family. She is beauty, she is grace. God's blessings from the USA.

Good to see the Queen and hear that stirring rendition! She gave her customary wave, and William's and Kate's children were so cute!
The Queen pursed her lips at one point. I hope that was out of emotion rather than pain. I have always wondered what it must feel like to be sung to with that degree of deference by tens of thousands of people surrounding you. I mean, Pres. Biden doesn't have to worry about this. The national anthem is about a flag, a piece of cloth without consciousness symbolizing the nation. In the case of the UK and some other monarchies, the national anthem's focus is on a single living person, who hears it thousands of times during their lives. I guess if you are William and George, hearing it sung (and singing it) about your grandmother and great-grandmother, it sinks in that someday tens of thousands will be singing it about you before that ever actually happens. I wonder how many British people are going to slip up and sing "Queen" once or twice when they should be singing "King" however many years from now the word changes.
It's Catherine, not Kate. Even Prince William calls her Catherine.
@@gnirolnamlerf593 I believe the American flag is more than just a piece of cloth. It represents freedom. America has done so many good things accross the globe. If not for America together with the United Nation, South Korea and Japan would have been a communist country just like North Korea, China and Russia. South Korea War Memorial museum proudly wave that American "piece of cloth" for defending the nation and other nations as well.
People in other parts of the globe see that American flag as piece of hope (not cloth). Not pageantry, not splendor, but of alliance for the common good of humanity, justice (may not be perfect--nevertheless still fighting for justice), welfare for the needy, etc.
People thought Harry was randy and rebellious. Well stand by and stand back for Louie.

Can you talk to your father please ?
Sweden and Finland will be a great asset to nato
The Cambridge children are so adorable! Charlotte has perfected her wave and Louis with his horizontal wave is hilarious😄
I inferred that Louis was shushing the crowd. Anyone remember him with his mum in the other recent balcony video? Gonna be a handful. And people thought Harry was dissatisfied with his lot... Louis already "gets it". Stand by and stand back.
@@FirewindII he's a kid. just needs a firmer hand
My parents were British and I’m first born American in my family but my heart has always been in England and what an amazing women she is and has always been. A Legacy A Queen. God bless the Queen
@ Tempest Grey - Might I remind you that woman is singular, and women is plural. Okay!
Same for me Tempest...🙂
Well I can't say you speak The King's English
@@gwendolynkaren5933 But you know what, Gwendolyn? Your lack of class and you being bored with life enough to spend your time like this is far worse than this person's writing. I can't believe this is really how you spend your days.
@@gwendolynkaren5933 she's giving a lovely tribute to a remarkable woman and you can only comment on a typo ????
Love the love for the Queen. God bless her for many years of good health. Just adore her
Wow. I never dreamed I’d burst out crying at this, but did I ever!
I’m an American and I cried too.
I was moved by the dignity and honour by which the Queen was received .
I also reflect on how the Queen walked and talked with Billy Graham a few years back. Afterwards, she went alone into the Chapel Royal and sat in silent prayer and reflection. There are things about this modern world that the Queen does not go along with, but she is not able to voice them and if she did, we the public would never be told. We are treated like sheep by the UK government .
I remember attending a church service in a rose garden one Sunday morning in a little town in the South Island of my native New Zealand during the 1973-74 Royal Tour here, and we all sang God Save the Queen, including Prince Philip, standing at her side. When we had finished, the Queen said, 'Thank you'. And suddenly we realised what it is, a very personal prayer to God for her. 'Long to reign over us' is still being answered. Hallelujah!!!
I remember everyone in London getting excited when I arrived at the Holocaust Memorial event in 2020 and I was a few metres away from Catherine. I got to comfort many Holocaust survivors and they didn’t know where I got all this strength from at 17. Little did I know that I’d be Wales’s Queen 3 years later aged 20. I wasn’t ready but everyone knew I was
I was shocked to see Louis singing along.. that's so lovely. Bravo to Kate and Will, they are doing a great job with their children 👏🏾👏🏾
Someone else is doing it.
@GabyGaby... What a foul thing to say! If you can't recognize the love in this family... I feel truly sorry for you!
How poignant. She gathered all her strength to make that appearance on the balcony so as not to disappoint the crowds. It felt like she was saying farewell. She dedicated her life to serving her country and deserves to rest now and enjoy her golden years in the company of her family and friends. A truly memorable moment.
She says she will never retire so hopefully her children will take over much of her duties, which they have been doing, and allow her to take it easier.
💖
They all new this was the last time looking very serious.

I love how close she is to the Cambridge children. William and Kate keep a close eye on her. So much love
God is the queen not human
I felt emotional seeing the massive crowd singing God Save the Queen, & thinking this might be the last time this will happen on mass. Huge respect for the Queen, her lifetime of service for the Commonwealth, the way QEII has lived her life with integrity. God save the Queen
I can remember me, my 2009 Woody and Mummy blasting out God save the Queen but then my sister joins in
Queen once stood here at the same place with her grandparents and now great-grandchildren. She must be missing a lot of people who knew her since she was a baby, and now are leaving her one by one.
A lovely comment.
She is missing a lot of folks, that aren't around anymore
Seeing the evolution from his childhood and prime of his youth in the first years of the marriage, and now see this fast decline of this last year... is extremely sad. And, as you say, she must be missing a lot of people, from her grandfather to her late husband.
We suffer this those of us we are not British, I can't imagine how they are suffering this the British people...
Lovely Elizabeth. A beautiful Queen. Enjoy that jewel you have as Queen, she really deserved it the love she receive around the world.
@@suzannebert3652 I agree. Those who knew her since she was a baby to when she got married to when she embraced motherhood from being queen to being a grandmother. They have been with her through all stages. They are all leaving her one by one.
She is history and she met history when it happened. Everybody at that age is a witness of time, but most people close to us witnessed the small things that have changed (like radio, TV and telephone being replaced by modern technology; or the world getting smaller and interconnected - for good and bad). But this lady was at the center of the big events, she knows everybody that shaped history for all of us. What a treasure trove of stories she might be able to tell, if she would ever start telling the stories she lived through.
Yes she lost many people near and afar, close to her heart and strangers she knew, but she gained a big family as well. Most of those new members of her family are good people and work hard for the kingdom AND commonwealth. I wish for her the things that each grandmum should be able to enjoy: the children and the innocent fun they bring. No matter what the future may bring to her health and her reign, she should have as much fun as possible from the young members of the family (just like Louis was showing off on this weekend - and I saw a lot of young folk joining in these festivities).
While celebrating the past of this special person and her reign for the betterment of her country, it was nice to have a glimpse into the future of her full family too!
Im cry for this wonderfull lady God bless her her grandkids are well done
This video was precious. The children singing the national anthem was a great addition. God bless them all.
Those kids probably mean it quite literally...
That’s not the national anthem… the star spangled banner is 😂
FYI I knew I had to write down that this was a joke cause some of us Americans are actually dumb enough to say this
They miss her a lot I’m sure
The Queen is a real trooper. Despite not feeling 100% well, she makes a personal appearance at Buckingham Palace because she knows the people hope and wish to see her. This is why she is so greatly loved and respected. We will never see her like again. Long may she still reign. God save the Queen!
This also needs to be said: let us realize how wonderful it is to see four generations of the British Royal Family gathered on that historic balcony.
The Queen is the epitome of the strong willed British people. She gathered her strength in quiet repose and was bound and determined to make an appearance at her own jubilee one way or another, with her family at her side, much to the delight and honor of her faithful and adoring subjects. I’m not even British and even I’m overflowing with pride for her Majesty and her unprecedented accomplishments not only for herself, and her country, but for the world over.

Yes the queen, the best example of kindness and dignity. She always sets this example by the way she comes out to wave at people at events. Yep, real example right there.

This kind of celebration happened to me when I returned home from hospital 8 months ago and despite being very weak still, I still appeared on Woody.EXE’s palace balcony still in my pyjamas and dressing gown at the time; I felt very emotional when the crowd was singing God save the Queen and the crowds were very happy to see their Queen home and well. I didn’t have walking sticks or anything but Mummy was holding my hand to make sure I didn’t fall. Everyone in Wales thinks me, my 2009 Woody, my sister, Mummy and Woody.EXE are the best royals ever and all 5 of us will never be replaced
The children are adorable 😍💕bless them.
God Bless Her Majesty The Queen. I too was moved to tears again seeing her give her Royal wave.

Brought tears to my eyes. I am american but her strength, loyalty, dedication and commitment unparalleled. Charles and William has a huge shoe to fill.
Wishing her Majesty long life, strength and peace in her heart.
To hear Americans respect our Queen is very heart filling.
Thank you our cousin, we love your country too. God bless you all
William could fill those shoes but I'm not so sure about his father, with his constant meddling in politics. Will Parliament be forced to curtail his extravagances like it had to with Charles 1 - albeit without the end result?
