Hi there, thanks a lot for the video, I am new in SuiteCRM and trying to configure it, so it helps a lot. I still have some issues because our accounts are gmail. But it was great to learn "How To". In other things i saw in your dashboard you do not use the custom fields like: opportunites, accounts, etc. and is more like a ticket system. Does it work allright? We are setting only leads because we do not use all other stuff. Is it allright? (sorry for the bad english) greets :)
You need to generate and use an App Password in gmail/gsuite to use SMTP.
I thought Port 465 was is recommended not to use anymore? Can we use port 587?
Thanks for your question. Which port your emai server uses it what you need. You can use any port you like, that's not goverend by SutieCRM, it could be 999, it doesn't matter from SuiteCRM's perspective. It's whatever port your webserver has open and allows for email communication. Contact your hosting provider for the correct settings for your web hosting/email.
