- Heres my thoughts on the Yamaha MT-07 after owning it for 4 months... This video ended up being ALL OVER THE PLACE LOL Basically I had 2 plans for the video and ended up switching plan after the intro so things got messy but ITS ALL GOOD! I went through the strengths and weaknesses of this bike so highlighting things I like and dislike while trying to stay different to every other motovlog channel🙃 WE GOT BANGERS LOADING!!! Hi, good vid! What exhaust are you running and is it legal in the UK (without having to swap stuff in and out)? I am getting a 2023 this year and everyone seems to suggest a exhaust swap. Looking at the black widows, but there is a lot of options!
Akra carbon, not street legal but a lot of people run it 👊
If you want tripe numbers on the bike... the stock subspention will not do, spacers need shortened or YSS upgrade needed. Also in corners stock SUCKS ass bounces all over the shop pogo for days.

You can change the insert length in your front forks and it will take care of that soft suspension
Yeh I looked into this thinking about getting it done in couple months!
Heavier fork oil does a way better job and you don't have to cut shit. Better springs aren't too expensive either.
Bro if you want to a cheap fix to your front forks drain and add a quality higher weight fork fluid it will help a lot.

How tall are you? Im 6' tall and i like the MT07 but just feel the leg room is a little cramped. Bike runs great but im old guy who would just be looking to do a little light touring on it. May go for the Tenere 700 but it kinda top heavy.
5,10 👊 you shouldn’t have a problem with the 07 at all, but I love the T7s!!! Haha that would be a good choice for touring 💯

Picked one up yesterday. boy, seeing it in person just gives you perspective. its bigger than I thought and the stock exhaust to me doesn't sound all too bad, I will upgrade it as soon as I can get the money for it.
Hooligan behaviour is true. first gear pulls are hard af for what I'm used to. I love it. Won't be wheeling any time soon.
I'm a smaller guy, 5'10 and 69 kilos (nice). The bike is heavier than I expected, more excuse for me to hit the gym to get stronger and put more mass on.
Otherwise this is a great bike. I can see myself keeping it for a long time.
Yeh you don’t expect it to be as big a bike as it is haha but at the same time it’s a perfect size and your get used to the weight! It’s light in comparison to other bikes
And yeh that exhaust upgrade is worth it haha
And your wheelie soon as you pin it and shift from first to second with clutch while pinning it tell me the front doesn’t levitate! Haha

@@TARZANMotoVlogs when I first saw it I did laugh, but thought you could see enough through to see your speed. My dash is a nightmare not only is the speed crystal clear but it also puts the road speed next to it!! Can’t even blag it’s a 70mph road when it shows the true speed.

I’m debating between mt 07 and the husqvarna 701 sm and advice on what’s the better bike?
701 ALL DAY! MT-07 will be more practical for daily use but 701 is in a completely different lane cant even compare the 2 really
I thought that it would just be like a lighter mt07 but naaaaaaaa its completely different
The 701 is awesome but it's a bit more expensive and less comfortable on long rides, having a slim seat and all but it all. Depends on what kind of ride you want.
My 07 all day long and you never go wrong
I hope 2 years later you at least ride w gloves lad, ride safe.

Hey man i was wondering what is the fuel consumption that you get on the bike, with that kind of riding (day to day use). I am asking this cause i am plannin on getting one in the future and maybe doing food delivery sometimes on it😂.

Perfect first bike! Comfortable, easy to ride, upright, plenty of power for the streets
I would recommend getting it restricted for at least the first month or 2 of riding because it’s torquey as 🦆!!!!

Check the comment you left on the other video I tried my best to explain it 👊 basically all comes down to riding style and preference, where you will be spending most your time on the bike, that is how you will have most fun and get the most out of it

I currently ride a 250 supermoto, live in Chicago suburb. hooligan to the max wheeling that supermoto all the time. So from what you said I think im leaning towards the Mt-07. Im just worried I wont be able to keep up with my buddies on their r6's ect when on the highway. Thats really the only reason I wanted to go 636.
@@GamingForSurvivalyeh it will be tough to keep up if they are pinning it on the highway haha but the mt can handle highway speeds easy just not supersport speeds, you will get away from the line just as fast and will reach 100mph pretty quick it depends what speeds your friends are doing
if they fly off then youl catch them up, when your cruising through town or a city just chillin they will all be bored cause the supers will be sleeping especially 600s and on an mt your be brapping about like your on a big supermoto haha its tough to help anymore its just what you prefer and where you will spend most time on the roads - thanks for subbing i saw your reply on the other comment! Bruv how many kms you got? I’m swapping my husky te125 custom built motard for a 2015 one apparently it has 22,500kms but the speedo played up and now he put a speedo with 50,000kms at 20,500 kms so he put 2,000kms on it bro what else do I need to look for to make sure the bikes not a lemon cause if it’s a lemon I’ll take my bike off him and keep his bike!
This one had like 8k when I bought it, probably 14k when I sold it
Check if there’s service history so you can see if it’s been kept on top of for at least each major service so far
Check fork seals
Listen to the engine make sure it sounds normal
Check oil level and coolant and brake fluid reservoir
There’s some good videos on RUclips of what to look for when buying used but there’s always a risk if you buying private
Always safest buying used bikes from a dealership cause they give you warranty etc

Can clean it the fork seal boot is ripped other than that the bike has had a tube etc the bike has abit of blemishes from tank etc but can clean thay

How would you compare the pull on the mt07 compared to say a 350 dirt bike?
I have never been on a dirt bike
The mt is a parallel twin so the power is pretty instant then it dies up top soo as over 100mph

The 701 is more torquey probably cause it’s 40kg lighter and a single but the mt is a great bike and faster mid range probably

Some Berik ones wouldn’t recommend tho there only really good for supermotos cause the toe area is so chunky
When I was on my MT07 I had to adjust the shifter to the top
Test riding other bikes been long aswell like the mt09 ducati monster etc always gotta flick it up with the side of the boot cause not about to start busting out the tools and adjusting other people’s bikes haha
I would always recommend the dainese flo yellow or rst Flo yellow for a budget version
I had the rst tractech Evo 3 boots and they were sooooooo much better than these, I know someone who got the dainese boots aswell and they look amazing in person and just look so much better functional wise
