Fun fact guys. This is slower than the previous M5. I think the previous M5 did 0-60mph in around 3.2 seconds (claimed by BMW). However the 2025 M5 does it in about 3.5 seconds. Also there will not be a M5 Competition model. Rip. Also, this is about 500kg (1,000+ pounds) heavier than the previous m5.

It recorded 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds in Car & Driver test. BMW website claims 3.5 seconds.

F90 looked generic in base. Competition looked better because of wheels. CS looked great. Very disappointed with last gen regular 5 series. This one looks much more interesting and substantive. New M5 is a beast.

I'll keep my 1987 M5. Cars nowadays are far too complicated with all the electronic stuff to help the driver. And a hybrid? Typically awesome craftsmanship and attention to detail but the newer features are simply detracting from it being the Ultimate Driving Machine in many respects. My "87 is a jewel of a car. Only 40 thousand miles too. It still gives the sensation of the driver being in total control these newer cars irrespective of manufacturer want the car to do too much for the driver.
