Nice edition to the Farm Erik 👍. The metal wire loom inside the fuel hose , nice to see some commercial durability built into some homestead products 🏆
Good plan Eric.. I just bought a new truck.. But with the price of diesel and the possibilities of shortages I got a gasoline engine But I figured at 70 now I won't need it for 20 years or 200,000 miles this time..
Does it seem heavy enough to carry around in the back of a pickup truck or is it very thin like paper I am thinking for long hunting trips and the boat?
I have an old gas powered F-250 farm truck that has two fuel tanks. Im assuming that with the style of pump on this caddy, I could siphon from one of the trucks fuel tanks to fill the caddy. Correct?
It seems that you made this video about a year ago and I’m wondering how the tank has held up and the pump. Also, any other recommendations would be appreciated
I just ordered one of these and the hand pump for the 55 gallon barrel of used engine oil. So that I can make the black diesel for five diesels .two Mercedes sedans Peugeot station wagon Peugeot sedan, and an Audi Coupe. I think black diesel has the longest shelf life of any fuel.
Frank, I had the same problem with other videos over this last few days.. I just clicked on the video screen or hit the F5 refresh button and they played.. YT is getting a bit sloppy with there set up of late..
Not at my age! I just used it to fill up our diesel tank I had to transfer the fuel from this to the larger tank before I could get it off. If you have a loader, you could strap it to that and lower it off the truck, but that just seems dangerous.
@@FarpointFarms another video scoped the 35 gallon, it looked clean and a bit of an odd grey color to it, i assume 201 stainless is a low grade stainless, i haven't youtubed 201 stainless yet. but, i got one, i'm tired of going to the gas station
That seems to be the issue. While this unit can pump gas, it's made for oil and diesel. Both of those lubricate the pump. Gas on the other hand has no lubricant in it and causes pump failure rapidly. They cover it in the manual, but no one ever reads those. It says to pre line the pump with motor oil before and after transferring gas.
The hand crank pump is absolutely junk. Get yourself a 12 volt pump With a regular hose and hydrant at the end. I guarantee you will be throwing that hand crank pump in the trash can

You too
Follow up? Is it leaking? Did the hose deteriorate, is the hand pump still pumping and leak free? Thank you in advance for the follow up. Good video.
No leaks, hose is OK, and the pump isn't great. I've been planning a spring upgrade to an electric pump. Still feel like it was worth it overall.
All pumps nowadays not worth the crap… win some lose some.
Happy Thanksgiving
Same to you!

Yes. It will suck as well as pump.

So far it has done great- I have taken it a few times in the back of my truck to the gas station. No issues

Watched it all ready try to like it but said not allowed?? The second time around it allows me to like I do enjoy all your videos 👍

How possible would it be to take this down from your pickup truck bed after filling it with gas?

Nice! Big enough to wheel through the dirt
So how would someone fill this? Do you put it in the back of a pickup or on a trailer and fill at a station?
I would put it in the back of the truck and fill it at the station. Too heavy when full to drop down- I would use a ramp to get it down and in place
@@FarpointFarms thx
is it really stainless steel inside the tank?
I am assuming so- that is how it is listed

Amazon reviews are not good. You need to use this gas dispenser for awhile and then do a review.

we did get a 12v pump- I did not want to deal with the pump if it failed
Hey Folks,
How would I fill this up at the station and transport back home? Have an SUV. No pick-up. Unfortunately. Any suggestions? Stay safe all!
@@FarpointFarms Also the new type fuel we have the ethanol type gasoline will eat up the vanes on the hand type pump
