  • Wednesday! This is our third day on our on-going Number 2 Pencil Week! Today we try, emphasis on TRY to embrace the softer side of my heavy handed touch. In today's vid we discuss how we can learn to adopt simple aspects present in the works of fantastic draughtspeople and incorporate them in our work in order to aid us with our own attempts. Lipstick on a pig!!!
Donations to ourpaintedlives.com of $20 or more will automatically enter you into a monthly raffle of a special daily painting all throughout 2021.

Every month, all throughout 2021, among the people that support us by purchasing our daily paintings, we will raffle a painting that I will be working on throughout the month. So if you buy a painting you automatically have a chance to get another one for free! Win/win!

Nice! Happy for you! Honestly I think the daily paintings are of a higher value than what they’re priced. How do you feel about the pricing? Even if he’s “kinda spitting them out”, there’s a lot of work, material, and accumulated expertise going into them. As well as the undeniable artistic precision always present.. I guess it’s a kind of statement, making art accessible etc. But many of these paintings and drawings I’m finding quite the gems. I wouldn’t frown on a price increase. Like 350 would still be accessible, but I’d feel like I supported him more if I bought a painting. Perhaps living costs are very low where he lives, but still.. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Omg such wonderful wisdom in this video. I idolized an old professor of mine and his masterful draftsmanship. He was naturally mathematically inclined to a degree my brain cannot immediately grasp. I can’t even try to fake doing what he can do. I realize I cannot replicate his hand, but I can connect and respect his work. It teaches me so much…….I try not to let it get me down all the time LOL 😭✨

Usually, both paintings and drawings, they all take around the same time, give or take 4- 5 hrs

    LOVED this until...
I realized you were selecting stupid pronouns! "Draftperson?" "DraftPeople?" Why?
