Shooting my Leica Mini for the First Time

- I took my new to me Leica Mini to the Smoky Mountains to run a couple rolls through it for the first time. I've been looking for a trustworthy point and shoot to keep in my pocket 24/7 and I think I've finally found the one. For the record - this is not a gear review. I don’t plan on doing gear reviews. This is just shooting the camera and showing the photos.

Pretty incredible that a point and shoot is producing those kinds of images
Great stuff man. I really need to get up that way. Been about two years since I was in the Smokies. That's always my favorite thing about the drive to Nashville.
Great images! Found you through your post on Restore From Backup’s FB page.
best video I've ever seen!!!!! - Landon Adzima
2 thumbs up for the smokies 👍👍 and for that ending film montage
So beautiful. Great shots
A lot of fun with that little camera. I live in Middle TN and we get up to the cove once a year...took my 1953 Voigtlander Perkeo II med format this last Fall. Took images of the cabins. It was so much fun shooting that folder camera.
Randy Pollock fall is one of my favorite times of the year there. How were the crowds?
@@lucaswiman8945 We go super early, normally around 7am and we will do two loops at least...that's the time to go...we did go on a Friday before we left around 2pm and that was laughable...bumper to bumper with no one getting out of their cars. We will never do that again. But I will say the last two years we have almost enjoyed Roaring Fork Motor Trail just as much as CC. We have definitely seen more wildlife on that trail than CC. I normally shoot FujiFilm cameras but this last year I have gotten that Voighlander, an Olympus OM-2n, and just recently the Texas Lecia Fuji 6x9 (haven't shot it yet though)
Randy Pollock my fuji 6x9 is my favorite camera I own. Will never get rid of it. Cades is definitely a place to hit for sunrise, but even then the traffic can be bad. I usually try and go during the week. Roaring fork is a great spot too! Ely’s Mill, at the end of the drive is a place I do 30-40 wedding/elopement gigs a year at so I am extremely familiar with that area. It’s brutal doing cades when everyone stops to take a picture of a squirrel 😅
@@lucaswiman8945 Don't want to tie you up reading comments...but we love the water at roaring forks and this past Oct we saw five different bears on that trail. We are looking forward to seeing the Tunnel redone going to CC. What film do you like to shoot in your 6x9? Where can I see your images with it
Randy Pollock I shoot a lot of portra 160 and ektar 100 in my 6x9. You can find a lot of the work on Instagram - @lvcaswiman!
Those sunset shots are killer!
Christian Hardin thanks a ton 🙏🏼
I shoot really fast street photography, do you think this nice camera would slow me down while focusing? Is the flash turned on, or you need to turn it off every time you turn the camera on? Thanks
lovely colors on the leica!
Great work, man! Hyatt Lane is always great!
Nic Goodridge it’s such a unique place to the smokies. Can’t get enough of hyatt
Man that shot at 3:51 NICE! Did you film the video on your iphone?

does your leica mini make clicking noise when transport the film to the next frame?
Strobo I think maybe a little bit of sound when it advances, but not 100% sure. I’ll check and get back with you though!
