Outstanding. I think all of us are curious and wishing we could have seen the building when it was running full bore. Having Jim and Joker on this tour are like having museum docents. The St Pauls Baptist Church continues their inspired work (nice old photo glimpse at 12:45, they even have a Facebook page). It's unfortunate that solid reporting and good coverage newspapers, like the Gary Post Tribune, are mostly dinosaurs. The 1980's competition from cable news channels began the downfall. The nails in the coffin are the present internet and libelous social media sites. For those of us that lived with the newspaper, it added a lot to our lives. I miss getting the coupons for nearby restaurants for their discounts on slow nights like Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Mostly though, I miss the paper detailing about neighborhood happenings and little things like school graduations, leagues in bowling or softball, and recognitions about neighbors.

    GREAT CREW!!!!
Happy to see everyone of you gentlemen all together!
It would be pretty cool to be able to put a face to ALL of our subscriber's pseudonyms!!!
That must feel a little strange to see a place, many years later, where you used to frequent or where you used to work.🤷‍♀️
Even though Eddie is young, he will be thankful some day when he can look back after seeing all these important places to us "older" folks and say, "I saw where my family grew up". And will be able to appreciate it, as we do now.
    And the the circle continues...💞
This is a GREAT EXPLORE guys!
I Never get tired of seeing these places more than once or even more than twice! I love what you guys do.
Thank you for exploring these once every day places for all of us to take a peek into our past. It is OUR history!
You are making history come alive for so many thankful subscribers.
You are all VERY MUCH appreciated!

I remember my mother said they used to get the morning and evening paper. Now it is just in the morning or you have the option to read it online. Watching this made me think about how times have changed over the years. Amazing video. I have learned a few new things by watching Suburban Sleuth. Stay warm everyone.

I know the weather there has been horrible, Thank you for freezing for our pleasure, I took a tour of that building in 1967 and it was huge and very interesting.

21:24 Those steel "E" plates look like the core of a transformer. Looks like someone stripped the copper out and left the steel.

All of you white guys with beards, hats, and cash on hand look alike so the
intros and chan mentions helped a bunch! 😂 Hell, due to effectiveness
of his non-urban camo, Joker remained completely invisible except for
the name tags printed on his jacket! 😅 Jokes aside, awesome
exploration. Having the former driver along to share some history
helped the narrative along, plus you knew your way around the place
    well. 😷👍

@David Haun, glad you enjoyed a chuckle! Seems that my sense of humor either went over most people's heads or, well, I'd rather not entertain the alternative notion. ;-)

@David Haun, yep! Wouldn't have made it this far in life without laughing at my own ridiculousness at times! :-)
