Go after 00:00 and you can knock out all houses within 0 to 15 mins max per house! Go early or go late but never try to queue any house between 20:00 and 00:00. You will wait for nothing! And if you do Stay and Scream, look which house you wanna do first and then go to the nearest holding place for those. Look at the park maps they give out at the entrance with all HHN info. I went there around the same weeks/days as you (not 13th of oct. we were heading back home then), and did all houses with no to max 15 mins. Ghostbusters and Stranger Things even a walk on after 01:00. Oh and never ever trust the times, if it says 35 mins after midnight it's always less. Hope you have a better experience next time, although I think last year's scare zones were better I liked a majority of the houses this year better.
We so agree with you, used to go a lot many years ago but think it has been the devil of its own success. We went again around six years ago and decided we wouldn’t bother anymore, however I do agree with some others who have commented, you do have to avoid the weekends.

I agree you definitely picked the wrong night to do it! When my brother and I went this year we went on a Wednesday and Thursday night in September and it wasn’t as rammed! The queue times were around 25-30 mins max for the less popular houses and then ghost busters and stranger things were the longer queue times around 80-120 towards the end of the evening! We always buy express passes anyway for hhn to experience all the houses in one night but we usually get to do 4 houses in the stay and scream zones which really helps as you’re not queuing for that long! Shame you both had a disappointing experience, hopefully the next evening was better :-)

We were there the same night. It was overcrowded and the wait times were false. We waited 2 hours for ghostbusters when it said an hour! Preferred Mickys not so scary 😂 still going through all the candy we brought back with us‼️
I totally agree with your review of HHN, we did it a few weeks ago and found the best and scariest parts are the street performers. I don't think we would do it again unless they changed the houses in a big way.

Good video and info! A sold out Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is just as bad in my opinion. WAY too many people, it's insane. We were at the sold out party Sept 22nd and we had to leave early.
I would only by the scarepass (or whatever its called) so I can skip the lines - despite the price... because those lines and crown sounds like the real nightmare.
We experienced the exact same thing at Halloween Horror nights and we went two weeks ago on a Thursday which is supposed to be a quiet night to go! So busy, false wait times, got stuck in the Yeti queue as well for longer than it said and for some reason standing in line for an hour felt like two hours. We were dead on our feet by the end of it but we did enjoy it and all the scare zones. And I did get a pair of those light up 80s glasses and it cost $27, I nearly choked when she told me the price but still got em, souvenir for me! Enjoying the vlogs by the way, I’m missing Orlando!!

Unfortunately it seems like it's the only way to make the most out of visits now, such a shame as one night now costs so much money, it's a family favourite of ours so we always do it but it is SO expensive, especially in comparison to when we first started buying these passes (£49 back we we started buying them as a 'treat' now a necessity if you want to get it all done in one night) they need better crowd control for HHN, being it's by far their biggest session of the year, it's a shame to have people leave with a bad experience when there is so much potential there if they just thought more about the customer experience!

The Lodge Guys When i went on holiday to Orlando we were at HHN the first weekend it came out on the Sunday, Ghost busters said 35 but was extremely low around 15 to 20 minutes we also went to the back of the park for the less popular houses which said 20-30 minutes each but only ended up being around 10-20 minutes each, we managed to get a lot done when we went back it was also a Sunday Stranger things, Us were both 60 minutes but were only 30 minutes each

Maybe im just nostalgic as the last time i went was in 2004 and it was terrifying, chainsaws and screams where heard even before entry into the gates, ques where 20 mins max for houses and entry was cheap. this year we spent $70 to get in and watched one show. Waited for house of 1000 corpses as it was 35 mins but ended up giving up after and hours wait then as we left it was 80 mins. Stranger things and Ghostbusters where 150-180 mins most of the night and the street areas had all of about 3 staff per area trying badly to scare passers by with no atmosphere or smoke just random bloodied patients pr purgers looking out of place. In the end we just ended up walking about bored s***less then headed home. Problem is I cant see it changing there when people are happy to wait over 2 hours for a house and people seem to think this was a good night out, again maybe im relating to previous years but im just glad i got to be a 90s kid when universal was at its peak and by that i dont just mean the Halloween parts but also the rides like terminator and jaws.

Universal halloween can only be done if you buy an express pass. They charge a lot $$, but I think it’s all done by design.

Which is fine as long as you want to spend even more money on top of the normal hhn ticket price. Seems universal are pushing that more and more.

Did it beginning of October weekday was busy but was given a tip to start at the back furthest house and work our way forwards managed 7 out of the 10
