At The very moment all of this came out with my prodigal spouse, all I kept hearing from the Lord was, give him Grace.. , over and over and over again that’s what I heard, and honestly it was not hard to forgive him. And I often question myself, and I ask, why has it been so easy to forgive him, and the only answer I can come up with is God.. He has hurt me, and my children so much, our hearts are broken, but I forgive him, I don’t hold any animosity towards him, I love him unconditionally, what he has done does not change how I feel about him. And honestly, I don’t think he knows quite how to handle it. I know he was expecting the opposite from me, when it’s nothing like that. And to be honest, I was expecting the opposite from me.
Wow. I feel like you said how I have felt exactly. It's been difficult but God has given me grace o cannot explain peace and forgiveness when deep inside I know I could have been so ugly because of how it's been but for once in my life I could not be ugly mad hurt yes but forgiving in a way I know its God. God provides restores heals and I know he is bringing things better than before but he keeps telling me sit and be patient its hard to but 20 times a day I have to remind myself its for God's purpose not mine.
Wow, God is showing us our absolute worst moment can be our best! This is heavy. Only with a fully surrendered heart can it happen. I Thank God for using you my sister in Christ. Blessings

I was frustrated and unhappy in our marriage, and I told her I realized I dimmed her light, but outside of that, I was also frustrated extremely, like did I make a mistake? Etc…but getting in the word, I realize my ways, but it doesn’t seem to apply to her. She said through this process, she’s being Obedient to God, and wants to see what’s in the other side of her obedience, but I know that doesn’t line up with his word.

She is a good woman who loves our children so much that she would do anything for them. Everyone needs to know God's design for men, women, and marriage before they even date. They should discuss these things during courtship, and should be reflecting whether they are in agreement. Marriage should not be a disappointing surpise of discovering they are not in alignment with God's order for a husband and wife.
Well put. We undergo proper training before handling a gun, driving a car, or doing any other important thing in life that could be dangerous. Why not undergo the proper training for something even more important than any of that, like marriage?

I'll share that I'm getting tired of standing. My wife left 15 weeks ago and closed her stone heart even before that and has not re-opened it. She said that she got the divorce papers 3 weeks ago but has not given them to me. I'm weary but growing closer to and still holding on to God. I'm praying that God soften her heart but more than that I am praying for God's will.

I'm praising God that she seems to be going fast with this and she left after 5.5 years, because I don't want to wait 20 years for her to finally get remarried or I die. I went through her poor treatment of me for too long as it is and 11/19 it makes 6 years of marriage (Sunday makes 20 weeks since she left). I'm still standing for the marriage, but don't really want to wait decades for a cold, hard-hearted, unforgiving woman who doesn't care.

The betrayal from someone that is suppose to love, cherish and protect you is excruciating and can bring up so many emotions. My spouse moved out on sept 2020 just before his birthday and 4 months before 24 years of marriage. I was devastated my heart felt like it was pulled from my chest and crushed. I have been standing for over 2 years now and without the Lord I would not have made it this far. I want you too know God loves you and He is close to the broken hearted. He even understands your anger but He doesn't want you to Stay there bitterness will hurt you and cause you too do things you will regret. God can heal your hurt and He will of you allow Him. I know it doesn't seem like it but God is working behind the scene on your husband, He is also calling you too himself. I had to take the focus off my husband and put it one myself and what the Lord wanted to do in me. I still have days that I cry and feel lonely but God will give you then encouragement and help you need. There are so many testimonies where the Lord restored marriages and brought home then husband is a brand new man. My husband sold out home and filed divorce soon after he left and we have been in the divorce process since Jan 2021. Dont give up trust the Lord and He will not fail you.
