People here who are complaining about speaking in English, but people forget that Mani Ratnam and Gautham Menon have lot of multi language fans. Plus there are countless Tamil interviewers in our industry, why can't we promote a few English interviews. It gives a new perspective of people and their thoughts.

Cinematography is a craft..cinema is very much of Director's views... putting together skills of various departments like music,dance,fights...so on...
Coming together Director intrigrate everything available on the table... "saying that he has to support the egos...as I said EGO of various people " he has balance with creation with no boundaries.. & need to accept the sacrifices of every one... element of humble is part of the PACKAGE.

Being a huge fan of both these amazing directors, it was truly excited to watch them together. It not always necessary that we should take things from them and apply it to only film industry, theres so much u can take in life. Gautham Sir , You stole the show. Great body language, it's a pleasure to watch you speaking. Your hands were equally expressive like your eyes. It's so beautiful to watch. For example , when you were discussing about writing , you were literally writing on the air while saying "writing" .. Chance ah Ille ..! Your question choices were perfect. They were technical enough yet simple to understand for non-media person like me. Mani Sir's explanation to your questions were simply superb. I didn't get bored with an hour of watching this interview..best thing I liked is smoothness of your speech , rightly paced conversation without shouting from rooftop. Sometimes your questions were conversational and lengthy. On those occasions , it is good to restate the question when you finish so that it gives clarity for viewers on what is been asked. Your shoulders were little loose. Sometimes you need that for casual look but ,too loose makes it little sloppy.. Probably sitting upright and then relaxing the shoulder may help I think .. :) and innum ore ore point :) .."and stuff like that " eh filler ah adikadi use pannreenge . Please just be aware of that. Overall it's a great work . way to go ..!

Really great work by Gautam Sir, as this was one bold step to get along with Mani Ratnam sir, which is actually a great inspiring one, even I could say it actually triggers up the fire and giving more details to our own emotions and passion towards film making..! Two great passionate film makers at the same table and giving lot of inspiration and fueling the heat of getting something done to portray to this living world! Kudos to the team and Mani sir!!!

The way he narrated the final Kamal incident brought some new expressions and a genuine moment of forgetting he's in interview mode and pretend in front of camera. it's rare to see Mani ratnam on camera like that. Also his perspective in terms of observations is superb.

Brilliant interview Gautam and Mani sir. It's such a pleasure to see two great filmmakers on screen together indulging in such a keen yet simple interview...! Being an avid scriptwriter myself, it was very interesting to hear Mani sirs insights into scriptwriting and filmmaking. Gautam sir, I am your biggest fan! It's a dream to associate with you and hope it comes true one day.

I see 2 legend of tamil cinema. One i know before other. But actually hierarchy is different
I got to know gautham before maniratnam . But maniratnam took me over and he is on to me. Legend that i came to know lately. See the conversation. One intellectual conversation worth watching 1 hour
