The Cavalier has a GM 2.2 2200 4 cylinder. Change up the intake manifold and throttle body and you could bolt it to the NV1500 transmission to use it in an S10.
I know the week you were there was one of the hottest on record here in N.C. Waynie appears to be hanging in there with you too! Good video and thankful for folks like his neighbor and Ray helping him out.
Squirrels are notorious for chewing up wires on vehicles too, John. We’ve had it happen to us a few times. Darn little critters. I’ve heard rabbits are bad too.
I'm in Knoxville and see the drivers being foolish and plain menacing. Around East TN there's some people who are just mean and doing bad things (drugs, stealing, and unspeakable things with children). Then you see the goodness of Appalachians. You can't be stuck on the negative side of things. Thank you for helping Waynnie.
Wayne’s a great guy to let you clean and get everything cleaned up! And get those cars going! Because he’s going to die sometime and his family can drive or sell those cars! It’s great he left the top up! If he didn’t everything would be eaten up!
The mice like the sweetness or something on car wires. Appalachian Trail hikers have issues with cars not starting at trail heads due to chewed up wires from the varmints, frequently.
That’s great you guys helping the old man! Now maybe he has some stuff to sell if he wants to buy whatever he wants! Or save the money for a trip or something he wants more than the car? It’s PLAYTIME!!!!! The strip club! Just joking!
Oh ok well this is what the rubbing compound does since you are asking. Rubbing compound, also known as cutting or abrasive compound, is a thick liquid that contains fine abrasive particles that can smooth out car paint. It's used to remove scratches, blemishes, and other imperfections from car paintwork, and can also restore the paint's smoothness and layer.
That Waynie's got more energy than most 60 year olds. I salute you John and the other guys for helping him do all that work!
I do too. Thanks John for all you do to help folks. Yes..take enough breaks with the heat the way it is in some of the states.

It's good that everyone is helping out but you need some advice on paintwork, you are put more scratches in the paint
I wish I was in the car to watch his face once he drove it again? But the breaks probably don’t work?
Are you a fingernail file Emory board, to them points, and have him to turn the engine over, If it’s not firing the coil may be bad..
