This video is tool-assisted: it was created by advancing the game one frame at a time and performing every input exactly as desired, then playing back the same input stream at 60 fps. This match was choreographed by me; both characters were controlled by me, not an AI; and there is no AI that controls a CPU similar to the way player 2 in this video acts.

The marth player saw how fast the bot picked fox... just looking at his hesitation to select marth in the character select screen showed his terrifying emotion... I already knew this was going to be a bloodbath.

Except for maybe getting combo’d on that last stock, the combo wasn’t true and could’ve been escaped with SDI.
This isn't a fair analysis. We should have at least seen the next two matches. What if that Marth player meditated and had a comeback?

Its actually hard to wobble someone who can dodge it so wobbling a TAS Bot would be impossible.

That's not true. If you have the wobble set up properly, it's impossible to break out in TAS because you never leave stun from either the pummel or the ftilt.
I like how the player visibly loses faith in winning after seeing the bot pick its character and tag.

Hi! ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ Brawl wasn't started till at least 2005. Smash 4 wasn't started till at least 2012. (These years aren't exact...they are based on memory, I could be off by a year or 2)
So what on earth makes you think Smash 5 is gonna be in development for the "Wii U 1.5" ?! If your refering to the announcement of a smash launch title, its most likely going to just a port of Smash 4...It would be unrealistic for it to be anything else!

Which situation? The end? Marth can actually SDI away the middle shine so Fox can't get behind him on the next shine. If Fox decides to shine again anyway, Marth gets hit offstage and can grab ledge.
+PTAS Melee is the combo at :38 escapable?
Practically every combo in Melee is escapable in some way. That combo had really tight timings and good but not optimal DI from Marth - better DI and SDI would have gotten him out of it. In particular, I had Marth DI the first bair up and in, as a decent player would do to avoid going too far offstage. However, this meant that Fox could edge cancel the bair, double jump, and hit Marth with another bair. No human player would be able to pull that off, so it's partially a matter of the Fox hitting the perfect move at perfect timings and partially Marth being human that the combo worked the way it did.
PTAS Melee Oh. That makes sense. Melee is so frustrating yet unique and fun because of the escapability. Well humans can't learn but maybe a vulcan can ;)

I especially like how when the bot was randomly choosing its character in the first few frames of the video, it gets jigglypuff, switches to the green bandanna costume, and THEN selects another character.

I don't have the brains to participate, but I would 100% watch
Would probably involved a lot of standing around doing nothing because no side will open themselves up to a clean hit. A Team scenario might work however since two characters laying down pressure on one might create unavoidable openings.
I'm not too big on competitive Melee but the thought of seeing someone play to even 90% of this standard really excites me. I can imagine a nobody in the Melee scene showing up to a high level tournament with the Melee gods and just JVing one of them out of nowhere.

Nah, usually these things are down to "the one with inputs processed first (within a frame) wins", unless there are random factors within the game, where the lucky one wins. But usually it gets awfully repetitive.
Sometimes that's how it works, but often things are processed simultaneously (ie hitboxes coming out on the same frame will clank if they connect). 2 perfect bots would probably not be very viewer friendly.
How it works?
The winner is decided by controller port priority.
Such is the nature of 20XX.

M2k has fought cpus like Batman when he was young, he knew the frame data, execution, and blandness of a cpu.
A TAS that doesn't have a couple of superhuman players or a CPU getting rekt, instead a second player supposed to act like a real player.

So that walljump is possible? at 56 secs?
Yes, but it requires you to slide up the left wall to grab the left edge, get up normally, do a frame perfect full hop laser, have precise aerial control to touch the right ledge just as the laser animation ends, and be frame perfect on your walljump.
Sliding up the left wall stores your walljump as going to the left, and every other action prevents the direction from being erased or overwritten until you active the walljump in the "wrong" direction.
