I just recently watched the Cecil Documentary on Netflix and I had never heard of Elisa Lam before. After watching I feel so much sadness. I feel like I lost a friend. I can relate to Elisa because I travel alone and feel hopeless sometimes. She seemed like such a sweet outgoing person and I think she was talking to so many people because she felt so alone. I feel like crying typing this. I wish I could have met her. 😭😭😭

Bravo. Thank you for humanizing the victim and her family.

Probably it is weird like meaning that it was the last book store that Elisa went too

You say we shouldn't have a mystery in this age of security cameras and cell phones--Well, it was 2013 and that Hotel was old and not kept well-it was in the middle of skid row. I think The Police were lucky that they even found the elevator footage. And if what you say is true that everything should be on camera in this "day of security cameras" then where's the footage of Elisa from your Bookstore? Why isn't all of her slightly over zealous and maybe even a little inappropriate interactions with the other guests at your bookstore on camera? I think you're a lovely woman and I'm so happy that one of the last human interactions Elisa had with a human was with You---and the following statement has nothing to do with You---but I'm really growing weary of reading all the blame on the hotel because they don't have her actual death on camera or allude to the fact that the Hotel, AND the Police, AND the maintenance guy that found her were in a big ol conspiracy.. I personally believe it was a manic episode that caused her death ALONG with some dark forces in that hotel that were too strong for her, in the state she was in, to fight. The conspiracy theories are ridiculous and must be so hard on the family. What really happened to Elisa I believe could never be caught on camera to the human eye, even if a CNN crew was following her up that ladder. May she rest in peace now--and her family find peace.

I agree with you. I feel bad for Elisa and I even feel emotional too. I feel like I lost a friend because I understand Elisa. I can't imagine how she must have felt being in the water tower not able to get out. I really do feel like crying and I wish I could have met her. I wish people would have respect and not treat this like some government conspiracy because it wasn't. Elisa had a loving family and seeing the look on her parents and sisters face on the Netflix documentary when she first went missing is going to haunt me forever. I can't imagine how they felt when they found her in the water tower. 😭😭😭

And what was the name of the book she purchased? That was delivered in the box by the two individuals...?
