I know you can’t go wrong with either the Wagoneer, Escalade or the Navigator. But there’s something about the Navigator that just has so much class and poshness about it, it just looks very stately and well stanced. Also, this car is not a technology box, this car is pure luxury.
Pretty nice vehicle. The price made my eyes water, especially when you think about what these trucks looked like 20 years ago haha. Crazy how far the automotive industry has come in the past couple decades.
All Manufactures have vehicles that you can load out and cost a fortune. You could get a nice Aviator for about $60,000 and be in and around Toyota and Lexus prices. It is unlikely that you would load everything up in extras.
I think it's time for Topher to drive a Superformance replica, whether it's a Cobra, GT40, or Grand Sport. It would probably sound great with the binaural audio as well which as far as I've seen hasn't been done elsewhere
Definitely need to get into something from them this summer. Filmed a FFR Cobra years ago for Winding Road and it was insane: ruclips.net/video/01xWrt2all8/видео.html
Honestly I hope Lincoln takes this exact thing and just makes it electric. Don’t change much else, if anything at all. Keep all the interior buttons and knobs and conservative aesthetics and have it be the traditional American counterpunch to the Model X and other future luxury electric 3 row SUV’s.
As long as the gas version is still available then it is fine to do electric but it will be a vanity project until the technology and engineering gets there.
Hey Topher! I agree with you about the refreshed 2022 Lincoln Navigator. But I think the one thing that Lincoln could do to knock it out of the park with the Navigator is to offer a High Powered Version of the PowerBoost Full Gas-electric Hybrid Engine as a choice for the people who still wants EcoBoost power, and save money on gas while saving the environment all at the same time.
Not saving on the environment. The only reason you should be buying hybrid cars is for the driving characteristics. Electric cars are the same. In the future electric vehicles will be kinder on the environment but we are nowhere near that point in technology and engineering.
My mom was like nah the navigator isn’t worth a look but when we had one as a rental for our trip to Orlando she was like this is nice we need to go to a dealer to take a look at one
Ever since the 4th generation of the Navigator was released, I fell in love! It was SO much better then the Escalade at the time, especially with that blue-ish interior and the white trim. I believe it was called the Yacht Club? I could be mistaken. But, the update for 2022 was not big at all. The headlights, in my opinion, look far worse than the originals, and the design on the interior is just getting too ford-like, old, and not how a Lincoln should be. The 5th generation Escalade has stepped up it’s game, especially with that curved OLED display, and it has somewhat of a great stance, although I do prefer the look of the Navigator when it’s parked. Hopefully the Navigator will get a redesign soon!
To put it short, after driving every 2022 large SUV you can think f for rental car, the navigator reminds me of Disney land, or specifically something I would use to go to Disney land. gives me that vibe from the chime to the inside welcome and the outside
I owned a 2019 Navigator. It was my second one, the first one (2015) was great. The newer one, the same model in the video was plagued with problems. Cam sensor failure, rear AC died twice, both needing a complete replacement. The rear entertainment system was worthless and would turn on and off with scrambled screens. When I had it in the dealership for service, they damaged the front bumper and driver door. Both needed repair. I sold it and bought an Escalade. No more Navs for me.
I just got the 2018 Navigator Select. I love it. It certain things that I wish it had, but I'm happy with it. I guess my next goal is to get the 2022. Maybe if I hit the lottery or something😂😂😂
hi TT. your statment of being 6'2 would fit this car perfect, im 5'7'' . what lincoln would you recomend for somone who is 5'7''? thanks & happy new year.
Hey Topher. I am thinking about going live on my channel. I would love to ask you a quick question. When you went live for the first time on your other channel, did you ask your fans whether, or not they wanted you to do a live video chat before you did it, or did you just went ahead and did it?
I think the Grand Wagoneer would be the third option. The Navigator has been in the game for 30 years. They actually invented the segment if memory serves me right…And yes it no longer has the V8 but that 3.5 L EcoBoost is more than competent. Just ask Ferrari…
On weekends I work a extra job for some extra money at enterprise luxury rentals. My job is to deliver or pick up cars from or for customers so I have driven The Navigator, Tahoe, Yukon, And Escalade and the Wagoneer. Pretty much all American luxury SUV’s and I got to say in my personal opinion the Navigator rides the best and drives the smoothest and quietest. And not to mention has plenty of power to get that huge SUV rolling with its 450 HP from its twin turbo V6.
The 2022 Lincoln Navigator is almost perfect just wish they left the rear tail lights alone. I like the 2021 rear tail lights instead they look amazing in person at night. The 2022 looks good but not quite as cool maybe I'm just being picky but other then that the new 2022 Navigator is nicer then the 2021.
Totally disagree. That’s a reason why they redesigned the rear is because so many people complained about how awful it looked. The rear lights looked upside down before. Looks much better on the ‘22.
It seems to me that the big American luxury suvs seem to all have cheaper interiors than the British and German rivals. I've noticed when driving new Ford products with the 10 speed theres still some harsh shifting going on and that's rather annoying. The grand wagoneers interior seems to be nicer than this and the Yuk...I mean escalade.
It’s pretty decent, but as usual with Ford products, the interior always seems a step below a lot of the competition. Lots of cost cutting and cheaper materials in areas. Maybe not as much in this vehicle, but you can’t tell me this interior is nicer than either the Escalade or Grand Wagoneer. Also Lincoln has a perpetual image problem. A Jeep or Escalade is cool or modern while Lincolns still feel like car your grandpa would buy
This generation of Navigator came out years before the new Escalade and Grand Wagoneer. It absolutely blew the old Escalade out of the water when it came out, but GM and Stellantis had plenty of time to bench mark and one up this vehicle with their new models. With that in mind, I think it still holds its own.
Jeep’s 20 screens are all laggy, car looks like a shoebox, and a luxurious Jeep? Jeep has no pedigree in the luxury car world. Escalade rear seats don’t massage you, Escalade front seats don’t have all the adjustments Navigator has, Escalade does have night vision and enhanced reality and a camera mirror… but that’s about it
"You can look at your fuel economy which I wouldn't recommend." 😆 Still don't understand how they can charge $100k for a car with the fuel economy of a '95 Ford pickup.
I guess when you have $100k flowing out your ears and you need something big that will entertain your ego while delivering your executive tush, snowflakes and overly priced gear. I just don't like that it doesn't offer more quality and refinement for the price. They make it seem like the affluent won't care as they normally don't keep these vehicles long as they need the latest new thing every couple years. Nowadays vehicles are not only expensive because of the tech but the safety and performance upgrades that really most people don't need, especially systems that make people more lazy and obtuse rather then alert and aware while driving. Just look how poorly people drive today especially in big tech suv's like this one. I once saw a lady shaving her leg while smoking a cigarette on the highway without touching the steering wheel. Some would applaud it's innovation, pointing to the safety tech that protects us from ourselves. Well to me I see the difference and it's not impressive positively.
I know you can’t go wrong with either the Wagoneer, Escalade or the Navigator. But there’s something about the Navigator that just has so much class and poshness about it, it just looks very stately and well stanced. Also, this car is not a technology box, this car is pure luxury.
Plus the Escalade makes you look suspicious, like related to a drug cartel or something lmao
Lincoln has figured out their niche, which is classic luxury.
Lincoln is THE American symbol of class and sophistication.
Escalade exudes top of the line, flashy American luxury
Navigator is elegant, classy, and opulent
The wagoneer is something
honestly the first word that comes to mind with this is “yacht”. it’s just massive
Definitely do more of these drives during this time the sunset adds a lot to the video.
